Statement from HP regarding sales through Small Business site...

Basically it sounds like you may have to wait up to 2 days to get a confirmation. Based on twitter account, if you have a confirmation from small business you have a "place in line" and they will fill the orders first come first serve.

I wonder if they got hit by a lot of traffic. I went to it when I first saw it and was able to add one to my cart. What a pain. The store is called Cost Central. This isn't an Amazon.com store.

Finally got a confirmation email from best buy I was able to order two this morning.

$102 plus tax and shipping at Barnes and Noble. It was $113.xx total for me but since it just got marked down on their site I think there's a good chance they won't cancel it.

Hm HP's website says they can't process my order and to call them. I wonder if I should try to get another one from somewhere else.

I got one at www.macmall.com........They have the 16gb for $99 no tax outside of CA and free shipping They also have the 32gb for $149.
I couldn't finish the transaction online so I telephoned them.... they said their site had too much traffic and they were resetting it.
They have a 30 day return policy .
I purchased the 32gb one and have received a confirmation email stating it will be delivered by fedex on Wednesday.

mind you I was on hold for sometime.
I purchased it with my Amex that adds an extra year to my warranty.

As we each get this device into our hands, we have to stay in touch as well all deal with any problems that may arise with this iPad 'Also Ran'

I've read some very GOOD reviews - and some very BAD reviews - so I'm excited to see what I have to say about it.

I don't think I'll be putting this device through the paces like a total computer geek, but with the way I love to keep a ton of windows open on my computer... I'm sure to crash this thing!

Anyone else thinking about cracking it to install Android?

I ordered 3 from B&N. Two of the three are the 32gb which were full price, but I'm hoping the price will drop in a few hours and I'll get a PA. If not, I'll refuse the order. Placed a 2nd order for one 16gb as a back-up. Finally!!!!!!!!

Went through ebates for 6% back.

YIPPEE... I just received my order confirmation from B&N. I was looking at purchasing a tablet for myself because my hubby has kidnapped my laptop. I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted but the price for this HP made the decision for me. Thanks for posting about this fabulous deal!

A good friend of mine is a Tech junkie and did this to his Viewsonic Gtablet... he said he'll do this to my Touchpad too. He said that the software it comes with is actually pretty good and that more than likely in a few months they'll have Android software for this. Thanks! April
