$99 Refurb nook - 3G + WiFi

Alright, so I ordered one, couldn't resist. Can anyone who has ordered one in the last couple of days post when they receive it. After reading all the posts on here, I am scared to death that its not legit. If someone will just post when the actually get it, I might calm down a bit.

The local Barnes and Noble had no idea that bn.com was selling refurb nooks. I showed them both websites and they (3 employees) had no idea. .. they admitted that all they were told to do was push the color nook.

The employees had no idea, manager (shift mgr) had no idea, and the "tech guru" had no idea. I put quotes around "tech guru" because even they had no idea that the domain of barnesandnobleinc and the ebay store was put into existence--even AFTER I showed them (via the nook) what was showing up. Again, the push was not for cheaper refurb but full price color.

I hate having to do other peoples jobs.. the identifying, the product searching and telling the manager what was going on. I had to tell them to look for a press release or a corp memo on this subject. (lots of ineptness!)

When I contatcted the ebay store, I told them. They said they are contatcting this specific store to TRAIN THEM CORRECTLY.

Seems like the employees in the store are the last to know about their own products, kinda like the disney CM's who don't seem to know about some of the promos that us diser's call and tell them about
I was at a B&N last week playing w/the nooks and asked an employee about the library borrowing function. The employee looked at me as though I was speaking a foreign language and said "you CAN'T borrow books through libraries with the nook, you can only buy e-books!!!"
I'm sure those of us who purchased the nooks are fine....I bought 2

I checked my ebay this am related to a different transaction and noticed that there are tracking numbers by both my nooks...they shipped yesterday

LOL I just picked out a M-Edge for DH (its his xmas present) for 15.00 (with shipping!) on ebay. Yay!! Gah I gotta stay off Ebay though!

I found out about this company on the nookboards.com, which considers them the Cadillac of Nook covers (I can see why).

I hope this deal comes again soon. My mom wants one for Christmas. She is always carrying a bag of books when she travels as she reads a lot. I am sure if a deal does not come a long then she will get the new color nook.

I like the thick leather look but I'm not fond of the designs. They look a little busy.

I found some nice Nook covers on Amazon (of all places!) search up nook cover and you will find quite a few nice ones.

I found the selection on B*N not very good for what you are paying for. What I like about this cover is not only the style (very pretty), but also the fact that it slips into the cover and not held on by elastic straps.

I thought I would like a leather one, but I'm really not that sure about that.
