Hey y’all. :) This is our family’s 2nd trip to WDW, but my first time posting a trip report. Thanks to anyone who reads it.

The trip consisted of:

Me—Chris, 37 years old and still a big lover of amusement parks and shows and stuff. I’m a BIG Hello Kitty fan and an even bigger James Bond fanatic. :happytv:

Dd—Sarah, 7 years old. My pride and joy. This trip was for her birthday (and ok, for us too) princess: .

Dh—Rollins, soon to be 39 years old next weekend. My other child. :rotfl2: He seriously is a kid at heart with our daughter.

I always joke around with everyone that we are the Griswalds reincarnated. On our drive to WDW in 2004 ( and back home, I might add), we had to turn around at least 2 dozen times. (Look kids! Big Ben! Parliament!). Turnarounds made this trip?? ONLY FOUR!!! :lmao: That’s an improvement, don’t you think?? :lmao: This time I used MapQuest for our directions. Well, when I put in the destination, I goofed and put WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT. :rolleyes1 Well, the directions took us the freaking WDW Headquarters rather than our hotel. What a mess. So, we drive around a bit more and TADA! there’s the road to our hotel. We stayed at All Star Movies from 6/2-6/8/07 and had the absolute best time there.

We got to the hotel (after a few misleading turns :rotfl2: ) around 4:00 pm that Saturday. Check in line was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long, but once we got checked in, we drove around to where our building was and found our room. We were in the Mighty Ducks building #3. Furthest from the food court and other stuff, but VERY close to the All Star Music bus stop and food court, etc., so we used their bus stop most of the time. Regardless of the distance, we used our food court though. Just liked the way it was set up better than All Star Music's. Once we got settled in our room, we had to make a Wal-Mart run since Rollins forgot his tennis shoes by the front door. Idiot  . Turns out the cheapo shoes we bought at Wal-Mart were more comfortable than the expensive ones left at home. Figures! Once that was done, we just hung out at the pool some and ate dinner in the food court and broke in that dining plan and rested up for the next day.

The housekeeper we had was named Yolanda, and she treated us like gold! She always arranged Sarah’s stuff in the window and on the beds in cute ways and left us sweet notes. Always left us extra towels and soaps without asking. We left her a pretty good tip for such good care. We really liked ASMo and if money doesn’t allow us to stay at Wilderness Lodge in 3 years when we go back, we will do ASMo again. We were in Room 3861, on the second floor. Room was super quiet with the exception of one night when the people next door let their child SCREAM up to about Midnight. Not just a tired child cry, but downright screaming. OMG, that just about made us crazy.

I'm sure y'all have seen this before, dozens and dozens of times, but we were just tickled to see it upon our entrance to our room.

By the time we ate that night, it was almost 8:00 and we had not eaten since we checked out in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, at 9:00 that morning. Man, were we some grouchy @&* people then! I feel sorry for the cashier that got us that night in the food court because we all had tempers as long as our baby toenail. :furious: Once we got food in us and rested, we were just fine.

Ok, this was our first park day. We got up early and caught the bus and made it there for rope drop. Got to see the pre-park opening show that they do at the Railroad station above the entrance, along with at least 250 other people. :cool2: We go on over to Liberty Square where the Haunted Mansion is located. That's our first ride of the day. It spooked Sarah out a little bit, but we just kept explaining to her it was just cameras and mirrors and kept reminding her how she saw the behind the scenes stuff on the travel channel a few weeks ago, so she knew the dog howling was fake, but it still spooked her some. She braved it through and came out saying it wasn’t so bad after all, but she didn’t want to do it again. :rotfl:

Outside of The Haunted Mansion--another one y'all have seen, but I still think it's neat.

After that ride, we wandered through Liberty Square a bit, and came across these old prisoner clamp thingies (like my technical terminology?? :lmao: ) These were fun.

By now it was close to our reservation time at The Crystal Palace for breakfast Yummo! So we headed on over there and checked in. Got seated within 5 minutes! Woohoo! :thumbsup2 Thank goodness for advanced reservations that I made in JANUARY. I watched NUMEROUS people with no adr's get turned away because they were so booked. This was a common theme at the sit down places :guilty: Sarah got autographs and pictures with the pooh characters, but wasn't as enthusiastic with them as the rest of the characters on the trip. Guess she's outgrown the Pooh stuff pretty much.

Sarah & Piglet--her favorite strictly because he's pink, her favorite color :rotfl2:

After breakfast was over, we headed to Adventureland which was just next door. First thing we did was the Swiss Family Treehouse, modeled after the movie Swiss Family Robinson. I'm gonna have to rent that movie to refresh my memory :confused3 Then we went on the Jungle Cruise. This was cute. The boat operator was hilarious and saw Sarah's birthday button and let her be the skipper. The boat is on a track under the water, so it can't go off course, but Sarah really thought she was steering it. This was her when she saw the giant snake hanging from the tree  . He was pretty dang funny though, told some slightly cheesy jokes, but we liked him. I think his name was Aaron, but I'm not totally sure. I've slept since then. :rotfl:

Then it's on to the Pirate Tutorial. This was so freaking funny. Sarah didn't get picked to be one of the little pirates, but it was still so funny. My pictures are not even ¼ as good as most I’ve seen on here, but they didn’t come out too terrible, so here’s one.

Once this was done we hopped over to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This was kinda neat. That's another movie I've never seen :scratchin After that we hit Aladdin's Carpet Ride then went over to Frontierland. They just happened to be doing Woody's Roundup, so she got in on that one. I couldn't get any good pictures because of all the yahoos jumping in front of me though.

From there we wandered into Fantasy Land and got on the Mad Tea Party. We had just begun spinning and all of the sudden these people are screaming "STOP STOP STOP!!!! " We turned around and there's this ONE YEAR OLD BABY running on the outer ring!!!! The mother wasn't paying attention I guess and he slipped through the bars that surround the ride. This other guy jumped over the rail and ran and snatched the baby up and took him to his mother. She was freaking out and so was everyone else. Geesh. Finally, the ride got started up and boy, did I get dizzy.

Just look at my red face, that'll tell you how freaking hot it was there.

Whew, just push me off in some water already. My deoderant was working in overtime that week. :rotfl2:

From here we wandered over to the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway. This was funny. The cars are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow. My dh’s 80-something granny could move faster than these things. I rode by myself and Rollins and Sarah rode together, trying to catch up with me. Heck, a snail could have passed us. After that, we hit Buzz Lightyear's SpaceRanger spin. That was funny. At this point, it was almost 3:00 and we had been there since 8:00 that morning. We were whooped and had our fill of Magic Kingdom for the day, so we hopped on the WDW Railroad in ToonTown and rode to the front, dropped off the stroller and headed back to the hotel.

One tired girl
