A bit of magic on our last visit to DLR

Another thread that mentioned Billy Hill and the Hillbillies reminded me of this and made me smile! Last October we were in DLR for DS's 6th birthday. We went to MHP on Friday night and had a blast! It was a bit wet and crowded on Saturday but that didn't deter us. DH is a cellist and when we saw Billy Hill and the Hillbillies start playing he stopped in his tracks and we stayed to listen. He wanted to talk to them after their set and they got into a long conversation about music and eventually Billy noticed that the tire on my stroller had gone flat. I hadn't even realized it, so I was grateful he pointed it out. He then offered to get his bike pump from his CM locker and fix it for us. He walked with us around the corner and took the wheel and disappeared for about 10 minutes (probably most of his break!) and brought it back filled with air. It was one of those kind acts that completely made my day and makes me excited to go back to Disneyland again soon! He really didn't have to take so much time out of his day to help us, but we were so appreciative.

We recently had to cancel a long planned trip to WDW because of some complications with my current pregnancy and I'm back to planning our next DLR trip!

So nice to hear those good, good things while at Disney. :goodvibes
Hope you will be feeling better soon! Wishing you a healthy, happy pregnancy! :lovestruc

How wonderful!!! Please consider "reporting" these magical moments at City Hall. Great experiences like these often go unrecognized and the cast members really are lovely.

That is a very nice story, I agree. It was very kind of him to assist the way he had. And it could be that he had but a 10 minute break. There are people that give and are selfless. Then there are those that are the complete opposite, not even so much as give you the time of day, unless there is something in it for them. It is good to learn of a new story that shows the former of the two behaviors.

Oh wow, thanks for sharing! That is an awesome story. Love Billy Hill and the Hillbillies...they made my birthday a very special one a few years ago just by picking me out in the audience to be the "flirt girl." Your story is so much cooler!! :lovestruc
