Hi, I have rented points many times but have never had any one require me to pay a $95 fee at check in. I have an offer from someone who requires me to pay this at check in. Is this new?
TIA

Only inbound RCI exchanges would be required to pay the $95 fee to the resort.

yep - it is an RCI exchange.

also, it is against RCI policy to rent exchanges, so there is some risk that RCI will cancel the reservation and suspend the renter's account.

That answers my question!

Ok that answers my question,

We have gifted vacations before to other people. I think it is an extra $59 fee. Doesn't sound like that is what they are doing because it sounds like they must already have the vacation booked, but might be worth checking.

This isn't a gift. The OP was looking at renting the reservation. So if they are renting and not gifting, this should not be legal.

Technically not legal but RCI or DVC has really done nothing to stop it. Check out Ebay there are usually a ton of rentals out there.

I would say slim chance of anything going to be done by RCI or DVC but if it was me I would rent from someone I trusted and it would be a DVC points rental.

Why not just rent from a DVC member and not worry about your reservation getting canceled?
