9pm Illuminations/10:30 Fantasmic- Possible?

The one caveat about using the boat is if DHS is closing at 10:00 PM and having a 10:30 PM F!,if not able to get on the first "post IllumiNations" boat,it probably won't be possible to wait for the second boat and make it to the DHS Mickey readers by 10:00 PM.(Every time I have timed the Epcot-DHS boat trip,it has been right around 30 minutes total).:)

(That time of night I think the walkway along Lake Hollywood is as safe as anywhere with other Guests using it as well as continuously passing Friendship boats.:))
I suppose I was one of the few people that didn't like the old SSR to DTD pathway, because it used a sidewalk on a public road. The new SSR to DTD bridge is very nice, and remains in "the bubble"

I have seen couples pushing strollers on the DHS path, and the road bridge is not a public pedestrian pathway, too. (It's an internal Disney road)

I know my DW would not make that walk, but I know others have different preferences.

Watch by International Gateway (which is not a problem since my favorite spot is right near there anyway) and you'll have absolutely no problem walking there in time. The one caveat is you can never guarantee seating at Fantasmic. As others have said, 2nd show should be fine but you never know. At a brisk but comfortable walking pace should be at entrance to Fantasmic around 9:45 before theater even is open to 2nd show audience (will look like a LONG line because of that).

I think "timing" has a lot to do with it.:)

At the time OP would be walking the Lake Hollywood path there would be a lot of Crescent Lake Resort Guests either walking to DHS for the F! or walking back from DHS after calling it a day,so the path would not be "empty".:)

Definitely possible. Just watch Illuminations from somewhere near the exit towards the Boardwalk and walk out and over to HS as soon as it's done. Illuminations is only 20 minutes and the walk is around 20 minutes (faster if you want to speed it up) and the second show usually isn't as busy so you shouldn't need to get there early.

Agree. Definitely possible and I've done it.

Just remember, you need to be at DHS by the time the park closes, not the time Fantasmic happens. I remember when I did this last year, the park closed at 10:00 and Fantasmic was at 10:30. But following the above, I was there a little after 9:30 and even had time for a TSM ride, since so much of the park dumped out after the first Fantasmic.
