It all depends on what kind of outfit it is. I'm really cheap, so I get my material on sale or clearance, so they don't cost too much. Lydia's Giselle dress (one of my all time favorites) was pretty cheap, around $15 (maybe less actually). A really full princess dress will take about 4 +/- yards of fabric. Then, there are trims and ribbons, buttons, zippers that can add to the cost. For me, it's usually cheaper to sew an outfit than to buy it, but that's not always the case! Come on over to the Disboutique thread! (we are on the family board)

Finally checking back in...took me a little bit to catch up but the amazing outfits made the time fly by! GREAT WORK EVERYONE!! I already put my package in the mail to Beth but it's not clothes (that's the only hint for you!!) since I have no talent in the sewing arena (probably not in any other-but I'd like to think I do!).

I must say that I love your pictures....care to post some info in regards to that??? I'm an aspiring photographer and love to learn more about that kind of thing. You can always PM me if you'd like instead of posting it here.

I'm so darn excited for you guys!! We'll miss each other by only a little bit which is such a bummer! It would have been great to try and meet up or something to give your little princess and her friends a special surprise.

Did I ever tell you guys how Matt reminds me of Donald? Funny and happy, but easily thrown into a tantrum! LOL!

So he was up and took photos of both of us, but you'll have to excuse me, I am in gym clothes and don't have make- up on! Scary I know!

I am a wedding and portrait photographer and I can put a few hopefully helpfull tips out there. When photographing little kids get down on THEIR level, - dont photograph them from above.
My best tip is...everytime u go to take a pix...take one GIANT step closer to your subject, you rarely need all the background stuff in your pix- and most people consistantly have way too much background in their pix.

As far as photography goes, I agree with what MousekaMaddi said....get closer and get on same level as child. One thing I would add to is try and focus on the EYES!!!

Isn't he the cutest? I adore each peice and, honestly, I can feel warmth from each one as Isabelle pulls them free from the packages. All that love just swirls around us! I feel it in the warming of my soul and giddiness of my heart!!

Alicia, I am so happy to see you planning another trip and talking it about the plans on the boards.

DH and I were at the PC the same time as you last year and although we did not get formally introduced, I remember seeing you and your lovely family around.

Your strength through your sorrow has been an inspiration to many people who you do not know but who follow your story. You have helped so many! I know that nothing will ever make up for the loss of your sweet Levi but your grief and recovery to as "normal" a life as you are ever going to have with him not in your arms, is truly admired by many.

We too have lost a young son. The circumstances of our loss are very different than yours but the feelings of empty arms, grief and sorrow for the future are shared with us.

Thank you again for being so open and sharing of yourself!
