Have you encountered a line cutter like this?

We used FP's for Buzz as our last ride and just after we entered a lady went under the ropes from the stand-by line into the FP line. She acted like she was chasing her 2-3 yr old. I thought nothing of it until she and her family continued to follow us all the way to the CM taking FPs inside the building. My dh handed the CM our stack of 5 and she waved us through. Then the CM asked the lady behind me how many in her party and after she stated 4 she looked at me like she was part of our group and somehow the CM must have interpreted that to mean that her FPs were in the stack dh had given her?? I'm not sure exactly how this happened, but the CM waved her on. So she made it past the CM without giving her any FPs. I turned back and politely told her this entry was for those with FPs only. She just stared at me. So then I asked her if she had any FPs. She said "Do you work here?" in a very snotty tone. I was flabbergasted. By this point we were too far away from the CM and I couldn't easily go back and say anything. But I was fuming. I wonder how many other times she "used" people in the FP line like that. She seemed to have it down to a science.

 RRRGGGGR, Those people disappoint me! Obviously no conscience. Maybe they need a little visit from our beloved Jimney Cricket (sorry if I spelled Jim's name wrong. Lets pray everyone who passes :goodvibes through the gates at DLR will be transformed to good by the magic of disney! Amen

There's a special place in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride reserved for people like this.

Sorry you had to experience rude people, but consider yourself lucky if this was the worst you saw. Believe me, the parks are full of 'em. :sad2:

Yes, that is pretty bad. Almost as bad as the lady who was making the mad dash to Nemo at park opening and ran into my DD7 kicking her shoe right off her foot. DD7 started crying because it hurt her foot, and the lady muffled a brief "I'm sorry" before continuing her mad dash. Since when is getting on a ride so important you'll hurt a 7-year-old in the process? At least stop to make sure she's okay!

Thankfully, the majority of people at Disneyland are kind, fun-loving people. It's those ugly few that just don't care.

You know what's funny, almost immediately after it happened, I thought, I gotta share this with my Disboard friends! What nerve that lady had! What frustrated me the most is that this had to happen on the last day, our last ride. Not the way I wanted to leave DL. Overall, most people were respectful and friendly. Wish we could throw out the sour grapes, though!

Awe that is so frustrating! I hate being in the situation where something crappy is happening to you and you sort of know it but don't REALLY know it until it's too late to do something about it and then you think, awe man if only I had realised she was piggybacking us seconds before I could have said something to the CM. That totally sucks, especially being it was your last ride so that event will stick out in your mind.
I really wish people would just wait their turn instead of trying to cheat the system. I think I will make a shirt for my trip in a couple of weeks that says on the back LINE CUTTERS STOP HERE!

People are sooo rude. Read my Jedi training post.
It seems like everyone thinks the park is there for them and them alone. Don't you wish there was a system where you could red flag budgers and rude people, so everyone knew about there poor manners!!!! :rotfl2:

Wow, that is bad. They are getting crafty I must say. We even experienced this in the line to have our bags checked before going to the gates one morning. A group of older teens (17-19 I'd say). They believed that since they didn't have any bags they could just come up to the front of the line (where we were) and cut right in front of us. Now I should add that the line to check bags was quite long that morning and we had already been waiting quite a while.

So we informed them where the line started. That's when we got the "We don't have bags, so why should we wait?" line. Well my DH didn't have a bag, which we pointed out, and said everyone should wait their turn. They then started complaining about how Disney should have a line for those with no bags. Okay, well tell them that, it still doesn't make it fair to cut in front of us. Needless to say we didn't let them cut in front of us, they cut in front of some people behind us. Just unbelievable the manners people have these days.

Oh how funny. Not in a good way funny.... I totally forgot but a lady cut across the ropes when we were in the buzz line, too!

Oh see, this is when I would have made sure to tell the CM at the front of the line...while loading. I would have loudly said "I just wanted to let you know that THOSE PEOPLE cut in the Fast Pass line, they did NOT have passes but followed us through anyway. Just thought you should know." LOL That kind of thing just irks me. Why can't they wait their turns just like everyone else.

And to those kids who tried to cut through the bag check line, we rarely have bags but we always wait in line......I would have spoken up about that too.

the bag thing must be something new cuz the last time we were up there, while waiting in that huge line in the morning, which btw really sucked extra cuz DL opened at 10 and DCA at 1030 that day, I heard several people say "oh just walk up to the front, you have no bag". I guess they don't understand the snowball effect. . . . GRRRRR. . .

It does stink, and honestly it might be a good idea to have a line for people with no bags. Have a CM standing there to make sure they have no bags, and wave them through. That would be nice, because there have been times where I haven't had bags either.

