A/C Units at SSR?

I have a sort of weird question about SSR. What type of A/C unit do they have? One of the motion sensors you can override yourself? We are thinking about buying DVC there but after our problems at AKL this actually may be a sticking point with us.

I believe they have those as well - I can't specifically remember, but I actually have instructions in my Owner's Locker for overriding the A/C @ SSR, so I'm thinking that's why. I don't think we have ever used them.

You're going to find most of the resorts have those now, or will in future refurbs, and you can usually find an override, so that is nothing I would consider in my purchase decision.

I wouldn't have considered it either until our recent AKL stay. There's doesn't let you override the motion sensor so it was too hot for us to sleep. It was a big mess with a day lost from vacation with various maintenance people coming to our room. It never got resolved and management at AKL left lots to be desired. We would rather stay offsite than deal with that again so I am trying to be proactive

All resorts built in the last several years have the motion sensing thermostats and motion sensing exhaust fans in the bathrooms. I can see how they save Disney a lot of money on their energy bills, I just wish that they had a timer instead of the motion detector.
