9 days 2 resorts FREE Dining Christmas Lights & a bouncing Tigger who stole my heart

:rotfl:
Imaginary trips are the best-- because you get alllllll the good stuff without any of the bad.;) --- You know--- nasty food, bad resort room location, none of the things you requested, frogs in your room, oh yeah and a bill to pay too boot!

Imagine on, my friend!!!:goodvibes

True :lmao:

Thank you for this post! :goodvibes Just what I wanted to hear. I really want to take advantage of the 40% off a deluxe PIN!! And I want to make sure to make the right decision when I do so.

That is exactly what I am afraid of at the SAB pool. It just looks like it would be hard to keep track of the kids. Not to sound lazy or anything, DH & I do go in the water with them. But a lot of times they want to stay in longer than us and we just want to lounge in a chair and watch them! I am afraid the SAB pool wouldn't be very relaxing. I guess I am used to the moderates where you can see the slide entrance & exit from the same spot.

I keep getting the same answer everywhere about the balconies at BWI. I was just on the WDW website messing around pricing out things and the Chat box popped up. So I asked the CM there. She said - I don't know for sure, but it appears that they have a full balcony. Same thing when I called Disney to ask earlier this week. So hopefully they are all the big ones!

Would you happen to know if DS8 would be allowed to wear a life jacket on the slide at BWI?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions sooner or later! :rotfl:

I have never had experiences with life jackets at the BWI, but I don't see why that would be a problem! I actually think that I remember seeing some kids with life jackets. I can't help you as to where you would rent one---I'm sorry! I agree with you about the BC pool, with the BWI pool, it is easy to keep track of the kids. With SAB, you really have to be either swimming with the kids or walking along the pool to keep a close eye on them. I'm not trying to sound lazy either, but that is just what my experience was! Let me know if you have any more questions!

I'm so glad you loved Illuminations! It's one of our favorite things that we actually missed last year! I loved seeing your pictures but it sure made me "homesick" for Disney. I've definately been having one of those imaginary vacations, every day! Hopefully we can plan a late fall or early winter trip for 2010! Free dining would be a great excuse to go...:confused3

Those are great shots of Illuminations! I'll have to look for that spot on Friday night...:rolleyes1

And the frog...:scared1:

It looks like you had a wonderful evening at BRG and Epcot. IllumiNations ranks right after Wishes for me. I have the cd and the music is amazing!!! I know this sounds weird, but IllumiNations was spectacular to watch in the pouring rain (with ponchos of course). We could stand wherever we wanted and the rain just added a little extra excitement somehow.

I know the BC/YC doesn't allow life jackets on their slide because it is enclosed. But the kids were able to wear them on CBR's enclosed slide. :confused3 So I just wonder that the rule is at BWI? From what I can gather looking at the pictures it is only 3 1/2 ft deep at the bottom of the slide, so DS10 would be okay. DS8 is of course taller than that too, but would feel more secure with a life jacket.

I'm sure I'll think of lots more BW questions for you!! Hey, maybe if you have any pictures you could PM them to me? :goodvibes

We usually go back and forth with Fantasmic & IllumiNations on each trip. So next time it would be Fantasmic's turn. But I'm not sure I want to miss Illuminations! Looks like we might have lots of late nights next time!

I bet they will offer free dining next fall. :wizard:

Real patient, aren't you?! Just kidding. I appreciate your enthusiasm! :thumbsup2

I'm going to try to get started on our DHS day (Tues Nov 10) soon! :cool1:

Just cleaning, laundry, and shopping this morning. Plus I have my step-mom's Tastefully Simple party tonight. :upsidedow

Okay, I am super mad right now.:mad::mad:

I just had a huge update all typed up with lots of pictures and it disappeared into thin air! :sad2:

So sorry, no update this afternoon. I don't have time to do it all over right now.

UGH! :headache:

I HATE it when that happens! I usually type everything up in Word first and then transfer it because I've lost so much. Too bad I didn't do that the other night.

I think the DIS is whacko right now!

Okay, let's try this again. . . .

Tuesday November 10th ~

This was the day I was most looking forward too. I just LOVE DHS! The plan was to get there before rope drop. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We got up in time, were just too slow getting ready I guess. And we had to wait on a bus a little longer than anticipated. We pulled up to DHS right before 9:00. It was a partly sunny day and would reach 80 degrees! But still very windy. We stopped quickly to look at the giant Christmas tree and then headed for security/bag check.

