Ok I need to vent!!!

I got this really cute scrapbook bag as a gift not long ago. Well the handle broke off into tiny pieces, one side is missing, one side is still up. I can't open the bag all the way anymore. It was a miachels exclusive so I went to return it Not wanting a refund, but store credit for a new bag. After going through 3 people I was told since I did not have a reciept they could not take it back, I was stuck with a broken bag. I left really upset because the third manager handled it very badly. He said they only take returns for 90 days with a reciept. I asked what is it was a gift, he said you HAD to have the reciept.

I can't afford a new scrapbook bag so I will have to see what I can do to make this one work!!! Anyone know how to get half a handle back down into a bag or out?


Sorry needed to vent. I am very upset!

And my day only got worse!!!

Oh and Matt was the one who broke the bag!

One of these days, I want to do all 3 Ireland, Scotland, and England. But I have to get up the nerve to drive on the wrong side of the road.

What about Wales ?????

There's nothing wrong with driving on the wrong side of the road, I do it every time we go to America, France and Spain Seriously though, after a couple of minutes you stop thiking about it.

Everyone was hoping for a better ending. But it was strange, while on the Nov cruise I had a sense of peace to wash over me. I knew that he was ok and was at peace. A few days after I got back, I got the call that he had been found.

Crystal, I'm sorry to hear about your friend and Clayton's.


Steph: I really think I could handle driving on the wrong side. It's the round abouts, and making a turn that would throw me off. I have your email address, but nothing else.

Tigger: Sorry to hear about your bag. Ok this is wrong, but it could work. Buy you another bag, keep the papers. Go to a different store and then return the broken one using the papers from the new one.

Cheryl and Steph: I would love to go! I'll have to see how things go.

David: Wales is also included on that list. When that trip happens, I would want it to be at least a month long or longer. Actually we drive on the RIGHT side of the road.

Fantastic photo of Claire, she looks all warm and wrapped up. The fact that it's been snowing in Texas has been on the BBC news over here - not that regular an occurance apparently?

We have had VERY unusual weather the last week or so... And we still have a chance of more snow! It is very weird to have such cold weather that last more then a day or so.....
And it has been cold with ice/snow sooooo far south!!! San Antonio (5 hrs south of here) had to close a major interestate because of ice! It would be like snow in Orlando! LOL!

I'm assuming that none of your family was blown away????

Obviously our gales made the news in the USA ???

Our only loss was a nine foot tree. The gales were so bad they kept me awake most nights. There have been lots of accidents due to fallen trees and damaged property and sadly I believe around the country, nine people were killed.

On my usual road to work on Thursday I noticed a lorry lying in a field that had been blown over. The winds have subsided now but it is still very cold.

As we live on the coast, the salt air means that we very rarely have snow however where we are from in Wales heavy snow was an annual event with nothing moving for a few days each year. I certainly remember the Army digging towns out on more than one occasion when I was younger.

When I was very young ( age 2 - 5 1/2) we lived in Great Lakes, IL and I remember one time the snow being as high as our 2nd story window (I don't think that is *usual*) it made a real impression on me! LOL!!! I did live in several places that it snowed pretty good! LOL! But, I prefer to *visit* snow.

I got an email this evening from another one of our 10nt cruisers -- she didnt' post alot but, her family were our tablemates. And they are hoping to do a CA cruise -- a repo if the price is right!

I told her that there were several of us on the board who are thinking the same way.......

Scratch Paris and that is what I would like to do, also! Jon and the 3 oldest kids have all been to Germany -- not together but, at different times. My dad goes to Germany at least a couple of times a year. I suppose I would HAVE to go to Germany....at least for a few days.

My dad's grandparents came over from Germany (they were children at the time... I think....I'ld have to go look that up in the info I have...)

Y'all are going to have SO MUCH FUN next summer! Doing Ireland AND the Med repo!!!! With Katherine's wedding fast approaching I knew there was no way I could fit a med cruise in! LOL! But, the deals on the repo were good!
