A Carnival Cruise.....With A Chicken?

Great pictures! I so wish I could go on a cruise. I want all that yummy food! Especially the desserts! Glad the chicken is so prepared. :rotfl2:

Loving the food porn. I had chocolate covered strawberries for the first time in months yesterday. That really is a beautiful ship. Glad to see the chicken is prepared for an emergency.
Yeah he was prepared for few more things. He got into trouble!
Yay for being the first ones on the boat! popcorn::
That may never happen again, unless I get to VIP!

Well, we woke up and it was a nice day to go to Catalina, I think I woke up at 6 am. We were not sure how tendering worked. So we got up and got ready and decided to go to the MDR and get breakfast.

I had eggs benedict and chris had an omelet and they were both so good.

We sat with a nice couple who serve in the military. They had a tour to get to so they needed to catch the first tender. We parted ways and started making our way down to level 3 catch a tender. On the way I caught a few pictures.

It was a little choppy, but it only took 5 minutes to get there.

You can see we were not that far from the ship

next post a neat house..

While researching the shore excursions, I noticed a tour that took you walking and it had mentioned a home that someone built out of two shipwrecks. Well me I am always trying to look for ways to save some money. Some excursions can be costly and not worth it to pay.

We went to the left side of the shopping area from the pier in search of the bargain for the golf cart. We waited a while before getting the cart. I asked the lady in the shop about the house and where it was located, as good as it could be it was within walking distance. I have no history of the house or how they even moved it there. I wish I could of gone inside, I would love to know if the inside was kept the same or if they updated things.

Oh well I guess I cant do everything.

Photobucket froze, so I had to wait to the next post..

These are the pictures..

It is hard to capture so many details as I certainly cant walk inside someones gate. I dont know how they made that thing into a two story. Hopefully I can go back one day and see the inside.

Upnext we get the golf cart and explore... boy did we do the stupid too...

Your breakfast looked great. That is a beautiful city. The house is way cool. It looks so nice to be built from shipwrecks.

Looks like a Mark Twain House. Cut out the bushes and you could tell people it's on the water.

The breakfast is always good. I was in awe I could of taken so many more pics but it was time to move on. Good thing its within walking distance.

If I did that, and then some one went to visit it, it wouldnt be on the water.:rolleyes1

The breakfast (well yours) looked yummy. I don't care for eggs cooked well done like Chris's omelet was...I like mine like I like me meat, still sort of kicking!

Nice pictures Usnuz. That's a very cute house.

I'm with Alison....cooked eggs are nice and all that but I like my eggs poached with a runny yolk. :thumbsup2

Moving along, we decided after looking at the house to return to the rental place and get our limo around town,

If you go there walk to the left end of town and at the end is the rental company. Mention the special before noon. Buy two hours get one free for 80.00 dollars. They only accept cash. 40 dollars is cash deposit which you get back.

I really like unique things I really would love to drive this

I am not a fan of heights, but chris took this of a guy doing the zipline

Oh yeah, our mistake! Can you say follow the path? Dont drive on the red brick area, no driving allowed. Can you say embarrassing?

This is the grocery store Vons and the other Vons express. They are small. Prices run about the same.

The round building is the casino , which is closed. They do have public showers available. I didnt get how much it was. But there are all kinds of eateries everywhere. We decided it was time to turn our limo in, it backfired on us twice. And back to the ship to eat some lunch.

I guess I didnt get a pic of mine. After lunch I told chris we needed to check on Tom . He doesnt dig water. He missed out. Upon our return I have no idea what he did and where he got the lei. I cant leave him again.
