Anyone ever rent a stroller or any baby equipment from A Baby's Best Friend. I'm thinking of renting a stroller for our trip to WDW from them so I won't have to bring ours. Wondering what the condition of the stroller was and how clean it was. TIA

I would also be interested in this information. I have a small umbrella stroller that I normally take on the plane--it was $20 and if they damage it then I won't be so upset. BUT my good stroller waw $200 and I am afraid of gate checking it as I have seen the way they treat strollers. I would rent one if I could...anyone have any info???

Thanks! :earsgirl:

The website is www.abbf.com and it looks like it would be great! I have heard of them from another thread where concierge booked a family a stroller so they didn't have to bring theirs. It seems reasonable around $75 for a week - they drop off at your resort and pick it up when you're done.

I think we'll probably do it anyway but I was interested in any reviews.

We didn't rent a stroller, but we did rent a crib from them in 2003. It was wonderful. When we got to our timeshare, it was already set up in our room. Full size crib with a clean, thick mattress and the cutest bedding-Mickey of course! We had to take it down, but it was very simple to do and they came and picked it up. I would definetly work with them again and plan on doing so for our november trip. i am going to rent a stroller, crib rails and a white noise fan.

We rented a side by side double in May "05 for our trip- apid 75$ for 8 days. The stroller was at our hotel waiting for us in the bell hop room (?) It was in great shape clean no tears or rips, good absket underneath plenty of room for camera bag and our backpack, both seats reclined individually and had a big canopy- wish it would have had cup holders for mom and dad but otherwise great- our girls were 4 and 23 months at the time both were very comfortable in the stroller the entire trip. When we were ready to return we put the stroller back in the bag it was delivered in with the BBF tag and gave it back to the bell hop for the company to pick up. EASY EASY EASY no problems for us at all!

We rented a toddler bed last September and had no problems what so ever. Very easy!

The best part of our vacations is not having to schlep all the baby stuff we need. A Baby's Best Friend (do a search fo ABBF or www.abbf.com for reviews. . .) is fabulous! Everything we have ever received from them is clean, clean, clean, not very old or used, and they are so easy to work with.

Their website says a lot for the service they offer. . . it is a really nice site! Lots of items offered and are constantly adding new things.

Best money spent on our vacations by far! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I am so glad that someone rented a toddler bed from them. How do you set it up? Also, was it clean? I am always afraid of dirty funky sheets. I am kind of a germ freak. I am really interested in this as it would be great to not have to haul a airbed down there.

I'm so glad to read all of the good reviews! We're going to rent a double jogging stroller from them for our trip in May 2007 -- as well as a box fan (maybe two?!) for white noise purposes in our room. . . I'm so happy the service exists!

The toddler bed is delivered already assembled. It is lightweight but very sturdy, and just the ticket for that extra bed for your little one.

You can read all the glowing testimonials on their homepage, and also take it from me: Everything we have ever used from A Baby's Best Friend has been clean beyond belief. I am also a stickler for cleanliness, and to find a service of this caliber is uncommon. It is no wonder they are so highly recommended.

The bedding is always fresh smelling and very clean, shrink-wrapped and waiting for your little one to use. We have used them on numerous occasions and each time have been amazed at the detail that is taken to ensure we are taken care of. That is the norm with ABBF.

You can't go wrong using their service!

It came all in one piece. It was a hard white plastic one, just like it shows on the website. The mattress was wrapped in plastic along with the sheets. There was nothing to put together. It was clean. It wasn't new, it did have a few nicks, but nothing major at all. The sheets were clean and folded. They smelled nice and didn't have any stains. I didn't think twice about using them.

It was waiting for us at bell services. After we got checked in, I went over and asked them if it had been delivered. Unfortunately the CM who was bringing it over was not helpful at all. He made it absolutely clear that he was not happy about doing it and it was not something he did on a regular basis. He went on and on about how he was supposed to get it to the room.

I called bell services a couple of hours before we checked out to have someone come get it. This time we got a very, very nice CM and his tip reflected it!!

It was all very easy!

Just was it somewhat easy to load onto the disney buses? Can you guess at how much it weighed? Thanks.

Wow thanks so much for the info! I went ahead and reserved a toddler bed and a dining booster as well for our time there. It is so nice to have have to worry about getting that stuff down there!

Just reserved a full size crib (my daughter will not sleep in a pack n'play - I don't blame her they look so uncomfortable) and a double side by side stroller for DD 4 and DD 2. As always fellow dissers thanks for the reviews!

I had a great experience with them in February of 2005. One of the legs on our Combi double snapped - the stroller was unusable. I remembered hearing good things about ABBF from this web site, called infomation & got their number. They delivered a rental double stroller (SBS, I think it was a graco) to me within two hours. It was great, convienent, not expensive (around $70/week - if my memory serves me). They even picked it up from me on my departure day. I would use them again.

We have used them (ABBF) many many times. The cribs are beautiful and the crib sheets , bumpers and comforter are Disney themed and are in great shape. We also rented toys from them. They were also Disney themed and were so clean. We have rented VCR's, Swings and Exersaucer from them also. Everything we have rented was in GREAT condition. We rented from them right (the day after) the BIG hurricane and we figured our stuff woul dnot be waiting for us because the electric was out, some of the roads were closed etc....it was there. We also got a phone call from the owners just letting us know that the equipment WAS there in case we didnt check for it. We have a speical needs child and we need to rent alot of baby stuff we alwyas use ABBF. The one time we didnt use them to rent a crib we used the crib from the hotel (DOLPHIN). The crib was horrible it sagged and the sheets were all "Pilled" YUCK. We also used crib rails from the hotel and a pack and play and will never do it again. The pack and Play had mold on it. (when you check out you leave it and we have seen quite a few sitting out by the laundry carts in the rain) The bed rails were stained with some unknown "RED GOO" we will never use the hotels equipment. It is not worth the headache. I am listed on their site (www.abbf.com) under "Raving Fans" I am the one who was there for Hurricane Charley.

D,L and K's Mom, did you have to set up the crib yourself? If so, how hard was it? At only a $1 more per day than renting a PNP with Disney, we're seriously considering getting one delivered!

We used ABBF in February 2004 and rented an exersaucer, bouncy seat, and bed rail. All super clean and in excellent condition.

We again used them in March 2006 for a toddler bed and a bed rail. The toddler bed was very clean and came completely assembled. The only hard part for my little one was that she was used to a bedrail on her toddler bed at home, as ours doesn't have the plastic halfway down the side. A bedrail wouldn't work on that kind. Everynight without fail we woke up to find her "bottom half" of her body sitting on the floor with her upper half still in the bed. Finally we pushed chairs up against it to block her and it was fine :) This year we won't need a toddler bed as she is in a 'big girl' bed now. Although we still may need some bedrails and the condo we are renting doesn't have any.

I highly recommend them!
