~ A 21 month old, a celebrity sighting, & a whole lotta food~2 week trip~ 2/28 update

Hi Alison. Sorry I haven't commented on your last update. I have read it and thought I had but I've reread and cannot locate it. Love that pic of Dylan standing along the wall. I want to go give him a big hug. He did very well. As out going as all my grandchildren are they pretty much would stand back and watch a bit before just diving in. We had eaten at St. Angel Inn years ago and were not impressed. We have a really good place close to our house that is very reasonable so it is hard to compete. No, it is not Taco Bell.

Did Dylan trick or treat tonite? I had about 150 little ones. They were so cute. One little girl hollered "grandma" when I opened the door. She was such a sweetie. She did realize I wasn't her grandma but she gave me a big hug.

I'm sorry that the San Angel Inn wasn't that great. We hung out in Mexico for awhile to get out of the rain. It is very pretty inside and we enjoyed the boat ride as well. Can't wait to hear what you did the rest of the day!!

I remember the first time I ever visited Mexico when I was a teenager, and I thought it was SO COOL that they made the inside look like it was outside. It made a big impression on me, and I really look forward to going inside on all of our trips.

Yeah, I live in Oklahoma so we have lots of good Mexican food here. I have looked for good Mexican in Orlando and have not found it yet. Maybe someone that lives there can give us some help on where to find it!

I hope someone will read this and have a good suggestion!

Very Cool Video..loved it!!!:goodvibes

I loved it too. Glad you liked it.

I just LOVE this video. So glad you liked it too. :)

Me too! Thanks for letting me steal it. :goodvibes

That video is very cool!! It made me smile! :goodvibes

I am sure that I will watch it many times between now and my next trip to WDW. Soooo good, but such torture!

Hi Ginny! Dylan is really funny when it comes to playing with other kids. He does the same thing at the park, where he observes & then jumps in. He always ends up making new friends. :)

I don't think I have heard anyone give San Angel a great review. It's surprising that it has been consistently bad for so long. You would think they would do something to fix it. BTW - I love Taco Bell!

We did take Dylan trick or treating. We had some friends over and we all went in our neighborhood. Dylan was a Rocker this year. I am going to try to post some pictures of him tonight (if all goes well). How cute that the little girl hugged you. :goodvibes I bet her parents thought it was pretty funny. One year we opened the door and had a little girl charge right in the door and start petting our dogs. LOL she was around 1 year old and apparently she just really liked dogs!

The last couple of months have been so busy with life and I am finally getting around to posting some pictures of Dylan’s birthday. His birthday was in mid-September. The rest of these pictures are just “life” since his birthday.

We have also been taking Dylan to gymnastics a couple of days a month. It’s not a structured class, just an open gym. It allows him to play on the equipment for an hour and burn off energy. He has such a good time there.

We took Dylan to a pumpkin patch last weekend. They had a petting zoo, a maze made of bales of hay and a train ride. We went with our friends and their son (who is Dylan’s best friend).

Finally, last night was Halloween and Dylan was dressed up like a rock star. Todd was going for the “Billy Idol” look and I think it turned out so cute. We went trick or treating in our neighborhood and the boys caught on pretty quickly. Say something that resembled “trick or treat” and look really cute, then you get candy. Let’s just say that they were happy little guys.

I love this picture…at the end of the day, all you need is your best friend, some candy, and a toy to push each other on. LOL!

All in all, the last month has been wonderful but extremely busy. These are the reasons that my TR isn’t finished yet! Todd’s volleyball season ends after this week and then hopefully we start to get back to normal, whatever that is!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween weekend!

Awww great pictures! Dylan looks like such a happy boy! That was a great costume - love the "tatoo." It's amazing how fast the kids pick up the routine once there is candy involved!

Aww!! I love all of the pics!! And Dylan is such a CUTE rockstar!! LOVE the hair! :thumbsup2 I'm glad he had such a good time trick-or-treating! Claire was so funny--she insisted on going to each and every house (even when no one was home). Her pumpkin bucket was overflowing but she did NOT want any help carrying it--she had a death grip on it!! Sooo much fun!

Thanks for sharing those pics of Dylan. I put up a few of my little guy yesterday on my PTR!

HAHA, Dylan was the cutest rock star I've ever seen! :)

I was two installments behind again. I am right there with you on the whole "life's so busy it's hard to keep up with the Dis" thing.

I love the latest pictures. I think the Halloween ones are my favorite.

