90 + 10 question with/without MS

As our family has been building a house and moving over the last year or so, I've somewhat lost touch with all things Disney. We've got reservations at BWV in December so I will soon be needing to make my dining reservations.

September 5 is 90 days before our check-in date. However this is labor day, so I imagine MS will be closed.

I'm aiming for a lunch at Cinderella's castle and a few other not as hard to get reservations. What's my best strategy? Call MS on September 6th? Don't use MS - call Disney Dining direct? If so, can I do the 90 + 10 or am I limted to 90 days out?

We're in the same boat, except our window opens the day before yours does. Here's some info from Allearsnet.com http://allearsnet.com/din/reserv.htm

According to this, WDW Dining IS open on holidays and weekends.

If it were me, I'd call Disney Dining on Labor Day (assuming it is open and I think it will be) and make the PS reservations for at least the first day of my stay. FWIW, not all of the PS times are available to those who use the 90 +10 option. So you might get lucky and get a CRT breakfast (or other popular meals) for your first day. Then I'd tell the CM that you have a DVC reservation and ask if they will make the PS arrangements for the rest of your stay. They might say yes.

If not, I'd call Disney Dining again as soon as they open on September 6 to try for CRT (if you still need it). Dining opens at 7 Eastern and MS doesn't open until 9 Eastern.

If Dining won't do the 90 +10 deal for DVC, then you can call MS when they open (it will probably be very, very busy due to the Holiday, so be prepared to wait on hold or call later in the day). Then MS csn make the rest of your PS.

If you don't get everything you want, remember that not all of the PS times are released for 90 +10 reservations. You can keep calling daily to try for whatever you wre unable to get.

Call Disney Dining, not MS. You could wait way too long. Plus, Disney Dining is open 7 days a week at 7 am.

I had a similar question 3 weeks ago and I decided to go with disney dining. I got Cinerella's for lunch on the day we arrive. Then I asked the CM about the +10 feature and he asked for my DVC reservation number. I gave it to him and got reservations at Princess Story book breadkfast at Norway. I didn't try for Breakfast at the castle because we were already eating lunch there. Since you haven't been keeping track of all things disney, there's a new princess lunch at the castle. You may want to considered the lunch if you don't get the breakfast. Good luck!

Just an update - I was indeed able to call Disney Dining Direct this morning and use my DVC confirmation number to make ADRs for the whole trip. Worked just fine!
