Sounds like you had a a tough day yesterday.
I hope today goes better.
It would be great if you could meet us on the 2nd (or 1st) of September 2015. We will be in Bloomington then.
Yes, yesterday was MUCH better. PHew! I don't think I could take 2 days in a row like that. LOL
Yes, I have it in my calendar, I am very much looking forward to it!!!
This all makes me giggle...
V being "moody" the girls and their photo shoot! you kissing V! Just love it all!!!
Glad you had a great Christmas!
I may as well say it now since i missed Christmas posting:
Hehehe... V's moods are pretty predictable... and we are pretty good at not letting them bother us too much and just going on as normal - most of the time - we exaggerate our happiness.

But we love her!
We had a wonderful Christmas! Happy New Year to you too Mo!!! Love you!
Sounds like you had a good day in AK despite the heat. Too bad you didn't get to see the baby gorilla.
We did - it was a nice day. We would have stayed longer, but it was just too hot, and bff was crashing fast... The heat combined with the "run" I made her do earlier in the morning was not sitting well with her stamina.
V was really bummed about the baby gorilla, I wish I would have known that it was only out in the mornings, we could have tried to go there before the Nemo show.
Loved the updates. I probably would be moody in that heat too. We have yet to see the Nemo show. We did see Lion King this time.
Such a drag about the tires. Not a good way to start the day.
Today is
Disneyland day for Marissa. No park hopper, so no running to California Adventure, but this is actually a good thing. It narrowed her choices of things to do. Now she can focus on Disneyland and Mickey beignets and shopping.
I did make it to the meat market. Grass fed is more money, but I think I did pretty good. I also stopped at Cappella's Market for overpriced veggies and my free range, Omega-3 eggs. I am always scared to go in there for fear I will be zapped into a hippie.
The headache today is unbelievable though. I know they said to expect it on days 2-3, but I figured that was due to no caffeine and I have been without caffeine for 2 weeks, so that should be over and done with. It must be withdrawals from sugar? Looking forward to the kill everything stage.
Now that I have seen both shows, I much prefer FOLK vs. Nemo... Nemo is a basic recreation of the movie - and even though it's fun to see how the puppeteers kind of disappear into the set, I love how FOLK is done - and I love seeing it over and over again... The music, the costumes... Just love it all!
Yah - the tire fiasco was not fun at all, especially for Josh.
I sure hope Marissa enjoyed her Disney Land day!
Hehehe... I wish I could afford the organic eggs all of the time, I buy them when I can. We don't do grass fed meat at all - I should - maybe we can afford it once the girls go off to college (hahahaha)... But we do buy our meat from a local farmer - so that consoles me somewhat... At least it's not from the grocery store where the meat comes from who knows where?
I had a killer headache on the night of Day 1 into Day 2... It was awful. I don't think the headache comes from lack of caffeine... It has to come from something else, because both of us had it - you gave up caffeine weeks ago, and I am still drinking the same amount I did previously (minus the creamer) - so it must be something else that causes it? I sure hope yours is better by now, mine is completely gone on it's own.
That's awful about Josh's tires. My dil Melissa needs new tires on her car, so she got some gift cards for Christmas to help pay for them, and wouldn't you know, her battery died, so she needed to use some of her tire money for a new battery.
When we were there in Sept, the baby gorilla was not out at all. We were told it would still be a week or two before they brought him out.
I've been playing around with doing some quilting on my embroidery machine, but the area is so small that I can't do the designs I really want to do on it, so Charlie bought me a new Singer machine with a larger embroidery hoop area Can't wait for it to get here!
I think I'm going to start the South Beach diet again. The first two weeks are totally carb and dairy free, so I guess I'm going to have to give up my morning coffee for a couple of weeks. Also, we are going to get a new treadmill today. The one we have is at least 20 years old and it will change speeds all by itself! C says it speeds up on him, but when I use it, it always slows down. I'm also going to pick up some heavier barbells, since I need to up my workout.
I have to say that seeing the pictures from your trip and looking at more recent pictures, I can definitely see a difference!
Figures... I know - I need new tires... And it's just my luck that Josh gets them before I do. Oh well... Still saving for them - they are soooo expensive, but I had to get that darn brake calliper fixed first - so that meant starting over with tire savings. Sigh. Such is life - there's always something.
Hmmm... I wonder why the baby gorrilla was out for us then? Not sure?
Congratulations!!! What kind of Singer did you get? That was a very awesome gift from Charlie!
I have never done the Southbeach Diet - I know nothing about it. Is it healthy for you? And is it sustainable for a life time?
Congrats on the new treadmill - I can see why you need a new one... Your old one sounds awfully dangerous to me!
Yes, pick up that weight and put it down again - it's a great way to build muscle... Don't be afraid to progressivily lift heavier - it's so good for you in many ways!
Thank you - I don't see much of a difference between August and now - which is really frustrating to me... but I just keep pressing on.
Sounds like you had fun at the water park even if you had trouble meeting with the girls at the top of the ski lift.
Too bad you couldn't get the boat to DTD.
We did have a lot of fun! I do enjoy the water parks so much - I just wish we would have had the time to use them more.
Yes - I enjoy taking the boat to DTD so much!!! But at least we got to go.
OMG i am laughing so hard at this picture.. Not you but of the two people behind you!
Like what is this crazy chick DOING?!?!
OMG i can't stop laughing...
Hahaha... I get that A LOT! LOL
Holy Crap that is a lot of updates!!!
look at you go!!! I love it all. even V being angry is funny!!!
I totally forgot to tell you Santa brought Meg an Alex and Ani Little mermaid and she LOVES it!
Ok Ok i have to get out of here.. I want to post more about this.. As it is my favorite SO FAR of your updates!
Yes, I updated a lot yesterday... I might do more today... Not that I want to wrap this up, but I feel like I've really been slacking lately and I want to make up for it.
Awww... I bet she does! My girls love their Alex and Ani bracelets! I wear mine all the time too... I asked for more for Christmas, but no one got any for me.