Got through security and the entrance fairly quickly. We headed straight for TSM. It was about 9:10 when we got there and the wait time said 5 minutes. Great!! :woohoo: Too bad we actually waited 25. The whole time we were in line I was thinking that we should have just gotten fastpasses and gone to RNRC. But eventually we did make it onto the ride and it was a blast! The kids rode together and DS10 won. DH and I rode together and I kicked his butt!!

Continued. . .

From there we headed to RNRC. The best ride ever!! :thumbsup2 The wait time was 30 minutes. Not bad for about 9:45am. But since DS8 & DH don't ride this we decided to get fastpasses and come back in a little bit. I tried to talk DS10 into riding TOT since we were right there and the wait time was only 10 minutes, but it was a no go! He does high and fast, but he doesn't do scary. :confused3

So we decided to head to the Great Movie Ride next. We hadn't done this one since our very first trip in 2005. The boys didn't like it then, but I was sure they would love it now. And they did!! Back in 2005 they thought it was loud and scary with the guns and all. But now my kids are loud & always running around with a Star Wars Clone Trooper gun!! I think we waited about 10 minutes for this ride.

Just so you know, I am NOT one of those people who takes flash pictures when the ride and/or CM's clearly say - No Flash Photography! But I did decide to turn my flash off this time and see how it would work. I wasn't expecting much, that's why I had never tried it before. But to my surprise I got lots of great shots with no flash, today and throughout the rest of the trip!

From there we headed back to RNRC. It was time for our fastpasses already!! DH & DS8 stayed behind to walk around and check some things out and look in some shops. DH tried to take DS into Playhouse Disney, but he wasn't interested. Too cool I guess! DS10 and I walked clear through an empty fp line and got to the front where they tell you which room to go into and the line stopped. We stood there for about 20 minutes and didn't budge. There were apparently some issues with the ride. The regular line wasn't moving either. We were finally let into the preshow room. The dialog was messed up during the preshow and there was a CM in the back with a microphone filling in the blanks. Weird. Once we finally got on the ride itself we sat there for longer than normal waiting for take off. Then when the countdown began it went - 3, 2, and then we took off!! No 1. :confused3 That was surprising! The ride was awesome as always but the sound was cutting in and out the entire time. Kind of ruined the experience. But we had 2 more fastpasses and figured we would wait for later to use them and hope that it was fixed by then. On the way out I tried once again to get DS10 to ride TOT, but nope!

By now it was around 11:00 and I didn't have any breakfast and DH & the kids had a very small breakfast in the room. So we were all getting hungry. I called DH to see where they were. We thought about just grabbing something from all the stands there in front of TOT, but again with all the wind eating outside wasn't really a great option. He said he was over by ABC Commissary, so we said we would just meet him there.

Up Next: ABC Commissary, more fun at DHS, and would they ever get RNRC fixed today? :rolleyes1

Great Report!! I love the pics of POR we are thinking about going there soon. And you are so right RnR is the best ride ever!!!

Thank you! :goodvibes Glad you are enjoying the report.

Yes, RNRC is awesome!! :cool1: DS10 makes me do the "rock on" sign everytime for the ride photo!:rotfl:

I love DHS---great update! About those Boardwalk pictures, my computer crashed back in May and I lost all of my pictures:mad: Thank goodness I have a bunch printed out, but I am still very upset! I feel so bad...I wish I could show you some pics! BTW, we decided on YC in November! :cool1: Boardwalk was definitely in consideration, but we just wanted to try somewhere new!

Thanks!

That stinks that you lost all those pictures. That makes me think I really should get my pics on a CD so that doesn't happen to me someday.

YAY for the YC in November!! :cool1: What week are you looking at? We sure are hoping to go next November too. The same week as this year!

We are looking at Saturday the 6th through Saturday the 13th! Who knows, that may change, but those dates are what we booked last night!

You know that the 7th is the day we turn the clocks back, right? Which means an extra hour in WDW!! :cool1::rotfl: But also means that I will be screwed up from the time change the entire week. I don't know why it messes me up so bad. This year we arrived a week after the time change and I was still messed up for about 3 days into the trip. When it got dark so early I was suddenly tired and felt like we should be back at the resort rather than in the parks! :confused3 Good thing I came out of my funk by Tuesday and we were able to enjoy DHS all day and well past dark!! :goodvibes
