9 days 2 resorts FREE Dining Christmas Lights & a bouncing Tigger who stole my heart

Great trip report... I just read it from start to finish... good thing I didn't have to work today....

Glad you guys had a nice meal at Olivia's!

We had a bunch of snack credits left over last year when we stayed at CBR. When I was at OPR using up our snack credits, the CM actually asked me if I had any CS credits left over because they would let me trade them in for snack credits. I think it was 2 snacks per CS credit. I didn't have any left so it didn't matter, but I think it's interesting that it varies by resort.

Thanks Amy! :)

Yeah, I'm a little confused on the DDP credit thing too. :confused3 You would think it would be the same across the board.

I forgot you went to Olivia's!!!

I remember now--- that Chicken looks really really good!

Weird about the CS credits-- but at least you got some ham sandwiches- good thinking! I would'v ejust let them expire... 'cause I'm dumb like that.:lmao:

Oooh- Light Saber Battle of Epic proportions!!! I do hope the good guys won in the end!
;)
Too cute.

Thanks for another wonderful update!

So sad that you only have one day left!

Me? A PTR? Whatever would I write about? You'd be my only reader!:lmao:

Jo

You know I am way too cheap to let any DDP credits go to waste!! :rotfl:

Glad you enjoyed the update. :goodvibes Yes, of course the good guys won the lightsaber battle!

I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to read your PTR. . . Sea would be there too! :thumbsup2

I like the light saber pics with your boys - too cool. Good looking food at Olivia's - glad to hear it was a great tasting meal. Great update!

BTW - we waved at you when we flew over that night - but you were probably still asleep at 5:00 a.m. :lmao:

Sea

Thanks Sea! :)

I thought about you guys during the trip, but had forgotten exactly when it was that you'd be flying over us. Yes, we were definitely sleeping at 5:00am!

Great trip report... I just read it from start to finish... good thing I didn't have to work today....

Hey Wendy!

Wow you read the whole thing at once! :faint: Glad you enjoyed it! :goodvibes

Great review of Olivia's and trip update! The food looks really good. Does anything come with the meal, like a salad? Was that soup I saw in one of the pics?

Good thinking about the CS credits. It took some work on your part, but at least you didn't have to waste them.

Cute pictures of the boys with their light sabres!

I would read JoBird's trip report and pre trip report ! :surfweb::)

The pasta at Olivia's looks yummy to me, I like that the restaurant was quite, OKW does look peaceful.
I had only heard negative or blah reviews, but I think it looks like a quaint on site place to relax and eat without chaos!
Thanks for sharing.

P.S. I still have not told dd about Herbie, she did just say she wants Herbie as her first car! So I hope we're able to get in and see him. I wish there was a whole show about him, we just watched the movie again and he is one tough car!

Shelly - I guess Friday the 13th was pretty lucky. Your food looked good - I would have ordered that pasta your DH got! Love the lightsaber battle!! I suppose that's one good thing about being out there all by yourselves!
Good score on the sandwiches. Very smart!!

JoBird - I'd read your PTR. I would make time for it!

The picture of you and DH outside of Olivia's is a great one!

Good deal using up those credits- you guys had lots of treats to eat up!

I was wondering about CS desserts at CBR. Last trip we got the little cakes with each meal but after a while we were kind of tired of cheesecake, chocolate, pineapple upsidedown, you know the ones in the case next to all the food places. Is it possible to get different dessert by walking over to the grab n go? DH would love chips or something instead and I would like fruit or something. Is that allowed?

No, I don't think a salad came with the meals. Probably could have ordered one I suppose, but it wasn't included. One of the kids did get a bowl of soup with his meal. . . I think it was DS8. . . Only got it because it came with his meal, had no intention of eating it. . . I'm pretty sure DS10 ate it!

See JO - Drakes would read your PTR & TR!! :thumbsup2

DH said his pasta was very good. We were very happy with Olivia's.

I hope you are able to see LMA and that your DD loves it!

Yes, with the exception of our room assignment at OKW, Friday the 13th was a pretty good day! :)

JO ~ Another reader for you! :goodvibes

I'm not sure exactly what was allowed as a dessert on the DDP at CBR, but I do remember going to the grab n go to get them. I just asked the CM there and she was very helpful. I do remember there being a lot of choices. I really liked that pineapple upside-down cake!

Loved your pics of Olivia's! I hadn't heard much about it there...but it looks good!
So, we changed our dates (AGAIN!) We are going May 1-8 and staying at the Boardwalk! We found out DD8's grade has state testing the next week after our March dates, so she would miss all of the review...but we got all of the ADR's we wanted for May, except Le Cellier (which may be a good thing after your report:rotfl:!)
Looking forward to the rest of your TR!

Saturday November 14th ~

Our last full day at Disney. We originally had an 8:00am ADR at Crystal Palace on this day. But after having 2 big breakfasts two days in a row and the fact that no one wanted to get up at 6:30am, we decided the day before to cancel it. DH and I even thought about not going to MK that day. The winds from Ida were finally supposed to be gone and it was supposed to be a sunny beautiful 82 degree day. We would have been content to spend the day at OKW & DTD. The kids thought about it, but there were a few things at MK that we hadn't done when we were there earlier in the week, plus they really wanted to get mini corn dogs at Casey's Corner for lunch.

