I think the floor looks great! I agree with Josh, painted outlets are horrid....didn't you say you wanted to out rod iron sconces next to the canvas? Maybe you could get a black outlet cover to kind of go with that. Or if you have so,e brushed steel candle holders or something up there, get a brushed steel cover. You can make it look like it belongs
All the craziness will be worth it when you move everything back in place and see your beautiful floor in action
Have a great day!
Gosh - you are right, I know I missed this one for sure. I am so sorry if there are others.

I'll try to be better about scrolling up to see if you are up there.
THank you... I know - I don't like painted outlets either. This time of year, it's easy to hide with MM's stocking, but other times of the year, it'll prove to be more difficult. We will figure out something. I do have to say - painted covers are much better than wallpapered covers.
I know - I am so happy to have everything back in place. I have a HUGE mountain of dishes to do today, after a weekend of no dishwasher and no doing dishes. It will be a fun morning for me. :
Love you! Mean it!
Have a great time tonight.
I'm amazed at home of the food Is crap, and for kids how many activities have food. My girls school holiday party is an ice cream sundae deal. Had to sign permission for them to have ice cream, whip cream, sprinkles and chocolate syrup.
Last year after field day they had ice pops and the permission form had the ingredients on. First this was high fructose corn syrup.
Thank you - it was just the best weekend! I will tell you all about it below - and post a bazillion pictures too.
I know - it makes me really angry, Allison and I were talking about it a lot yesterday, it's just so sad. Then things that society pass off as "food"... Yah - it's awful.
Happy Anniversary. Have fun tonight.
I'm glad Allie is taking it slowly after all that time her body has to adjust to eating meat again.
Your kitchen looks so good. I'd like to put something like that in my kitchen.
The mantle looks nice all decorated for Christmas. I have a mantle above my fireplace but it has a lot of Disney snow globes on it. I'm afraid the cats would try to take down the garland while I'm at work.
An update on my friend at work. She didn't get in trouble for leaving early which is good. They told her that since she felt she couldn't do her job and had told a member of management about that customer and why she was leaving it was ok.
Today we're supposed to be taking pictures with Santa if the guy that's is staying in for Santa can do it. Last week it was too busy and he couldn't leave his regular job.
Have a good weekend.
Liz
Thank you! Me too... She is going slow, and I think that's good. Although - she is going a bit faster than I thought she would... She had a hamburger at Applebees last night with Gus... I am just happy to see her eating meat again. I know, as soon as her body adjusts - she is going to switch over to primal, she has her heart set on it.
Thanks! I am super happy with how it's turned out - I feel so much better just having these few new things in place. Strange, I know, but total truth.
So glad your co-worker did not get in trouble. Retail is so hard this time of year, to have all that added on top of it.
I hope you had fun taking pictures with Santa, we had our picture with Santa this weekend too...
Have a great weekend Liz! Thanks for stopping by.
Ok, I guess I have to try to respond in the evenings because you always miss me when I post in the mornings. It seems like we are on at the same time in the AM It's happened a few times, but I forgive you
So glad Allison is eating meat again.....you can be very healthy as a vegetarian, but I'm just happy that you don't have to continue to cook a separate meal for her! How exciting to have a "primal buddy" to continue this journey.
Your kitchen looks amazing! I love that mantle (my autocorrect spells it that way). I can't wait to see you decorate it for every season!
So sorry I've missed lots of your posts.

