I'm just glad I stayed up late enough to see the price change at midnight. Otherwise, I was going to Best Buy in the morn at opening...no telling how long of line that might be!

I just ordered one about 15-20 mins ago. I got an e-mail conf that said they wouldn't debit my card until the order is shipped, but I check and they already took it. It also says that my order is processing and cannot be changed, so hopefully all of this is a good sign.

I have been search and comparing cheap tablets between $100 to $180 for the past month. So glad I waited a little longer! This one has better specs than even the $180 one I was planning to purchase (a Coby) and the screen is over 2 inches bigger. I am toying with the idea of buying one or two more...

Yay! I finally got my email confirmation from HP! It does state 2 of the 32g tablets. So now I'll have to wait on hold for a jillion years for them to straighten out the double billing of my cc.

I see that B&N still has them. Thinking of ordering another one, and returning my kindle back to staples! This is much cheaper than the kindle!

It does say unable to process order with the number to call on the first page of Order Status but but if you click on check your order it says it is processing to ship.

You got your order placed in the wee hours of Sunday morning, right? I didn't get mine through til closer to 10a, so hopefully sometime today I'll get a confirmation. My credit card's been charged and the order shows up where you check for them, so that's 2 out of the 3 things I need. Though, I'm wondering if I should jump on the B&N deal 'just in case.'

Don't return it yet, B&N is cancelling orders that were placed last night. Its doubtful that they have them available to ship. People on SD are reporting getting the cancellation email as long as 4 hours after they placed their orders.

If I would have seen this the other day it may have saved my family from some craziness yesterday morning. I was laying in bed and got a call from my brother at like 8 a.m. that he was going to Best Buy on one part of town and wanted us to go to a different one. All in all we needed 3 of these HP tablets and got them from Best Buy early yesterday morning for this price. I was playing around on it last night and it worked for just simple browsing and such, especially when we are on vacation and I don't want to lug the laptop with us!

Ordered 2 from HP Saturday night around 6:30 PM EST and received my confirmation Sunday at approximately 6 AM. It was a rough process (3 hrs)as I'm certain most of you are aware. I wasn't certain that my order went through as my confirmation page with all the details flashed for literally 3 seconds and then displayed 'internal server error'. After holding for 3 hours to verify status, I gave up and figured that if I received them great and if not, it simply wasn't worth any further aggravation.

This morning, I ordered one from BN and the entire process lasted 2 minutes. I'll pay the extra $2 any day for that

Yeah that is what I wanted it for too to take to Disney to use....I just ordered another on B&N just in case the the amazon order don't go thru...I can just give as gift to grandson... thanks for the info about its use...was worried...all I want it for is that too...bought a router to take too to Disney.. I got one for DD and one for DH for work. We have been looking for something for him to do coaching work on and something for her to take to college besides her laptop. I didnt want to spend $$$ since his gets bumped and banged in his case from plane to plane and well, shes a college student (need I say more). These will do the trick and for the $ if they get damaged I will be angry but not as much as an Ipad angry...lol. I hope the B and N orders go through. Thanks Budget Board friends.!

Alot of people on another forum are getting a message from the B&N website concerning their order for the 16g... "Unable to process order... please call XXX-XXX" You guys might want to check on your order if you purchased from there. Thanks, April

So my B&N account status now shows the dreaded "unable to process order" (I placed my order after midnight-1am cst sometime)....however, some of the info says it's still processing. I also haven't received the cancellation email that others have reporting getting...although I sense it's coming. Weird.

AnyHOO, I figured I was out of luck with B&N so I called MacMall - and after holding for close to 2 hrs I finally got through. I was able to order a $99 16gb for myself, and a $149 32gb for DH. They require tax and shipping, but for me at this point, no prob.

So if anyone is still looking, call MacMall.

Ok I went crazy this weekend trying to find these. I thought I would be out of luck, but I checked B&N.com this morning and they are still accepting orders onteh 16g...I am hoping it goes through!! The price this morning was $101...so we will see! I agree I cant wait to see posts saying I got my HP touchpad.

I guess I'll have to check throughout the day - ordered mine from HP about 11 am yesterday (Sunday), but haven't received a confirmation email, and my account hasn't been charged. I do have an order number, though. I was thinking about this yesterday -- I know NOTHING about these, and think I'm going to have a heavy learning curve. But I'm up to the task!

Mine hasn't either but there are people saying that they got cancellations after they got the "your item is ready to be shipped" email and after their CCs had been charged. Its such a mess, I hope everyone is able to find one somewhere!
