A Belated PTR: Mom & Daughter Take On WDW, again UPDATE 9.22: LIVE FROM WDW!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!

I just realized that I still needed to ADD DME to our reservation!!! For whatever reason it wasn't added when we booked through bounceback and I just put it off for so long... what an idiot am I??? And the extremely stupid part is that I had almost a year now to do it.

:sad2: I NEED to call first thing tomorrow and add it. I kept reading about people getting their papers for DME who are arrive the days before and after we do so I got curious... then I looked on the WDW, the details of our reservation... D'OH! How CRAZY is that?

Next: Scrapbooking and a NEW RULE!!!

You will be fine. Just call and add it, you still have time. I almost forgot to add it on this past trip haha! I added it on like a month before, and I got them on time.

Hey! At least you figured it out now and not 3 weeks from now (whew!)

As Lynn said...it should all still work out fine.

Haha, That's something i would do. I honestly would have forgotten except when I called to make my final payment the CM asked me about DME and I was like OMG! :)

First, NO FREAKING OUT! :rotfl2: I'm sure you were able to add ME easily :goodvibes

Your final plans look fantastic! Very busy days, but all looks fun! Oh, and if you're nuts for booking the TH breakfast, so are we! :lmao: Wow, what a lovely long trip!

I'm glad all is done and booked - now, just to worry about packing!

You have plenty of time to receive your tags so I am sure you won't run into any problems. :goodvibes
Your days all look well planned out and you have excellent restaurant choices!:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I added it and it was very easy, David the very nice CM said I should get the tags sometime next week. I'll feel a million times better when I actually have them but

Good to know I'm not the only one then. Thanks Lynn :)

Seriously if was in 3 weeks from now, I would have REALLY freaked out :scared1:. That wasn't fun, lol. I still need to do it for my other trips, ew.

Then you would have been in that same boat as me with a freak out moment :)

Thanks Lisa!

Yes, I was able to add it easily and the guy I talked to was very nice! :woohoo: for 8AM TH but I'm crazy because we'll have been at AK during the night until midnight or so... but at least we're staying at AKL then, making it a shorter transport time..... right.... does that make it ok....

Thank you so much manntra :goodvibes

Scrapbooking and a NEW RULE!!!

New Rule: I MUST write an update everyday. I'm getting closer to my trip so I'm beginning to be more and more in the Disney mode... this is not a good thing to pretty much anyone around me, except my mom, Julie and the DIS. But I believe that updating every day will get all my Disneys out of me for real life.

So......

Newest installment:

Scrapbooking!

I am a semi-newcomer to the world of scrapbooking. I started last winter when I had tons of pictures from our crazy snow storms but this will be my first time scrapbooking a Disney trip. Lots of scrapbooking... at least one 2-page spread of each restaurant.

I've been going around to craft stores collecting stuff for pages and mostly getting papers for pages of things I already know I am going to scrapbook.

I thought I'd take some pictures of some of the papers I have an idea of what it's going to...

I'm really glad I got into scrapbooking because it's really fun and it's great for memories!

Also, one last thing... I wanted to thank everyone who reads this... making me feel like the :laundy: work is worth it :) :goodvibes

Anyone Ask for This PTR's Cast Pictures?

First, I keep putting off my itinerary since I am having difficulty deciding on a couple of things. Maybe you all can help me out. Basically, I'm needing to be convinced on whether I should do a water park on my first day or not... and which one?

Second, I totally forgot I had a couple of pictures on my flickr of myself and my mom so I'm going to post them now. I'm going to get some more here soon :)

Well, there you have it folks that's a mug shot right there. Luckily, I've never had to pose for a REAL mug shot :thumbsup2
Some more stuff about me:
-I'm on Team Edward! I'm not obsessed and I haven't even read the books but holy moly- you have to admit, Robert Pattinson is a major hottie!
-I play tennis all the time! I have a membership to a local raquet club that oddly enough has WiFi, sometimes I post from there since my laptop goes everywhere with me. I wish I knew someone to play some tennis with at WDW.
-Favorite color: Purple
-Favorite song of all-time: "Paint it Black" The Rolling Stones
-Favorite movie: Jurassic Park

That's my mommy at DHS under the rainy umbrella. Does that thing have an official name?
Random about her:
-She gets REALLY grumpy in the heat :headache:
-Not a sporty girl this one... I must get it from my dad.
-Favorite show: Dexter
-Favorite Disney character: Mickey, the Mortimer version

I thought I'd also add some other pictures.

This one is a 9" blank Vinylmation that I plan on using as an autograph book.

Some close ups:

We got dreamed big time. The lanyards came in the mail through some postcard thing my mom did, the hat and MGM Dream FP was given out during our 2007 trip and the MK Dream FP during our 2008 trip.

This is how I display my FPs... I also got the park icon salt and pepper shakers on the bottom row and a sake cup with my name in Japanese written on it to the bottom right of the picture.

Next: Finally, a More Finalized Itinerary

That is a very cool corner! :cool2: I would not be able to save those disney dollars though! What is Vinylmation? They are very cute.

Whew I'm caught up now & subscribed. BTW I LUV Amazing Race n a fan of Plus 8 also. I am overly addicted to Big Brother right now too! Ok time for bed!
C ya!

180 Days for ADRs!!!... Oh no, my heart just sank.

As you can imagine, like my fellow Obsessive Disney Planners, the news about ADRs switching back to 180 days is a thrill!!!!!!!

I was doing the happy dance all night after I heard this.

So then I began to wonder... when are my ADR dates for my January and April trips?

Back in the 90-day mark I knew that for my April trip, I was going to have to book ADRs during my January trip :headache: but it's not a big deal. I have trouble waking up early on any vacation to the east coast usually so it would force me to be awake at 6AM. And, I knew for January it would be sometime in October but I never really cared about when.