So we got up around 7:30 and got ready. The kids were being funny. Or so they thought! :rotfl:

We got to MK around 9:00. It was more crowded than it had been earlier in the week, but still not bad. We headed straight for Fantasyland. We took the path to the right around the castle. I think last time we went left. Anyone know which way is faster?

And then Mickey's Philharmagic, with no wait. I just love this show!

DisneyNovember20091077.jpg

Since we had already done Pooh, the Carousel, and the Tea Cups, we skipped them. No one was interested in Dumbo or Snow White this time. Normally we would head to Mickey's Toontown next, but the boys wanted to go to the HAUNTED MANSION instead!! They just loved this ride now!! There was also no wait for the HM.

It was a little after 10:00 now and we needed to be up at the front of the park at 10:30 to get our boarding passes printed off at customer relations. So we slowly walked through Liberty Square and down Main Street to the front of the park.

Poor DS8 couldn't quite reach ~

Not sure who the little girl is in this picture, but apparently her mother couldn't wait 2 seconds for us to take our picture and sent her right over. :confused3

Up Next: Shopping, lunch, and Splash Mountain!

May is a wonderful time to go!! :cool1: If I ever go again in May it will be the first week. Congrats on the BWI!! :woohoo: That is awesome. I forget, where were you staying before? That's so great that you got most of the ADR's you wanted!! Hopefully that means it's not going to be crowded for you! :wizard:

Wow what wonderful pictures you got!
Sorry about the little girl in your shot with your DH. how dumb. If she's a DISer I hope she hangs her head in shame.

:lmao:

This was an awesome update but I'm sad to read about your printing off the boarding passes. I don't want it to be over! We've all enjoyed it so very much.

It looked like it was a bit more crowded on that day than the others. Did it feel that way?

Thanks for the update. Looking foreard to the rest. Sniff!

Jo

PS--- thanks to everyone who said they'd read my TR! :lovestruc
I just don't know if I have enough to talk about for a PTR for almost 4 months. Maybe when it gets a bit closer to me leaving. I'm sure I could find something to say. I never seem to be at a loss for words.:rolleyes1

Thanks! :goodvibes

Thanks! We originally were staying at the GF. But, we love the EPCOT area so much and the convenience of walking to EPCOT and DHS, so we picked BWI! We have never been in May...so hopefully it won't be all that crowded!
MK looked great for your last full day in Disney! The weather looks like it was beautiful!

Love the shot of your son's booty!! :rotfl:

Too bad about the girl in your castle picture. It was perfect otherwise. Her eyes were shut anyway!

Jo - I didn't do a PTR and now I am doing the TR and had to make everyone suffer reading about my planning etc. Just do the PTR, and take your time - do an update about something every week or so! We will be chatty enough to fill up the months!

It can't be ending this soon!!! Say it isn't so! :sad2:

Hi Shelly. :) I followed you over from my TR and though yours is almost over, I still wanted to say hello. I'm going back to the beginning and try to get caught up. You have a beautiful family! November has been my favorite time to go so far. :)

Thank you JO!

You know, I was thinking after I posted that picture that I sure hope it wasn't anyone here on the DIS! :rotfl:

It was very sad printing off our boarding passes. Never did it before at a park, usually do it at the resort.

Yes, the park felt more crowded that day. You could tell it was a weekend. But we still didn't encounter any long wait times!

Oh that's right, you were staying at the GF. I hear you on loving the Epcot area!! :goodvibes We will definitely stay in that area one day soon! I think it will be so convenient.

We have been twice in May -- Mother's Day week both times. It wasn't very crowded at all!

MK looked great for your last full day in Disney! The weather looks like it was beautiful!

It was absolutely beautiful that day. Sunny and 82. :cloud9: And there were no more crazy winds!! :faint:
LaLa~~~

You will love May!!!!:goodvibes

::yes::

Yes Jo -- what she said! :thumbsup2

Still a little more TR left. :yay:

Hey Kelli! :goodvibes Thank you!

Welcome to my TR, I hope you will enjoy!

I don't blame you for wanting to go back to MK! The pics show just what a beautiful day it was! :sunny: That sky - how blue can you get? And I don't think I could stay away from going to a park on my last day.

That is so awesome that your boys are now big Haunted Mansion fans. So now which attractions are ones that they are too young for or don't want to try? Maybe they'll be ready for those on your next trip. :thumbsup2

I don't know a whole lot about computers or photography, but is it possible to photoshop the little girl out of the picture? It is such a great pic of you and DH, you should have it framed. And placed next to the one of you and Tigger!

Finally all caught up. Excellent report Shelly. We are all enjoying it.
Miss Emmy has been reading it with me, and saying with each picture of the boys.."there's our fountain friends again" haha

I'm so sorry about your meal at Le Cellier.
How disappointing. :sad1:
