Most of the 2 bedrooms "sleep" 8.Would 9 be allowed? The 2 youngest kids will be 4 and 5 when we go.

No. The only time a child is not counted for occupancy is if ONE child is under 3 in a pack and play. If occupancy is listed as 8, they mean 8, not "stuff an extra kid over 3 in."

Actually, most of the two bedrooms allow nine people. They might not profile a sleeping surface for all nine, but occupancy limits allow it. VGF lock offs actual allow 10.

The following not only allow 9 but have sleeping places for nine in the 2BR: BLT, AKV (other than "value" rooms), and OKW, which each have a an extra twin bed that pulls out from a large chair in the living room; VWL 2BR lock-offs (combined studio and 1BR) which have an extra Murphy bed that pulls down from the cabinet below the TV in the studio; VGF dedicated 2BRs (can only be a 2BR) which have that Murphy bed in the living room; VGF 2BR lock-offs which actually allow and sleep ten which have that Murphy bed both in the living room and studio; most of the 2BRs at BWV which have a Murphy bed in the studio of the 2BR lock-off, and by next April all of the 2BRs at BWV will have that arrangement as its refurbishment is ongoing and should be completed by then. BCV will be refurbished next year to add the Murphy bed to the studios and when done its 2BR lock-offs will sleep 9. Poly has no 2BR villas, only studios and the 2BR bungalows which sleep 8, buts it's studios have the Murphy bed and you can get connecting studios and thus sleep up to ten.

In other words, SSR is becoming the lone WDW resort whose 2BR villas will not sleep nine.

In addition to the above great info ... Kidani and BLT 2BR would have 3 full bathrooms.

We had 9 in the 2 bedroom at AKV. 5 adults and 4 children and we were comfortable and had our space.
The 3 bathrooms are what really made it work.

We did 9 in a 2br at VGC once - 6 adults, 3 kids. We never would have done it without 3 bathrooms, and it would be doubtful we'd do it again. We were the owners and the ones that took the family room. It kind of felt like we didn't have the private space that the other 2 families had because we were in the communal space with the kitchen, laundry, dining table.
