9 nights of dining with pics!!!! Finished!!!

Ok, I'm sorry if this is choppy tonight. I am sick along with my really crabby sick 2 year old. We ate breakfast at CP this morning and met up with a wonderful disser aksunshine, and had a great day with Alicia and her family!! I was so busy enjoying my visit with them and taking pics of our kids, I forgot the food:rotfl: . So all I can say is CP is a must do for us!! We love the food, the characters are great!! I am sadly thinking of skipping it next year to try someplace else for breakfast. We have eaten there the last 3 trips sometimes 2 times during the trip, so its all good. Now on to the pictures. We at dinner that night at Kona Cafe. This was a first for us, and boy were we happy!! Here is a pic of the menu

Brandon and I ordered Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri's for our drinks. It was so refreshing on such a hot day!

They brought out this bread with OMGoodness the butter..............It was so yummy!!! I think I clogged my arteries a bit that night, because I ate the leftover butter with a spoon :rotfl: . I couldn't throw it away! Sorry the bread was torn into, Daniel couldn't wait:rotfl:

So tonight my DH wanted an Ice tea, I didn't take a picture of that. He ordered the Tuna Oscar and really enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good, but I didn't like the fried green tomatos that came with it.

9-2-08037.jpg

Bradley ordered the kids Mac and Cheese with the Chicken Noodle Soup. He ate every bit of the Mac and Cheese up, so it must have been good!!

9-2-08034.jpg

Brandon ordered the Coconut Almond Chicken. I tasted that too, and it was pretty good! For as small of an eater Brandon is, he ate almost the whole chicken breast. He didn't like the greens though.

9-2-08036.jpg

I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops. Now the waiter told me its perfect if you are not too hungry which I wasn't. It was sooooo yummy!!! I definately plan on ordering that again next year!!

9-2-08033.jpg

Now on to the desserts. Chris and I ordered the Banana-Chocolate Creme Brulee. Yeah, big surprise there:rotfl:

9-2-08039.jpg

For the life of me I can't remember what this was called that Brandon had. Very good, but rich!

9-2-08038.jpg

Poor Bradley was stuck again with an Ice Cream Sundae. We shared our desserts with him so he didn't feel left out. Daniel shared some of everyones food tonight also!

Well, I think that wraps up Day 5. Tomorrow we ate leftovers in our room, and then Lunch at Yak N Yeti!!! Thanks for sticking around everyone!!! Have a great night!!

I want the shrimp and scallop at Kona, Can you get something other than the rice ? I would prefer potatoes of somesort. That banana creme brulee looks yummy !!

Thanks for the reviews, especially Kona. We will be eating dinner there for the first time in a couple of weeks and you had pics of some items that we're thinking of ordering and do they ever look tasty! :thumbsup2

Ya know, I'm not sure if you can get something instead of the rice. The Creme Brulee was really good. There was a thin layer of chocolate on the bottom of the dish:cloud9: .

I'm sure you will be happy with Kona!!

Great reviews! So glad to see that a very picky 2 year old ate well. That is my biggest concern for our January trip...that my son won't eat!

OMGoodness, my son ate like crazy. The day we ate at Yak N Yeti, he wanted Shrimp and cake (steak). He had never had shellfish, so I was a little worried with it, but he wouldn't stop hollering for it so I gave in. He loved it!!! I only wish he would eat at home:rolleyes1

Hopefully the same will happen for my DS!!! Glad you all had such a good time!

Was the banana creme brulee flavored with fake banana flavoring (a la circus peanut candy and such) or just had a real banana with it.

I like creme brulee, and I like bananas, but I detest that fake banana flavoring. Blech.

Looks like a good meal! :thumbsup2

We have reservations for Park Fare in November. I have 2 sons, 12 and 6. Think it will be too girly for them? Would you go back again?
Loving your reviews!

Went to Park Fair last Dec with our 6 year old son and my "really rough & tough" 8 year old nephew. And guess what they loved it! I think everyone including boys haas a fascination with Cinderella (although boys won't admit it). The evil step sisters were hilarious and really involved the boys in all of their antics! They definitely (characters and CMs) do a great job at not letting boys feel left out on the fun! And my son really got a hoot out his Aunt dancing with Prince Charming!!!
We all enjoyed it so much (the food is fab) that we will be there again a week from Friday!

I might be wrong, but I didn't taste banana in the creme brulee, maybe I missed it though:confused3 . To me it seemed more custardish with maybe vanilla?

Great, thanks! I want to try all different types of Creme Brulee if we are able to go next year. A girl's gotta dream, right? :wizard:

Hello everyone!!! Lets talk about Yak N Yeti. Boy were we really happy with this choice. I really flipfloped on this one with several reviews being just so so. This has become a must do now for us!!! For our drinks we ordered sodas. You really can't mess up a soda LOL. Ok on to the food and pics now. I really wanted to try the Wok Fried Greenbeans. OMGosh were they delish!!! They came with this sweet Thai Chili dipping sauce which really complemented the beans!

Bradley ordered the Egg roll, fried rice and applesauce. He didn't like the rice, I really didn't like it either. I'm not sure why though:confused3

9-3-08023.jpg

Brandon ordered the Tempura Shrimp. He ate almost every bit of it. He cleared all the shrimp, sharing with Bradley and ate quite a bit of the rice. The only thing he didn't like were the veggies. Typical kid I guess. He really enjoyed it he said!

9-3-08025.jpg

Chris ordered the Seared Miso Salmon. He liked it, I thought it was just OK. The jasmine rice he had with it was soooo very good though!

9-3-08026.jpg

I ordered the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly, and very tender! Daniel kept asking for shrimp and cake:rotfl: . He never eats steak at home, so what ever they marinated it in he liked. I ordered the coconut ginger rice instead of the Jasmine rice I should have stuck with the Jasmine. Chris swiched his rice for mine. He liked it, but it didn't do anything for me.

9-3-08024.jpg

Daniel was pitching a fit for some shrimp. He had never had it before, so I was a bit worried. You can see how much he enjoyed it. He ate the whole thing!
9-3-08030.jpg

For dessert, Bradley had an ice cream sundae. Brandon and Chris tried the Fried Wontons. Very good BTW!!

9-3-08031.jpg

I ordered the Sorbet which was Lemon, Raspberry, and Mango. Very good on a hot day!

9-3-08032.jpg

They brought out an extra ice cream for the baby

Oh yea baby those Wok fried green beans are calling my name! I can't wait to eat there in November!!!!:thumbsup2

Did you bring the highchair cover with you everywhere? did you find that the highchairs were gross? We used to use a cover when my DS was smaller now I just wetwipe everything before he sits.

We only used the highchair cover for the first week or so. After him getting really sick last year, I wasn't taking any chances. They looked pretty clean though!

those shrimp tempura look delicious!

They were really good!!

I was wondering the same thing when I saw it in the pix! :cutie: I used to FAITHFULLY use one on high chairs with my older daughter but now, like you, I just Wet Wipe everything, the chair, the table -- and then I use the sticky Table Toppers (for my younger one).

I'd HOPE Disney doesn't let gunk build up on them. That'd be nasty! I certainly don't want to lug around my cover everywhere if I can aviod it.