But I'd never just walk up to the front of ANY line and try to squeeze in front like that. Especially when there was like 5 of them. We would have all had to step back and make room (which wasn't easy because we had a wheel chair too) to let them in since the line was "bumper to bumper" with people. So I do understand what they are saying, but man, can you imagine if everyone with no bags just all rushed up to the front? That would be a mad house!

Sometimes you just have to let go. Yes, its bad and not nice but what CAN you do anyways?

I always think, whenever one does something good, then good things will come... whenever on does bad things, bad things will come... so then i think hahaha, something bad is gonna happen to you!!! muaahahaha...

then i feel better :P

but from a CM prospective, would you rather the CM argue on holding the line, or just let that ONE single person go by. It happens because i have had that happen to me...

happy thoughts, happy thoughts!

The no-bag idea *sounds* good, but then you realize you have to have a CM or two manning the area for those with "no bags" to go through, to make sure they truly have NO bags, and then you realize that it would have to be a narrow area to go through, so it isn't a free for all of people who say they have no bags...and then you realize you've just described Yet Another Line!

And of course no one would READ the sign stating "for those without bags", or you'd get people saying "well my PURSE isn't a bag, well my diaper TOTE isn't a bag, well my backpack isn't a 'bag'", and so on and so forth (it's either NO reading or selective reading, isn't it?), and soon that line would be almost as backed up as the other lines. :headache:

Albort, I hear what you're saying, about should the CM argue or let just that one guest through. And in my "the world should be just" mind, I want the CM to hold it all up to make sure the right thing is done. But in my "oh get on with it" mind, I remember being held up for absolute ages, last year in the FP return line for holiday HM. Stand by people were zooming by, as the CM was involved in some long and involved conversation with the people in front of us, who, unfortunately, were talking so quietly we couldnt' even be paid back for our time by eavesdropping.

Of course, there's a middle ground, where that CM could have made eye contact and either apologized with his facial expression, or even let us by, while dealing with that group. And maybe an obviously no-bagged person could be let by in the "no bag" line, while CMs are dealing with bagged people.

OK I'm making myself giggle now so I'll shush.

And by the way, that FP line cutting would have made me insane. I would be thinking about it for ages, especially if I said nothing about it. So I really empathize with you, OP, for having had that experience.

I experienced people trying to cut in line a few times on my last trip. The first was waiting in line for the Monorail (check my TR. ) The second was in ToT, were some guy thought he could just sneak past DSS, DH and I with his friends, like we wouldnt notice.:sad2: Yeah, I dont think so. If the FPs were working for ToT I was going to say "You want to cut in line get a stinkin FP!" The last time the family was "trying" to exit the meet Mickey line. They sent the young girl to pass people, while the rest were catching up to her. The guy in front of me said "I thought they were meeting up with someone." The mother over heard him and yipped "We are trying to exit." Well, had you paid attention to the HUGE sign in the last room that reads "Exit to Toontown" you would be out by now. Sorry if this is snippy, I just have never had these experiences in all of the Disney trips Ive been on. I felt bad for the Cms having to deal with these people. I would not be able to handle those situations with such care.

This is true too. It's a good idea in theory I suppose. Guess people are just going to have to learn to wait their turn! *doubt that will happen but one can wish*

My DBF and I were wait to go into DCA. well a lady in and ECV decided that she and her son did not need to wait in the line (30 people deep)and went strait to the stroller/wheelchair entrance.. Well we did say something out loud.. She turned red and gave us the bird..

when we got up there we told ther CM that they were supposed to be 10 people behind us.. And that if I did that with a stroller everyone would be mad at me..

I put line cutters in their place. especailly the ones that 'claim' they don't know how to read english. What ever.....

FYI- WDW had a security line in '03 that was for no bags. it was seperated by a fence and you could clearly see that it was the no bag entrance. So we would send one person through with all the bags and someone else would take the kids and do the no bag entrance..

At Disney World they have an entrance for people with no bags and I've never seen it get backed up into a line. I guess because people with no bags are usually traveling with people with bags. When I go with DH who is carrying the camera bag I will stand in the bag check line with him even though I don't have a bag.

Well, my cutting story is not about line rides..we were at DL in september and we got very lucky and got "dreamed"...my kids were ahead of my dh and i, and a cm walked up to my kids and started to hand them dream fastpasses...well, some lady (who i have in pictures :lmao: ) rudely cut in with my kids and put her hand out...she then proceeded to tell her family to hurry up, get over here, before they run out....well, of course they ran out, it was my dh who didnt have one, so the cm told me she would be back in a few minutes...when she came back, she basically snuck up to me and quietly handed us the fastpass, i guess she didnt want any more people to jump her...i didnt get to experience how rude the lady was, but i still hear about it from my kids who just couldnt believe her and how she acted...anyways, lucky us, we actually got dreamed and i got to teach my kids how NOT to behave....have a great day
