Hi all, not sure which forum to post this in. I called Disney today and was on hold for 90+ minutes when I gave up and hung up the phone. I called 2 other times today and all circuits were busy! Is there something special booking today or going on? It is never this long......

Yes today is a bad day to call and for awhile-the spring discounts came out so everyone is calling to either book or update their package.

Good luck, I would either wait a few days if you can or call really late at night or early in the am.

I've been trying to book a bounce back from my room today. Now I know why I can't get through! :sad1:

I'm currently at 35 minutes [thank goodness for ear set!]. I'll hold out a bit longer, but wondering if anyone here knows the answer to my question?

We will save over $900 by booking under the special spring rates.....however, I worked really hard to organize, and get, our ADR's. Will I lose them? While on hold I checked availability of the 7 ADR's we currently have. I will lose for sure 3 of them, 2 of which I'm not sure I'll get again - California Grill and O'hana. I'm so torn if infact we will lost them with what I should do. I mean, we budgeted for the vacation we have now, but knowing, just knowing that we could save that amount of money is making the decision so hard! I know, it's crazy to "pay" $900 for two dinner reservations, which is essentially what we'll be doing if we lost them by rebooking :confused3

I just went through the same thing, even switched resorts. Did not lose any ADRs, they are completely separate.

I've always read that ADR's are tied to your MDE account not your resort ressie.

Hopefully someone will verify this.

:good vibes Well, not quite the car commercial, but 55 minutes saved me $900!! :cool1: You are absolutely correct, and I can verify it first hand, that our ADR's are tied to my MDE account and completely separate from my resort reservation! Thanks for the replies! I'm just thrilled!!! Now for the FP+ booking anxiety on the 7th ;)

They're not. The ability to initially book is, but once you're past the booking window, it's as if you made each reservation individually, 180 days out each day. Make sense?

You can cancel and rebook, and the ADRs will stay. FPPs, however, are known to sometimes drop in the case of a fully cancelled reservation.

$900! That's got to feel good! :yay:

I'm finally on hold, but my speaker button on the hotel phone doesn't work. Hope someone answers soon or I'll have a crick in my neck. :crazy2:

I was just trying to book the bounce back from my resort room for next September. It was 25% off room only for Pop. :goodvibes

Oh glad you got in, still on hold. Was was just calling to make a payment but if I get in I will have them check to see if there is a better rate for me.:laundy:

Good idea. :thumbsup2 Hope you get through soon and get a good price. :goodvibes

Ok no pixiedust: for me:crazy2: I'm booked at POFQ and I'm NOT willing to switch resorts we really enjoy the live music and smaller scale resort. I could have saved $300 changing to POP preferred room:surfweb: We really like POP, it will only be my DH and I sooooo no kids to look after.

This is making me think of the pros and cons now.

POP loud pool area drinks by the pool in March could be dicey.
POFQ nice bar area with live music small scale boat to DTD.

We are renting a car for the trip

If anyone has any suggestions I'm open:scratchin

The Contemporary my all time fav was $9000.00. :happytv::rotfl2::lmao::cool1:
Yes I just had to ask.:badpc:

I upgraded our hotel last month to a room that changed our whole package bc it was a room only discount instead of the SPD...I asked over and over if our FP would be affected bc I had spent an hour at midnight the night before booking them and I was told repeatedly that it wouldn't affect them. Unfortunately, when I checked MDE the next day all of my FP were gone...I nearly cried. Thank goodness that I got a great rep who was able to get back all of my FP for me. Anna and Elsa were all gone but he got me a special FP that allows us to go at any time during that day. Moral of the story...don't count on keeping your ADRs :worried:

Whoopsie! Just read that you were able to switch with no issues, that's graet! Maybe someone else will learn from my story though :)
