At the moment there are loads of threads on the Cruise Line Forum all dedicated to the Summer 2008 cruises. I've spent ages reading them, there seems to be so much excitement about the cruises.

I've decided to take the 31st of January off. As we have two different phone lines I will phone DCL on one and Helen will use the other. Also, as there is a five hour time diiference, booking opens for us at a more respectible time of 1:00pm.

I've decided to take the 31st of January off. As we have two different phone lines I will phone DCL on one and Helen will use the other. Also, as there is a four hour time diiference, booking opens for us at a more respectible time of mid-day.

Hi David, Tell Helen to keep posting.:flower3: We like hearing from you too!!! :thumbsup2 Are you going to use Castaway number or regular DCL number? :confused3 I think I am going to do cell phone in one hand and land line in the other hand.:woohoo:

 I think the different dates when the repo cruise will take place are driving me crazy:crazy: I just know we want Ca to Florida!!! I will be up at 7:00am. with my redial finger ready.:rotfl:

Stephanie and I talked the other night. Were your ears ringing??? We only said nice things about all of you.

Did you ever get pictures?? Since we do have reliable postal, I can send a CD of the last cruise if you would like???

Just got back from doing my job(going to the movies).I better get some sleep as I am babysitting tomorrow for my 2 Granchildren.:rolleyes1

There's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's NOT being talked about so carry on !!!

Helen has been in a whirl since all this news came out - I just wish the flight from London to LA didn't take so long.

As much as we would like to have joined in the CD photos, I decided against it in the end due to either the CD getting damaged in the post or by magnets /x-rays etc at the airport.

Well...you miss a few days on the boards and EVERYONE's back!!!!

Hello Helen, Dawn and Wan!

I guess I picked up that there will be an eastern and western repo cruise, along with 7-day cruises during the summer of '08? That repo sounds like fun, but I know Clayton couldn't get two weeks off work. I don't know that Carlin could do a 14-day either with school starting about mid-Aug...that might be a bit too many days off school. I would have to cruise alone. Y'all have fun! I'll be with you in spirit:goodvibes.

Right now, we are in the middle of yet another ice storm. So far so good...we lost power for about 3 1/2 hours in the early AM hours. It came back on about 9:15 AM. About 100,000 are without power now. The next wave of ice is due to start sometime tonight, with round 3 scheduled for Sunday! Enough already:furious: !

Well...I'm starting to work on taxes tonight...better get back to it!

WOW!!!

I am so disappointed!!! I highly doubt we will be able to do a 14 night cruise.

I told my parents and said they doubt they will go but I still want to see DL, SW, and Universal At least. I can't do that and a 14night cruise.:guilty: :sad2:

I highly doubt we will be able to do a 14 night cruise.
We won't be either- I am too terrified to try that with 1 yr old! I am due 6/8/07... we'll try when (s)he is 18 months. ;)

Hi Crystal! How are Clayton & Carlin? Keep safe and warm in that crazy weather! :goodvibes

I invited a lady named Arlene to join our chatting. I met her over the phone when I was having trouble with my Disney Visa. Actually my card did not give me problems, United Airlines did. I was charged About $2,300 per ticket instead of $150. Visa owed me about $4300. The tickets were for economy for September. I told United I only wanted 2 seats not 25 seats. I called to check for my credit and we started talking Disney. She is also a Diser from other threads. She might consider the Panama too.

I guess I would not attempt it either. We will miss you not going. I think we had the best disers ever on our boat.:thumbsup2

I actually have a little work to do. Talk later.:hourglass

Long time no chat!!

Hope everyone is doing ok. I have been a busy bee for the past few months and haven't had time to slow down to even post.

Quick run down:

I did the cruise with my mother and grandmother. OMG! I now know why people get tossed over board. By the time we hit St. Thomas I was ready to fly home. I can't tell you much about the ship or what we did. I've got a few pictures I'll try to upload. A little advice, if someone is 77 years old, deathly afraid of water, never been outside of the country and has no social skills, LEAVE THEM AT HOME!!

