A BIG Thumbs up to Delta

We're flying round trip from Boston to Ft Myers in February. Originally, our flight home was scheduled on a Thursday night at 7pm. Delta changed our flight time to 3pm. I spoke to them, explained that that change would not work for us, and could we possibly move to the Friday flight? They were happy to do so, made the changes, and updated my itinerary. This happened probably 3-4 weeks ago.

I just had a call from a Delta rep who was calling to check that we knew about the move, since we were originally scheduled on Thursday, and are now on Friday, and there were no notes in my account, and no record of an email being sent with the updated itinerary. They were literally calling to make sure I knew about the change.

So often, we see posts here, that say "I will NEVER fly xxxx airline ever again", well, I think it's just as important that we acknowledge the good stuff.

Are the multiple changes to flight times a little annoying, well, yes. But, I got a TERRIFIC deal on the flights, on non-stop flights which are key coming out of the Northeast in February. The fact that they just called me to confirm, just tickled me. And I know that the flights may change a couple more times, but I also know to keep checking.....

I had 3 flight changes for my trip next Saturday. Each time I called and they moved us to a better time. We originally were flying PIT-JFK-MCO, leaving around 11:00, arriving 4:30. Now we have PIT-ATL-MCO, leaving 8:00am, arriving 12:30pm! Those flights were more expensive than the original but we got moved for free. So now we will hopefully (cross your fingers) get there in time for lunch!

I called UA last night (something I RARELY do) and the agent wanted my 'local' mobile so I gave her my German number. She wanted it so that I can receive all updates. As some of you know, MrEasyUpdate misses me and likes to call me with random flight change messages. Now he can find me whereever I am, in any corner of the world, because he has all three of my mobile numbers!

(Translation: Deb, isn't flying in the parallel universe great? No stress, no drama. Mr EasyUpdate ALWAYS calls me even if my flight is delayed by less than 5 minutes.)

Most of my experiences with Delta have been excellent. I almost always book the lowest price tickets with layovers and everytime they change the schedule I call and get nonstop flights. Delta is my airline of choice!
