And basically you are just another individual sitting on the sidlines with a knee-jerk reaction of running your mouth off over a situation you know nothing about living in an area hundreds, if not thousands of miles away from hurricane Charley country. :rotfl2:

I thought you were smarter than this, but at 51 years old, I've made my share of mistakes before. What's one more.

For me, this ends right here. No need to continue..........you've already provided me and few hundred of your closest friends with enough information to connect the dots.
Wow, this is quite a reaction! If people won't play "bash the insurance company" game your way, you'll grab your stuff and run away.

It's the only reaction people get, and deserve, when they start implying people like myself are liars with agendas. I don't play that game.

And if that wasn't what you were implying, then go back and reread your "hearsay" posts because that's how they came across.

MissJasmine and several others here have verified that all was not hunky-dory in the state of Florida when it came to insurance, insurance companies, and the payout of claims. And yet you folks, who live nowhere near this area think you have all the answers.

Let me clue you in on a little something: Sooner or later karma shows up and you get bitten in the ***. Last week, it was a hurricane, tomorrow it may be a tornado or next week, it could be a killer snow storm. Good luck with your insurance company.

Right... you only want to play the game when people follow your rules. But when someone demands a level playing field, then you toss the game board in the air and cry "foul!"

Just calling it like I see it. You want to issue a blanket condemnation of all insurance companies, but you cannot provide any specific, substantative evidence of bad faith operation, other than "my neighbors told me so." Things that make you go "Hmmm" :scratchin

LOL! You think that FL is the only state that has homeowners insurance claims?!?! You think you have some sort of absolute lock on problems? :rotfl2:

I've had my share of homeowners insurance claims (note the plural), albeit not for hurricanes. I've been fortunate to have received very good service from my insurers, just like you did. So like you, I have nothing to complain about.

I was right the first time..........you really aren't smarter than this.
My, what a temper tantrum. When you can't address the issues, attack the poster's intelligence. :sad2:

Well I guess you did not read my post that stateed that we HAD damage from HURRICANE ISABELLE and our insurance agent took care of all of our repairs, even one that I missed and did not ask for. So I do know what I am talking about. We lost 6 30+ foot trees and had to stake (to save them) 8 more 30+ foot trees. They clocked winds above 80 miles per hour in our area.

You can't make this stuff up.

I do, actually, and am curious what you mean by internally if you don't work there?

I know many current Chubbies.

I didn't know Citizen's was free.

I never said they were free. I said they charge below market rate premiums. If you pay a cut rate for something, you shouldn't expect top notch service. You don't expect the same service at the Dollar Stare as you do at Nordstroms.

We live in Tampa, fl. We were non-renewed this year by our homeowners insurance carrier, Tower Hill. They said they were pulling out of Florida completely as are many other carriers. We were paying $917.00 a year.
I shopped around and we went with USF&G and are now paying $2050.00 a year.
We can afford it but I am not happy about it. Who would be?

Tower Hill renewed me without comment. Rates went up a few dollars, as I would expect any company to do to keep up with inflation.

If for some reason they do pull out, I'll insure with Chubb.