LOVVVVE the rock star costume -- he looks great! Very Billy Idol-ish. I may have to steal the idea for next year. ;)

Hey girl, if you ever had time and wanted to see some more pics of my little guy...head over to my '08 TR. I did a year in review..it starts on page 6!

Found your TR, love it and Dylan is such a cutie... I am also dying to find out who the celebrity sighting is... Anywho, ever since reading about the sunglasses search for Todd earlier in your TR, I wanted to tell you my husbands sunglasses story. We were at Busch Gardens Williamsburg 2 summers ago when he lost his much loved sunglasses on a roller coaster. We searched the park for the next 2 hrs looking for some, much like you two, that didnt have crazy stuff all over them or decorated in loud colors. Finally, he comes out of one store and tells me "i found some that will work for the rest of the day!" He was excited that he was finally able to find a solid black pair... He got them out of the package (never seen sunglasses packaged before) only to find out that one side of them said "NASCAR" in huge letters w/ fire all down the side. :rotfl2: oh well what was he going to do now... he had already opened the package... he was ill and said "screw it!" I then, of course, proceeded to ridicule him for the rest of the day about how cool he looked in his fire blazin' glasses. :lmao:

Why can't they just have a few solid, simple looking sunglasses for purchase at these parks... :confused3

kids + candy = picture at the end...:thumbsup2

Great pix! I like the "tatoo":thumbsup2 Nice touch.

Your equation is so true. Luckily we don't give them candy very often. ;)

The tatoo was fun. I thought it was fun to do his initials. There was another one on the back of his neck too, but I never got a picture of it.

Love the pictures!!! Life is Good!!!:goodvibes

That's very true. Life has its busy times, but at the end of those times you realize how much fun it was. :)

Awww great pictures! Dylan looks like such a happy boy! That was a great costume - love the "tatoo." It's amazing how fast the kids pick up the routine once there is candy involved!

We practiced trick or treating at our house and he looked at us like we were crazy. Then some kids came over and he watched us give out candy. After the first house that we went to, the light bulb switched on. He power-walked all over the neighborhood after that.

Dylan looked great for Halloween!!! Great idea and came out so cute!

Thank you! It was fun putting it together.

Such great pictures - and I loved his Halloween costume - darling!!

Thanks so much!

Todd wanted to pick a costume where we could spike his hair straight up. I told him that he can spike his hair other days of the year too, if that's what he wanted to do. I told him I'd prefer it's not on Sunday for church though.

That is so cute about Claire. I guess they don't understand the light not being on at that age, huh? We have had to hide the pumpkin full of candy because that is all he wants when he sees it.

Thanks for sharing those pics of Dylan. I put up a few of my little guy yesterday on my PTR!

I love the pics of your little guy. Dylan is not in the stage where he will wear anything on his head, so a lot of ideas went out the window. I loved the helmet that he was wearing. SO cute!

So cute! And he looks older already....

I agree he looks older...and it makes me a little sad. We sent the parents to Todd's parents (who don't see him very frequently) and they commented that he looked so much older. He has gone through another growth spurt so he just keeps getting taller. Sigh. I never understood the whole "I wish he would stay young" thing before. I get it now. :sad2:

Our whole last 2 months have been crazy busy. I'm looking forward to slowing down a little in the near future. Then it's time for the holidays...

LOVVVVE the rock star costume -- he looks great! Very Billy Idol-ish. I may have to steal the idea for next year. ;)

Billy Idol was the inspiration, so I'm glad to hear that we succeeded. Steal away with the ideas. It wasn't too difficult to pull together.

I love the pics of him & his best buddy! So cute! Thanks for sharing.

They are so cute together. They are only 2 months apart and have known each other since birth. They have gone through every stage together so far, and it has been so fun watching them grow together.

Dylan was one cute rocker. Love it.

Thanks, Ginny!

I will definitely check it out. I have been meaning to read your old reports anyways, so I will do that soon! :goodvibes

Cute pics of the birthday and Halloween! Love the rockstar costume, that's what I was too!!

How did your costume turn out? At first I was intimidated to do this, because I wasn't sure where to start. Once we got the clothing down, the rest was easy.

Welcome and thanks for reading! I promise the celebrity sighting is coming up soon. I realized it happened on one of the last days of the trip, so maybe I shouldn't have thrown that in the title.... :confused3

I love your sunglass story. I laughed out loud when I read about the fire. A lot of our selection had flames on them as well. It must seem really cool to someone in the sunglass designing business to put flames on everything. I can see it now... "Something is missing. I know, we need more flames!"
