I live in the Chicago area and am considering adding on at the Black Friday sale for BLT. My per point cost would be about $97. My online research indicates that the lowest cost BLT sold for direct from Disney was $107. Was it ever lower? I am stil cringing at the high points needed for stays and the out of pocket cost!

My last BLT add-on in June 2009 was $96 per point. I know there were even better deals on larger add-ons.

$107 is not the lowest price for BLT direct. I bought a little over a year ago at $96 a point and I think there are some who were able to buy at $92 a point after 1 particular webcast. However, the $97 you are being offered is a very good deal compared to recent direct prices.

And don't forget this coming Wednesday 12/1 the price goes up to $130 per point, yikes.

Husband on his way home from the New York store, where we purchased 250 pts at BLT today at $97 / pt. (I stayed home with the dogs and son) We were able to write it up as two contracts at 125 each. They called me and put me on speakerphone for any questions, etc. They even sent him home with a $50 gift card (he asked if we were eligible for the $500 card from the webcast last week..we weren't) but still, so very excited!

He told me that just going to the store itself was a Disney experience, and lots of fun...I'm poppin' the champagne when he gets here

We've been pondering DVC for about 10 years now, and when we heard about the black friday offering, we were sold!!

Congratulations and Welcome Home. This is just the beginning of many years of Disney memories. :cheer2:

thank you Robert for the welcome and SSR owner, you're not kidding about Merry Christmas! We are truly blessed :littleangel:

My 360 point BLT purchase in June of 2009 was for $91 a point. I believe it was the only occurrence of perfect timing in my life.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Yes, you got a great deal, considering the price goes up in the next few days. Enjoy it!

We will be at BLT on Dec 4th and can't wait!

I think everyone would agree that if you are going to buy BLT direct from Disney, this would be the right time.

Keep in mind, that maintencance fees for BLT are some of the lowest, and the points can be used for other resorts, if the high point requirement at BLT concerns you.

However, if finances are an issue, then wait until you are totally comfortable with the committment.

We got $92 a point for 275 points following the first webcast in June 2009. At that time, DVC was offering a free cruise, but they were allowing you to take more of the points in lieu of the cruise. I am so glad we bought then as I'm not sure we could afford it now. Although, $96 per point is reasonable. There is no way I would have spent over $100 per point.

ssawka and quirty30, great deal at $92 and $91! I think we all did good, and our timing was right. Have any of you Bay Lake owners found it difficult to book a 2 bedroom as far as availability goes? We're going to try for early August.

I just reserved a standard 2 BR for Oct. Unfortunately I had to waitlist for a dedicated, but I was able to reserve a lock-off.
