Okay, here is the situation. My 9 y/o DS is turning 10 while we are in Disney World. Can I purchase the kids portion of the DDP? Is Disney so "all-knowing" that they will know his age? Do they ever ask for proof? Will anybody actually "card" my son? Check his age?

We are staying as DVC members and adding the DDP on, 2 adults and the 10 year old. We are not purchasing any park tickets as we already have some unused one days to use up.

Thanks for the advice.

Don't quote me, but I believe you will have to pay for the age they are at check in...

I hope so for your sake, my wallet is taking quite the hit for my DD who is solidly 10 now, and we leave in 80 something days!

Children remain the age that they were at check in in Disney's eyes. Your child will remain a child and you can purchase the $9.99/night DP for them.

(obviously they will order from the kids menu for length of stay as well)
