Next cruise we are in a 9b on deck 2. Any experiences being that low on the ship? We have always had a verandah so next trip will be a little different.
I think it depends on the location of your cabin. We were deck 2 forward, and on really bad rocky sea days (10 ft swells said the Captain) it was unpleasant to be in the room. It was bad enough where I'd be seasick in the room, but not in the lobby or elsewhere. So choose as midship as you can get if you are sensitive to that. Other than the swaying, we loved the convenience of deck 2.
One of the reasons I asked. Lower and midship should have less movement.
We chose a 9B because of economics.
Have always stayed on deck 6/7. So will get our exercise going up to sun ourselves for sure!
On our last cruise (May 10) we were in room 2012 forward and on our last night I had to leave the room and sit in front of guest services mid ship it was so rough!
Hello we have no experience in cruising and have booked room 2010 for the Fantasy next Sept, I'm getting really nervous reading this post regarding getting seasick due to movement! I may try to change the room will check what room is still available
I did 9B 2038 (midship) on the Fantasy, and really loved it. Did not hear any noises, was much smoother than on the higher decks, really convenient to roll out of bed and run to Enchanted Gardens for breakfast before getting ready for the day. Very convenient for disembarkation/embarkation. They did an AMAZING job of sound-proofing the hallways. I was right next to the entrance to the lobby area for the Enchanted Gardens, and just around the corner from the Atrium, and couldn't hear a thing from any of those places. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely choose to sail there again! We are midship 2556 on the Fantasy so hopefully won't be rocky.
How about engine noise?
