Again, I love this show! I’m not as crazy of a Country Bears fan as some other people, but I still appreciate it.

Hungry Bear Restaurant. I think they have lots of curry options here, so I didn’t end up getting food. But lots of fun rooms to eat in.

Enjoying all your updates! Once upon a time that Country Bear Christmas show was at WDW. I am not a fan of the country bears, so I was looking forward to the xmas show, went in like 2010 and it was gone! Such a sad day.

Yeah I am with you, that Fairy Godmother is CREEPY! Disney has the most amazing costuming, and that is the best they could do? Yikes! Looks like they got her mask from the dollar tree clearance secton!

Oh no worries! I'm sooo far behind on all of my TRs, but I'm going to read them eventually, lol!

I think I saw photos of her before my trip and she was a character I definitely wanted to meet, so it worked out really well!

Oh that's so sad! The christmas version is so much fun! And they do the switchover with only a day or two of downtime so it can't be too hard to do it at WDW - it would be such a good PR move to Disney fans!

Yeah, Gepetto wasn't creepy. The fairy godmother's eyes were just too much!

The bicycle piano would be so great! They had it in Hong Kong too. And yes, that parade was spectacular!

Part 6 Fastpass-a palooza

Throughout the day I had been banking fastpasses for later in the afternoon, and I guess it was time to use them! (Remember, this is a system like Maxpass, so you can have overlapping FPs, you just have a delay before you get another one.)

At some point I picked up a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. I don’t have photos on the ride, but I think it was pretty much the same as the Disneyland version (including the guns which you pick out of the holster). I’ve still been forever spoiled now I’ve done the Shanghai version!

In the store outside (I don’t think it was an actual “dump” shop, instead across the walkway, but it was still buzz lightyear themed. (I don’t remember if it’s still there or if it’s been rethemed for Baymax.)

Time for dinner at Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall, another buffeteria style.

Outside decorations (though this was slightly earlier in evening)

Into the kitchen. Love all the décor everywhere!

The menu. Entrees included Vegetable and egg salad, Beef patty with demi-glace sauce, roasted chicken, grilled swordfish, soups, salads.

Dessert looked good, including this cake (which was really meant for multiple people to share, as it was rather large), and the cup pudding or small cake slice (both strawberry themed and with souvenir plate/cups). I actually really wanted the pudding and cake, but was too full to eat dessert right then.

I did get the Flank Steak with Japanese Sauce (maybe a mix between sweet/sour and teriyaki). It was sooo good! Very tender and the sauce was yummy! I highly recommend eating there.

Since I was in that area, I wandered into Toontown.

I didn’t stay long, but I did stop into Goofy’s Paint ‘n’ Play House. I wish I had paused to take better photos of the decorations, including this scarecrow and other yard details!

Um, Goofy… I don’t know about that diving board!

Into the house. In Disneyland, Goofy’s house is basically a bounce house. (I haven’t been inside in years and years though.) In Tokyo it’s sort of an interactive game where you have paint guns and can color the home (which is a screen/projection-based game). It was fun, nothing crazy, an often has a long line, but cool for kids. No actual scores though.

I think there were different effects, but can’t remember if that happened during the game or at the end.

And I stopped into the Gag Factory for the Gauchopan machine. They had put in Christmas merch, which were little bags (previously it was buttons for One Man’s Dream). I wanted the one with the tree, but ended up with the green stripe and buildings. Still cute though!

I don’t know exactly how long I waited, but I found a good spot for Dreamlights. I think I actually found a spot on the edge of a planter, so I would have a higher seating spot, rather than sitting on the ground. I also took more videos this time.

Honestly, just so gorgeous! I do think this one beats Paint the Night for me. I still love PtN, but if I had to pick one, it’s Dreamlights.
