Hi. I'm new to all of this and I have a zillion questions. So did I do this right and is that a good rate? We have 5 people so I'm worried that we will be stuck with a small car and be miserable. Should I book something bigger just to be safe? I can also reserve a standard size for $8 more for the week? If I do a reserve, can I still pick from any car, or do I have to get a standard size? I would love to get there and find a minivan. Is that possible? Will I have to have the Entertainment coupon and my Emerald card when we get the car? Do you guys buy the extra insurances that are offered?

I hope you can understand my ramblings! ;)

THank you guys for your help!!:flower:

Thats a very good rate, but its risky with EA as far as getting a big enough car. You are only guaranteed a mid-size.

I would book the size you need because it will be VERY tight to have 5 people in an intermediate which is what you will more then likely get on the EA. Nothing else is guaranteed.

I would quickly book hoping to get a similar price for something bigger. You must hand over the Entertainment coupon when you pick up your car.

If you book another size then it will be Emerald Reserve and you must go to the aisle of the size you booked. No minivan unless that is what you booked.

Emerald Aisle is intermediates with a slight chance at an upgrade. All other sizes booked, you only get to pick from the aisle of that size, period.

I'd go with the size you need. Even if you can manage to fit your party of 5 into an intermediate, you'll probably have a problem with luggage - unless you travel very, very light!

Best wishes -

Since rates are so low, I reserved a full size for May rather than Emerald Aisle. It was $114 vs $106. Usually you cannot pick from the Emerald Aisle if you reserve full size but we asked an attendant when we were there 2 weeks ago because there was only 1 full size available and he allowed us to take an Aztec from the EA.