Just and example of one of the events: My dad gave my grandmother and I $100 to play in the casino. Now I don't do the gambleing thing, So I did what any normal women would do. I took that money and ran to the store. Now my grandmother went with my mother to the casino. We were all expecting her to play a few rounds in the slots. But did that happen? Oh no! She cashed that bill in and filled up her bucket with her 400quarters and then proceeded to go through them all looking for the state quarters she didn't have. :rolleyes1

Christmas hit with all the fan fair that one could only understand if one has an extremely huge family!

I finally got moved back home, after months of remodel. Still got a few more months to go, but that is on hold for a bit.

I rocked the New Year in with a fine case of the MUMPS!!

I leave for Ireland on March 23rd and that is fast coming up on me.

What is this I'm reading about a reunion cruise? What are the W's on it?

Welcome back !!

Sounds like you've been having lots of fun !!! :lmao:

I think people with no social skills whatsoever are very amusing - I could watch them for hours. I have a friend with no such skills and originally I was reluctant to be in the same room as him but now I just let him go !!

By the way, Happy New Year !!

I found the info on another thread. Now the Mystery is fianally over. A 15 day is better than 14 day.:cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes party: :grouphug:

Hey Cheryl!
I finally found you. DCL emailed me earlier about the dates. I thought it wouldn't be released til later but when we came back from the Drs, I saw it was already there. We are thinking about putting down the deposit. Does anyone know if you cancel , do you get back the trip insurance?

I saw this question and answer on another thread and the answer is that you don't get the insurance back. If your deposit was on a Cat 1 - 3 you will lose the deposit as well.

Hi Arlene, Glad you joined us. I never got an e-mail about the new cruises??
I feel hurt.:sad1: I sure hope you put down a deposit. I just hope there will be room for everyone that wants to do the EB Panama.

I talked to Stephanie tonight and she said she would hopefully start our new thread!!:grouphug: I thought she  did a great job running the board for our 10 Day Wonder Cruise.:woohoo:

Does anyone else wish the prices were posted for the cat. 5, 6, 7, 8,9,10,11,and 12. :confused3 Now it will take twice as long to make reservations while we have to make sure we are all within our price range.

Amy, maybe you can answer Arlenes question. You are the TA we all trust with the right answers.:flower3:

David, You must have been going crazy like I was for 2 days. I saw sooo many posts on lots of threads.

Hopefully we can start talking on a new board soon.

Cheryl

Nite. Sleeping in late tomorrow. Will catch up with ya

We did too! :)

Sorry I haven't been around as much :rolleyes1 19 weeks now (can it be that long ago since we were on board? And I am expanding  Plus we have decided to put our house up and move to a bigger one, but we are so hoping to take a December 2008 cruise for our 10th anniversary with all 3 kids. :) Is anyone else planning for 12/08 or is everyone lookign for summer 2008? :goodvibes

Dawn! I can't believe it's been that long already! Where did the time go? :confused3

I feel for you moving doing your pregnancy! We moved into this house when 15dd was 3 wks (almost 16yrs ago!) luckily we didn't have to sell our other house -- we rented it/sold it to my mom since she was downinsizing - so, I didn't have to hassle with that! ;)

Have fun! LOL!

I really want to go on the repo but, Jon still hasn't commited one way or the other..... He doesn't know what he'll be doing at work a year and a half in advance! LOL! A year in advance ...yes.... 18 months... no..... UGH!!!!!

I really wish they had announced this closer to the end of this summer.... It really would have worked out better for me. :rotfl:

Helen has been in a whirl since all this news came out - I just wish the flight from London to LA didn't take so long.

David

Isn't that the truth! LOL! The usual time for a flight to Hong Kong from here (with one stop) is 15-20hrs... One time dh got stuck on the plane for more the 24hrs!!!! They had to make an emergency landing in Tiawan but, nobody was allowed to leave the plane. I would have been driven crazy! LOL!

I hope y'all don't have anymore bad weather!!!!

We have had our share this week -- really it's been quite weird!!!!!! I don't reemmber when we have ever had this many really cold days in a row!!! Our *usual* temps for this time of year are in the 50's.... And we are supposed to get more rain/ice tomorrow -- I really hope that doesn't ahppen since we are supposed to go to THE DOODLEBOPS tomorrow at 12:30!

We CAN'T miss that! :goodvibes Samantha (15) is looking just as forward to it as Claire (5) is! LOL!
