DH and I are taking our lo's down to WDW for the first time and while we are there we are going to have the disney babsitting service watch the kiddos. SOOOO, we get one date night out!!! :cool1::cool1: :dance3::dance3:

So, where would you go? We will only have about 4 hours. We are going to put the kids down so that they are not frighten by anyone new and will leave as soon as they go down. Some from about 8-midnight is all ours kids free.

I definitely want to do dinner and my DH loves steak (he's a MN boy!) so I was thinking Yachtmans Steak house (we are staying at BWV's) but is there a better choice? Also what would you do after dinner?

Help me plan a great night out! ~~~because even at home we hardly get out so this will be extra special!

Thanks :thumbsup2

If you plan on paying OOP for the meal, I would check out the menus of some of the nearby restaurants that aren't on the dining plan. Since you are going for a date evening, I might try the Bistro in France? I would bet there would be few children in there, it would probably feel very date-ish.

It would be close by the BCV so you could maximize your time. Afterward, you could wander around the WS for a bit. I might be tempted to grab something nice to drink and hang out on the Beach area with my honey. That time alone is precious, I would maximize it by trying to find those cozy places that would let you have some real quality time together.

Me and DH went to the Yachtsman's Steakhouse on our honeymoon last year, and it was by far our best restaurant experience! :goodvibes We also did Le Cellier, which we found highly over-rated, and the tables practically on top of each other.

Yachtsman was quiet, well-spaced tables, great atmosphere, and service was above reproach. Oh, did I mention the steaks were absolutely wonderful!! DH had the Porterhouse, and I had the Oak-Fired Ribeye, they were both cooked to perfection.

Enjoy yourselves on your date night!!

Our last Disney date night was Raglan Road. They have an great band after 8PM, a step dancer who does sets on a raised stage in the center of the tables, awesome drinks, and delicious food. Plus, we got to wander Downtown Disney after dinner.

Neither of us had their steak, though, so I can't tell you how good that was. The appetizers and Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding were some of the best food we ate at Disney.

FYI -- shula's and i think blue zoo offer free sitting at their kid's club with the purchase of two adult entrees. Easily a $40 value for 2 hours and two kids.

My DH and I are doing the same thing this trip! Our DD 14 will be staying at our resort with our younger two though. We will put them to bed as well. THe night we choose is my 30th B-day! And it just happens that Epcot has evening EMH that night so it worked out perfect! I can't give you suggestions as to the restaurant, but we plan to slowly walk around the world showcase, and to check out the Boardwalk. And do whatever we want! :thumbsup2 Enjoy your night out!!!

Great ideas, everyone! Thanks and DUH  totally forgot about Shula's!! and didnt know about the babysitting. Although, my kids being so young need their sleepy time so Im not sure we could have a babysitter take care of them that late.

IMHO... I would plan a dinner out at YC vs. Shulas (Check out menus)...

THen head to BW for Dueling Pianos and Atlantic Dance Hall... Make sure you plan a minute or two on the BW for the entertainment there... games... YOu can view some of Illuminations from BC but that's NOT the best view ever... just a good view...

Have a magical night !

I guess it's a matter of preference...I've heard a lot of good things about Shula's too, but I'm not too impressed with their menu. I have no doubt what they cook is fantastic. I just don't see much on their menu that I'd want over YC. YC was the best steak we had on our honeymoon....barring Emeril's at City Walk. I think the steak there was the best i EVER had.

Going to check out the menus now! I think it's perfect timing since I just got done with dinner! I can make a good solid judgement! :rotfl:
