I will be calling tomorrow to get either a 2br or 2 studios for our upcoming trip! It will be me, DW, DS2, DS11months, and MIL. We get along very well with MIL and have no problems sharing a room. I was thinking of getting a 2br, but want to know thoughts on 2 studios. If FIL was going I would get them there own room, but since she is on her own, I thought she might like our company!

Once you stay in your 2br, you will not want to go back to a studio. The full kitchen is well worth it. Also, the 2br does have more square footage as well.

I would opt for the 2 bedroom. There is no guarantee that they could get the 2 studios next or near each other. A 2 bedroom will give you much more family time.

I would go with a two bedroom too! Suppose she wanted to babysit one night, she would be able to go into her own room to sleep while you enjoyed the night out.

Besides, the 2 bedroom is so much nicer than a studio. We often do use studios, but just when it's the two of us. If I know there's going to be 3 adults, I like to book a 1 bedroom, so we can enjoy the full kitchen, just a nicer place for us all to be together.

I would also vote for the 2BR. In addition to the other reasons mentioned, you would have the washer and dryer.

I'm going to add my vote for the 2 BR. I didn't see you mention which resort. AKV has 3 bathrooms in 2 BR units. Can't beat that!

It's unanimous so far! I also vote for the 2 BR :goodvibes

You get the living room, which is great for hanging out in and then the bedrooms for privacy. In a studio, there really is nowhere to get privacy or to relax, especially once you put your little ones to bed. In the 2BR, you can put them to bed and still be able to hang out in the living room :happytv:

You get the full kitchen with a dishwasher (which, I know for me will be huge once we have our baby. It'll be great to throw bottles, nipples and pacifiers in the dishwasher) :coffee:

You get a washer/dryer in the unit (with kids - need I say more? lol).

You get a jacuzzi - nuf said

If you really want to be able to separate from MIL (and FIL if he comes) request a 2BR lockoff. That way at the end of the day, you can treat the studio portion completely as a separate unit from the 1 BR portion of the villa.

Have a great vacation.

:thumbsup2 That would be my suggestion as well, a lockoff is a one bedroom with a connecting studio, so the studio has its own kitchette, that way MIL & FIL can make coffee in the mornnig without distrubing anyone else...and if they want some privacy, they can close the connecting door and still have an exterior entry without having to go through your unit.

A studio is a good hotel room and nothing more. The 2 br is a vacation home.

If all you want is a place to sleep the 2 studios would be more point economical, but if you spend any time in the room, or want to prepare meals, do wash of just lounge comfortably the 2br is great.

ITA with Chuck & MrsNick & Kat4Disney :thumbsup2 2 bedroom lockoff so MIL can

feel she's got her own space too.

Yet another vote for a 2 bedroom lock off. Since I assume you will have the kids in your room with you (you'll need to request a second pack N Play), she will feel like a queen in her own room and still have access to the kitchen/living area with the two of you when the kiddies are in bed early.

I would also request a 2 bdrm lockoff.........if she/or you wants a bit of privacy you simply close the connecting door between and you still have all the amenities of the 2 bdrm, plus MIL will also have a small frig/micro/sink/coffeemaker in the studio portion.......with 2 little ones the washer/dryer and full kitchen is practically a necessity IMO.

My vote is with everyone else! Definitely the 2 br. It has so much more room and I think that it is more comfortable. The full kitchen is great, especially with two small children.
