Does anyone know anything about this event? IS it in Disneyland or WDW? When does it typically occur? What happens there. Inquiring minds want to know.

I also have been looking to see if wdw is doing this again this year. Looking at both sites listed in above posts was for 2002. Not sure if going to do it in 2003. I had found through a search on this board a link that tells about DL doing it this year.

I did this last year. I hear on dizpins that there is one scheduled for this year also. Not sure if I'll do it again though. At $99.99 a person, not really sure if it was worth it to ME (JMHO). You got to go to MK after closing and there was entainment and a dinner buffet. Several rides near the HM were open, (BTM, SM, the boat, country bears). This is considered a merchandise event. You preorder items (jackets, shirts, figurines, PINS which are limited) and are selected to buy them by a random selection system. It was neat going to the first ever at WDW, but I'm a little burned out by the merchandise events myself and look forward to my next visit to WDW to just relax and enjoy and not stand in too many lines to buy LE pins.

DH and I were very excited to attend this event in its inaugural year last October, however, it was a MERCHANDISING event and the primary focus was selling you stuff. We love the HM, so our primary focus was the fact that it was centered around the HM.

Here is a link to my review of the event, which caused some controversy on the Collector's Board because it wasn't an all-glowing review:

It's pretty pricey. If they do it again, I'm sure it will be popular again, but we won't be returning.

According to the Doombuggies sight, it will be held on October 29th this year. Too bad. We are flying down that day and will not be there in time for this event.

Great info. Dodie- Read the review and retorts (sp?) anyway, my DH would freak if we paid that much to buy memorabilia and that's all we got. Granted I would love to go to a Disneyana convention where I would have to pay that kind of money, but since THAT is cancelled the point is moot.
Also, we will be flying home before the event--thanks to Feralpeg for the date this year. I may have considered it but given the payback for the price I think I have to for go it.
