Thank you to:

*The families who suprise another family by offering to take a group picture.
*The parents who don't force their child up to me when he or she is truly scared
*The parents who make sure their children don't cut the line and appologize to everyone when they do
* the people who delight in watching other people's children react happily towards the characters
*the children with the big grins who run to my arms with such infectious joy
*the adults who are more excited than the children
*the toddlers who snuggle me and don't want to leave
*the parents who secretly want a hug too and are so happy when I surprise them with one
*the grandparents who absolutely adore the characters and aren't afraid to show it
* the kids who give me notes or drawings
*the chatty kids who tell me everything
*the children who sweetly say please and thank you without being prompted

Even on days when I'm feeling blue, I can't help but smile!

AngieBelle ~ That is very sweet. It is nice to know that the CM's enjoy their work too and get that same fuzzy feeling as they give visitors to WDW every day! I have always taught my kids to be respectful of others and on our last trip to WDW they were very good at remembering that and so many of the other guests were too. It was really a pleasant trip. Thank you for what you do every day!

As an adult who loves characters.... is a mom.... and grandmom..... THANK YOU!!!! I know it's not always easy to stay upbeat, but we really appreciate all you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

You are a big part of what makes WDW so special, your sharing has brought a smile to me tonight. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

:wizard: First I would also like to thank you.
Now I have two questions. What character are you, and how do you become a character. I have always wanted to do that, and I have been working for a company that does all cool things like that and I have dressed up as a whole bunch of characters and it is one af my favorite things to do. I would love to be Mickey Mouse. :earsboy:

I'm "good friends" with all the medium-short characters- mainly munks, Pooh, Gideon, King Louie, and a few others. :)

You have to call Disney casting for an interview after which you will be invited to an audition. At the audition, you learn a dance routine and act something out as well (a rodeo, playing in the snow, changing a tired, etc).

Which characters you get to be friends with is based on hieght. Mickey's close friends are 5ft and under.

:) It's a great job to play all day and make people smile and laugh!

I loved reading those...thank you so much!

A big THANKS to all of you terrific CM's, too.! :goodvibes

Ready to give Mickey a big hug!!!!!! 39 days to go!!!!!

As a mother, Disney lover and yes - one that goes up for my hugs with characters along with my daughter, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our trips such wonderful ones!!!!!!!! All my daughter (she's 5) wants to do at Disney is see characters and get autographs. She is one of the shy-ist (?) kids I know but is never afraid to go up and meet characters and I truly believe that our couple of trips to Disney has made her come out of her shell a bit!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! :earsgirl:

My family all LOVE meeting the characters. Last year, during our trip, all my hubby kept talking about is that he Loves Belle and can't wait to meet her. When he finally did(with my daughter), he actually skipped afterwards and kept saying "Belle Rocks!" It just ain't little girls that love the princesses...
Thanks to all characters who help make Disney a more magical place and allowing Everyone(regardless of age) feel like a kid again.. :earsgirl:

You're so sweet and that's what makes WDW magical; you going the extra mile to make everyone smile. Well, we will be sure to keep an eye out for Pooh, Gideon, and King Louie on our next trip.

Thank YOU, Angie Belle, and all the other great character 'friends' !!

My greatest Character memories go back almost 30 years when my oldest DD broke away in a dead run for Mickey when she was barely 2yo - I have been blessed with more character encounters (and pictures) than I can count in the last 30-some years - and last year I got my DGrD's first pic with Mickey when she was only 5 mos old!!!

I love the fact that, now that I occasionally find myself wandering the parks without any 'kids' in tow, the characters will still indulge my 'inner' child by hamming, hugging and dancing with me while DH patiently takes the pic - I like to pretend that I'm getting the pics to show the grandkids ! ;) :smooth:

You give more pure, child-like joy than you can ever know !!!

Thanks to you and all other CM's who make everything so magical! Disney wouldn't be Disney without you guys!

This applied to me on our trip last summer and it was Pooh. It was one of my magical moments :*)

AngieB....you guys spread more magic in a single day than most people do in a lifetime. You have no idea what joy you give. There are those kids that look like they are just 'too cool' for the whole character thing, but man...watch them after they get their picture. Or the kids who are somewhat shy but don't want to miss the chance, so go up to a character with some misgivings...Oh, those faces when they walk away are so priceless. Or the character that takes the extra time for a little one, bends down to talk to them on their level, making them feel at ease and making it such a great experience for the child.

So, from a mom of one of those above mentioned children, thank-you to you and all your buddies. Anything we can do to make your job easier...so, hopefully people will read your list and try to help you make the magic.

I'll be looking for you and the 'munks' in June....Thanks again for the magic :rose:

Angiebelle... I sat here in tears reading your post. It is so wonderful to know that you and other characters (I hope) truly do love your job. THANK YOU for making my families vacation something we will always remember! My kids have done several drawings over the years for characters, I am really happy to know that you enjoy them!
