A Celestial Dinner: Living With the Land
Epoct® Land Pavilion
Friday, April 28, 2006
Reception: 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Creative Growing Greenhouse
Dinner: 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. in the Harvest Greenhouse
* Special Note: Please wear light weight clothing due to the temperature in the Greenhouses*
Join us for this unique opportunity to discover the backstage operations of the Experimental Greenhouses at the Land Pavilion. The Epcot® Science Team team will divulge all the secrets of maintaining the agriculture in both Greenhouses and the surrounding six acres of land at Epcot®. The dinner, orchestrated by Mike Bersell, Chef de Cuisine of Epcot® Land Pavilion, and several passionate Epcot® Chefs will incorporate home grown ingredients to capture the true flavor of spring. In addition, Bob Broman, the winemaker from Guenoc Winery, located just north of San Francisco, will be joining us to present the stellar wines accompanying the dinner. This unique vineyard has been making viticulture history for over one hundred years, specializing in Petite Sirah and Vintage Port.
Guenoc also enjoys an amusing historical note. The famous Victorian actress, Lillie Langtry, settled in Lake County in 1888 and established Guenoc with the intention of making the greatest claret in the country. Today, Langtrys portrait has become the trademark label of Guenoc wines.
Guests will park in the Wonders parking lot and be escorted to the Land Pavilion. The evening will begin with a private voyage on the new Living with the Land Boat Ride.