Oh well... I got my HUGE Perfect Petals duffel - which I am extremely excited about! It will get lots of use!
Man, you're an updating queen today! I love all the waterpark pictures. We are so going to have to try one of the waterparks when the girls are older. Going around the lazy river all day sounds wonderful!
I love all the pics from DTD. We haven't spent a lot of time there on our last trips-- I miss it. Lovin those Alex & Ani bracelets-so cute!
Almost forgot--the pictures of alli sleeping, past and present, are great!
Thanks! I was way overdue for some updates, for sure!
The lazy river is awesome! I just love the huge family raft rides and the lazy rivers at both parks - although the family raft ride at BB is much better (and longer and smoother) than the one at TL. We enjoy the water parks immensely, and would never be able to do a summer trip to WDW with out going there.
Thanks! We love going to DTD, definitely not a whole day thing though - unless you take a break in the middle to go back to the resort and swim. Maybe when they are done with all the renovations - it might be an all day thing?
Hehehe... I thought they were hilarious. I don't think she even knows they exist.
Wow you've been busy updating today. Blizzard looks like fun ,although I'dd probably only go on the lazy river Sorry about the miscommuncation with V. She kind of reminds me of my daughter with her moods.
I have the same Vera bag. I bought it on my last trip. It's not used a lot because I like to switch bags.
I'm glad work went fast yesterday. We reset new release movies and that took most of the day.
Today We stopped at Target for a few things after going to the bank it was still quite busy.
Have a good day.
Liz
Yes - it was a great day for updates! I was excited to get so many of them knocked out!
We love the lazy river, but I can usually only go twice around at a time - by then I am all shriveled up and starting to take on water. LOL
Hehehe... Yes, she has her moods - but they are part of her character, and pretty predictable. We just go about our day and let her work through it, she comes around eventually.
Just happy to have the holidays over - even though they are my favorite time of year to work at Target.
I hope you have a great day, as well.
Looks like you had a great time in DTD
We did, it was a lot of fun! We love shopping!
**********************************************************
Yesterday was a nice day for me...
I did my heavy lifting right away and got it done for the day.
Then I cleaned a little bit... I always take about 20 minutes every morning to clean my kitchen... I do any spare dishes left over from the night before, clean my counters/stove/table and sweep my floors. It takes such little time, and then I don't have to worry about it later in the day when I am trying to rush to make dinner. It's kind of nice.
Then I did all of my updates here... It took me a few hours, but it was a relief to have it done. I might do more today? I am not sure?
Gus came over after work yesterday... He hung out with Alli for a few hours then he took her to work on his way home. That was so nice!
I made the Chocolate Chili from Well Fed for dinner last night. I thought it was good, V and Josh couldn't wrap their minds around the fact that there were no beans in it... Seriously - V picks them all out anyways - she should have loved it? And Josh didn't like the spices in it... He said there was "something" in it that didn't agree with him... Ahhh - well - there was nothing strange in it, so I showed him the recipe after dinner and he said it was the Allspice...

There was 1tsp in that whole pot... Whatever. I thought it was really good - a little too salty for me, so the next time I make it - I will half the recipe and not share with the family and I will use less salt.
Otherwise, I had a great Day 2 on the Whole30... I am still in the honeymoon phase though... It's bound to get worse before it gets better.
Here's all of my meals from yesterday... In retrospect, I think my lunch was a bit larger than it should have been - however - I had NO desire to snack between lunch and dinner like I usually do... So maybe it was a success afterall? I am also tolerating the avocado/guac... Normally I have horrid stomach pain when I eat it - maybe it's from not having a gallbladder any longer? Anyways, I made the guac homemade the other night from 1 avocado, and I split it into 3 meals, and my stomach was OK. Avocado is an excellent form of fat to eat, which helps keep you satisfied longer, so it's really something I want in my diet.
On to Day 3 today... And big thanks to Suzi for giving me the idea of cinnamon in my black coffee... Since I can't have sugar or my creamer in my coffee during the Whole 30, I either have to drink it black or give it up... Suzi suggested cinnamon - and boy, it definitely isn't sugar/creamer, but it certainly helps A LOT! So,

my coffee is tolerable. Life is good.
So, today is New Year's Eve... No plans. Just another day. We are not really big into NYE, we never have been. Try as I might - I cannot stay awake that long - even if I take a nap during the day.
Gus is coming over later though to hang out with Allison... Tomorrow is their "4 month anniversary"... I told her that she better have something awesome planned for him this month, because he has done something super sweet for her every month and she has done nothing for him. So, we'll see how that goes...
Yesterday was Olivia's Sweet 16 birthday... So the girls and I are meeting up with BFF tomorrow and going out to lunch with them to celebrate. I miss that girl! We bonded so well in WDW... I'd love a do-over of this trip, just to spend more time with the 3 girls.

I am so very lucky to have the relationship I have with them, truly I am. I love them all to death!
OK - I better get moving on my day...
I have a work out to do... Kitchen cleaning to do... Maybe and update or two to do... We'll see.
Happy New Years Eve to all of you!!! If you are going out tonight - be sure to be SAFE!!!!

Have a sober cab... Party at home... Whatever... We all love you!
