As told by a dvc owner that I would have a $95 transportation fee at check in, does anyone know about this?
It's an exchange and it's against RCI's rules. The reservation could be canceled unilaterally by RCI at any point. As told by a dvc owner that I would have a $95 transportation fee at check in, does anyone know about this?

It is separate from a $59 guest certificate charge.Just curious now. We are RCI members who traded into DVC (BWV) and when I completed the exchange my confirmation email says I will have to pay a $95 fee at check-in. OP perhaps this is what you are referring to?It is separate from a $59 guest certificate charge.
No, rentals are against RCI's rules. They will semi official allow one to recoup the exchange fee and guest cert fee but no more. II isn't that forgiving but not currently available with DVC.Wouldn't it be legal if the RCI member purchased a Guest Certificate? Maybe most don't actually do that, but I thought those certificates made it OK.
The $95 fee is payable to DVC and is essentially a "because we can" fee. It's called a resort services fee but it doesn't add anything that a DVC member wouldn't have had they just reserved and not exchanged and it doesn't add anything to the exchange party they couldn't do on their own. But it's still cheaper to pay in and pay the fee than other methods of staying at DVC.Just curious now.