So NOW... knowing that I have to book ADRs for both vacations in October, I knew that I'd have to kick up the planning a little bit more. Then I thought... WHEN is the 90-day mark for our January trip? Hm... October 18... :scared1::scared1::scared1: I'm supposed to be running in the SF Nike women's half marathon that day!!!!! I think it starts at 6AM... why oh why do I do it to myself? It's not particularly a day that I want to be waking up at 3AM... or 4AM for that matter.

I'm a little bummed about it... I guess that's what coffee is for though and something tells me I'll have no problem finding a Starbucks around Union Square in SF :rotfl:

Next: No, I didn't die... BIG MILESTONE AND BIG UPDATE!

That is a very cool corner! :cool2: I would not be able to save those disney dollars though! What is Vinylmation? They are very cute.

First of all, :welcome:

It's actually become very easy to save the Disney Dollars, the older ones I don't want to spend because I know I can't exchange for them anymore and the currents ones are only $18 worth so it's not too big of a deal... I know I'd be mad in 20 years if I actually use them.

Vinylmation... do you know of kidrobot at all? I didn't until I just happened to stumble upon it in NYC in 2008 at the kidrobot store then later on in FAO Schwartz. They are various series of little toys that are in collections of a given size. To then serious collector, the point is to get them all! To most, you just buy a couple. There's a catch though... you don't know which one you are getting. You know what series or collection you are buying into but it can be any one...

Disney now has something like this and it's called Vinylmation. So far there have been 7 series released... you can go to vinylnation.net, an unofficial site on basically anything you need to know about Vinylmation.

They are really cute, I'm in no way a crazy collector of those, I'm not at the parks that often and I could only imagine spending all that money on those :sad2: but there are a few that I like, especially the monorail and Haunted Mansion ones. The monorail red is out and I want it but since it's from the first series it's hard to come by and it's relatively expensive. I guess monorail blue is next followed by green...

:woohoo: I was so glad Tammy & Victor won... I hated Margie & Luke.

love all the scrapbooking paper! they're perfect!

Thanks Jenn!

We are in the same place on 9/19 (DHS) and 9/20 (MK EMH)!

I will be going to ToT and RnR first, then hit some shows for the kiddos. Not sure if we want to get park hoppers yet or not???

There is a Jellyrolls DISmeet at 9m on 9/18. I think hubby and I might go to that.

Hey.. I decided to pop over to your PTR from my TR.:flower3: I just needed to say I love almond crusted cheesecake as well..I love your wall of Disney and we've seen those vinylmation all over the place now.

I love that your staying at POP (my fav.) and AKL (which we hope to try August 2010) You are soo lucky.

Your itinerary looks great, I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING.. I already have some of those sheets you posted but i love the CRT or Akershus ones where did you find them?

Is it true they went back to 180 days for ADR's?

:woohoo: I'll definitely keep an eye out for you... both days. I'm pretty certain I'm going to go to MK EMH if not for a little bit. Although we have to be up early the next morning we'll have a car so I'm definitely going to be getting some Starbucks... which reminds me, Orlando isn't home and I'm sure there's not a Starbucks there every 1/4 mile like there is here in Hillsboro... I should probably get some addresses.

As for DHS, I'm definitely going to be running to TSM first. Then ToT and RnR so we might definitely run into each other around there... or even while waiting for the park to open. Are you planning on going on TSM, it's one of my favorite rides!!! We're even planning on getting TSM the game for the Wii on Sept 15, we'll have a couple days to play that before we get to play the real thing

You know... I can't not have park hoppers especially during the final days of our trip as we usually have things we want to do at multiple parks. But, you can't also go to WDW not having the hopper option then just add them when you get there if you feel like you want to hop... you can add them at any point in your trip, you know... as long as they haven't expired yet.

I have seen that Sept 18 Dis meet... I haven't decided if I should go, especially since it's our arrival night. There is also a mini one on Sept 19 at CSR that I do plan on going to.

Welcome Raecheal!!! OMG I love the almond crusted cheesecake... my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I'm glad you have seent the Vinylmation everywhere, I think they're way cute and I love the mystery of it. From what I have heard, I'm going to be there when the release the Holiday #1 series- I'm hoping to get the 4th of July one and ghost.

I love Pop!!! I'm curious to see how we'll like AKL and WL. I have this feeling like I'm going to fall in love with WL...

Those CRT/Akershus sheets are actually from a pack... those DCWV Premium Stacks... the purple sheet is from the one called "The Rustic Stack" and the hair one is from "Once Upon a Time" I've been sewing some gold thread into them to attach them to each other.

Ahhhh you must be running in a Niketown Marathon. I love that store, my son esp. loves it in there! When we have gone in there and people are meeting for running groups its pretty interesting.

Yep, I love it also  I have to supprt my local company so I'm strictly a Nike gal. Everytime I go to the one in SF it's empty :confused3 but I also usually go there on weekdays so that may have something to do with it. But when ever I have gone to the one in NYC, I seem to go when they're releasing a new Jordan shoe :scared1: those wacky shoe guys... they'll line up the night before to be the first one to get those shoes.

Speaking of which, I'm going to the Nike world campus on Wednesday for a thing... maybe I'll snap some pictures, the campus is gorgeous!

Thank you for the welcome! I think I am going to buy a couple of those vinylmation Mickeys!

You're welcome :)

I'm going to be buying some also, just 2 or 3...

OMG, EXACTLY!!! I totally liked them in the beginning but WOW I seriously wanted to strangle both of them in the end. Keisha and Jen... they were my 2nd favorite... actually the team I really wanted to win was Jamie and Cara... I actually liked them.

But essentially I didn't care who won as long as it wasn't Margie and Luke.
