I have had it up for the majority of the day. Really not a productive day at work. Some people are really mean on there though. Makes the community board here seem like angels.

Yeah it can be rough at times but its not the worst Ive seen. Just keep watching something will come up.

I am posting this on my new HP Touchpad ...all 4 arrived today from HP still waiting on the other 2 16gig's that are on back order

Yeah My 1 came yesterday too but I was down at daughters so could not play. I like the case and touchstone should be great for traveling to Disney

I've had mine for a couple weeks from Best Buy's website... It's touch choosing between the iPad or HP Touchpad when at home. On the road it is an easy choice... 3G

Yay! I'm glad you got yours first. I know you were very stressed out with all the uncertainty. As long as I get my 2 by Christmas HP will stay out of the dog house.

I just checked the tracking numbers.. 3 cases should arrive by the 18th, 1 case by the 20th.. and the protectors, are coming by USPS.. has a tracking number but haven't checked that yet.. lol

I signed up for the email alert too since after we ordered for the kids, now dh wants one. I never got an alert nor did I hear HP was selling more. They can't handle the orders they have now. Their estimate on our order is November. I ordered from HP that Sat night that OP posted it.

Did you order the skins and screen protector from Skinomi?

I finally opened my TP last night and put on the screen protector. I have to say that it looked horrible but you are supposed to wait a few days and minimum 12 hours before powering up your unit. This morning I opened the case and sure enough it looks MUCH better. still have some bubbles and some other things under there but fro everything I read its supposed to get better within a couple of days. I guess we will see. Trying to so the updates now.

I picked my 32GB HP TP from Radio Shack earlier today!! I could not sign for it yesterday so I had it sent to a nearby FedEx store. I ordered it Tuesday afternoon!

I have no point of comparison because I have not used the TP without doing this, heck I havent technically used it yet (except to play angry birds for test) but I followed this this morning , so I guess you might notice a diference. Go here:

I updated the system software, I installed preware (most of the ones listed and a couple more I think I might like), changed some security settings suggested and i overclocked it to 1.5. I have then just put a few apps, syncd my email and calendar and thats it for now. (i had to leave the house and now im back ready to tinker again lol).

Anyone else?

HP never did sell more after the original date. Someone has no clue what they are talking about thinking they missed out. This is why you should read the ahead to figure out what others are talking about before assuming things.

I am an HP employee, and the opinions expressed are my own: (i do not work for the Consumer goods division, and have no information that isn't already published on public websites, so i can't help anyone out beyond my own experiences)

I received one of these yesterday, and have been playing.. I like the web browser .. it allows you to use ALL functions of facebook .. even the games.. without using the FB app...

Preware is a very usefull tool.. and if you plan on watching movies or listening to music, i would recommend Kalemsoft.com media player. It works with a number of formats that the default HP Player does not .. Its on the HPApp store for $6.00 but an updated version is available directly from the website for free. (you do need to pay if you want to stream media instead of copying it though)

the battery life is good so far.. getting about 6 hours of usage between charges. I am still trying to figure out how to get it to tether to my Palm pre 2 for internet..

All in all -- if you do your research (and precentral is a great resource) you will get a lot of use out of it.

I would love if Hulu+ or Netflix were supported.. but Hulu specifically banned the device and Netflix requires a special app that isn't going to be built as far as i can tell.

Just wanted to report for those that have bought the Skinomi skins (http://www.skinomi.com/hptop.html (use skinomi25 for an addtl 25% off, i got my screen protector for $5.xx, FS) I bought the screen protector and it looks AWESOME! (granted I will agree with a few and report that theres like 1mm off on the bottom(i think it was cut wrong) but after a few days there are NO bubbles, nothing! it is perfect. Looks like there is nothing on the screen. Just an FYI .... havent played with TP too much because I was trying to get the screen to settle and it finally has.

I missed out on the Radio Shack deal....maybe it's just not meant for me to have one of these things. I'm still on the original HP waitlist but, who knows if I will really get them. I ordered 2 32g - 1 for me and Christmas present for DS13.