I've gone back to find one - I'll try to find more, if I can. And I"ll make sure I scroll up after I do my posts in the morning to see if you've been sneaky.
I know - yes, you can be very healthy as a vegetarian, but you also can't be, depending on what you eat... And to be honest -I am not sure she was a very healthy vegetarian, not through any fault of her own, but even at school - her "vegetarian meal" they provided for her was a PB&J sandwich and french fries... There is nothing good about that, in all honesty. She still plans to eat vegetarian at school - but she will eat what we eat at home. That will take a little while for me to get used to. LOL I am very excited about her swtiching over to Primal with me - it will be awesome! I only wish I started eating like this when I was her age, I see what it's done for me now, and well, I wish I would have started earlier.
Thank you - I am very happy with my mantle too... That is also how my autocorrect spells it. I am beginning to think that you can spell it either way though?
Sounds like you had a great day on friday.
The mantle looks great.
This weekend has been busy for me. On Saturday me and some friends was having a Lucia celebration for our geocaching friends. We backed lussekatter (I have no clue of what it is called in English) and had a drink called gløgg (I have no clue of what that is called or what is really in it) without alcohol in it, so everyone could drink it.
Here is our lussekatter
Lucia is not celebrated that much in Norway, but in Sweden it is a very huge celebration. So at our event my friend (who is Swedish) told all the Norwegians why we celebrate Lucia and how it is done in Sweden. We had small Lucia Parade and sang two traditional Lucia songs they sing in Sweden.
After the Lucia part of our event it was time to eat some lussekatter and have som gløgg while talking about geocaching adventures
It was a fun evening.
Today my friend and I went to a Julebord (I'm not sure what you would call it in English) with a Association I'm a member of. Julebord is very big in Norway, not so much in Sweden. Julebord is when you go out to eat Christmas food often served as a buffet so you can eat what you like with friends or your work colleagues or as we did with a Association you are a member of.
That's what I have been up to this weekend. It was fun having something special to do for once
It does sound like you had an amazing weekend - the lussekater looks delicious! I was wondering if that was a Sweedish tradition - I remember that Kirsten, the American Girl doll had these little snacks, but I can't remember what we called them?
Thank you so much for sharing - I love hearing about all of your traditions and food! It's all so lovely!

This time of year is just so fun with all of the traditions and festivities.
**********************************************************
I am so excited to tell you all about my weekend... Sadly - I have so many pictures to share, I have to do it in another post...
I will share a couple here, though - they are out of order.
First off, my weekend...
Josh had a big Pheasants Forever meeting to go to, where the Governor of MN attended - so he was gone all day on our anniversary. His meeting/conference went well - he even had a few opportunities to speak - which was pretty cool.
While he was gone, I worked on a few Christmas gifts... Tried to take a nap... Got ready for our big date... He told me I needed to pack - so I packed. Alli did my make-up - she made me look amazing, I am going to have her teach me how to do what she did, because I loved it!
I am skipping over our entire anniversary night, I"ll do that one in my next post.
Yesterday, we came home. I got ready again. And Alli and I went to my Dad's. Josh and V stayed home - they were not feeling well - V had a sore throat, and Josh's stomach was not acting right - he thinks it was from our meal on Saturday night?
So, Alli and I drove up to my dad's - it was 50° here, and very warm for this time of year - which was great for road conditions, but it created a lot of super dense fog. There were several times on our trip, we debated on turning around.
We stopped at Chipotle on the way to have some lunch - and we took a selfie.
The reason we were headed to my Dad's, is that the nursing home/assisted living facility was having it's annual Christmas event... Imagine our shock, when we pulled up - and had to park BLOCKS away! This event was HUGE! The entire community was there, it was amazing... They had beautiful horse drawn carriages, and family activities put on by the residents through out the nursing home - it was really cool...
And my Dad got the HIGHEST honor... He was chosen to be Santa Clause, because of his gorgeous perfectly white beard. He had lines of children all day long, just waiting to see him. It was very fun to see! We even had our own turn...
Sadly - we couldn't stay long, and we didn't get to do any of the other fun stuff. We were really worried about the traveling conditions, so we ended up doing a quick turn around trip. 5 hours on the road, for a 30 minute "visit"... But it was worth it, just to see this. Next year - we will be prepared and we will plan the whole day there... They had Christmas cooking decorating, pie... Just tons of crafting activities - really cool, really, really cool!
We came home, and Josh was reinstalling our dishwasher -
He also took us out for dinner - Chinese... Which was NOT good for me at all... I don't know that I will ever eat Chinese again. Too many sauces, too much saltiness, everything is deep fried. It was not good at all.
Gus took Allison out for dinner while we were out...
V and I caught up on OUAT... Love that show!
V and I also did a bit of gift wrapping... I have lots to do yet - where they can't help me. However, I might just box it up and put their names on it - then they can help. LOL
Gus left.
We all went to bed. It was a great night and a fun weekend.
Today, it's a Target day... Sigh. That is all.
Stay tuned, if you want to hear about what Josh and I did for our anniversary...
