What a great deal at CVS..... I had already had my cruise photos developed BUT, about 50 of them came out too dark. :sad2: On the computer you can see them just fine (things like the pirate pics) but, when they printed them they are solid black.
I had the same trouble but I took them to Sams Club and they printed the dark pictures which turned out fine. You have to do the one hour where they pull them off the card or disc. I am almost ready transferring all the photos on one CD. :thumbsup2 I will get some mailers for the CD's.

Sorry I have been so busy with 4 birthdays in my family. My DD,DS,DGD, And then DH. I hope things slow down now.

I started doing more crafts. I just made pilgrims from paper twist. Has anyone worked with paper twist. It is a lot of work. :rolleyes1

I loved the halloween pictures. Here is a picture of my granddaughter's 2 year old birthday /Halloween party. She is defintely a princess. :sunny: :lovestruc

Amy, with so many new experiences for your grandmother, be sure to show her how to get onto a discussion board and if she plays her cards right, she might be able to land a whole bunch of FREE UNDIES !!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:  :cool1: :cool1:

Now that's FUNNY!!!

Hi everyone

We've been to a Bonfire Night Party this evening and as I write this there are still fireworks going off everywhere. As tomorrow is actually "Guy Fawkes" night it will probably be even louder tomorrow night.
I notice there's a party in the UK area at Epcot tomorrow for the celebrations.

I took a photo of Alex & Bethan (and the dog) before they went out on Halloween in their costumes. It was a bit of a washout here as it felt as though it was blowing a gale! By the end of the evening we only had six sets of children who knocked our door and in my mask I only managed to scare two of them. :rotfl:

Anyway, here's the photo

The mother of the family that won the Keys To The Kingdom contest is a Dis member. She has done a trip report of what all they got to do. If anyone is interested here is the LINK. But be warned, you are going to need tissue.

OMG, Every time I watch the video, I start to cry and giggle at the same time. The sight of the 13 yr DS hugging Mickey Mouse is spectacular.
Then in her TR there is a pic of this same DS hugging the daylights out of King Louie at AK. The DD's encounter with Cinderella brought out the tears again. The family truly seems to be the perfect choice for this gift.
After I read the entire site, I babbled at my DH for about an hour relating many of the special things that happened. I even had him smiling by the end.
Especially about being at the GF on concierge level (one of our dreams)
I'm babbling again! :Pinkbounc

Hi everyone,

I've been out of the loop a bit. I decided to take on a pt. time job and the new grocery store that opened near my house. It's just a few hours a week, but there was a training period that took more time than I thought it would. It will be extra money for the holidays, but it will eliminate my trip to ATL and probably Chicago too...for awhile. Sorry Amy and Cheryl, I was looking forward to seeing at least one of you soon.

Sooo much news....

Dawn congratulations on the "souvenier"! What a wonderful way to ALWAYS remember the fun of the cruise ;) !

Steph, Cheryl and David, great Halloween photos! Cheryl, your DGD is a doll!

Steph, thanks for posting more Pirate Party photos. If you have any others with my kids on them, feel free to post.

Cheryl, the formal night photo is great. Isn't Ducky a wonderful guy? Carlin still talks about him and all the items he signed.

I finally "cleaned up" (enhanced, lightened, cropped, etc.) the last of my digital photos. I had some that were pretty dark too, but I adjusted the contrast and brightness in the editing and they came out OK on Snapfish. I had a 20 photo credit, then found a HALLOWEEN code for 25 more free shots. My total for 63 photos...$3.73 (shipping + tax)! I already had the kids throw-away cameras developed at Walgreens when we returned. They were running a special on develop two camera, get one free. The cameras came with free CD coupons, so I didn't have to pay for those. We still have on more throw-away and two underwater disposables that still have shots remaining. By the end of the holidays we should use them up. I'm still working a bit on a digital slide show. It may take me awhile....this is my first one!

If any of you all played the Monopoly Mcdonalds game and still have the pieces go to playatmcd.com and enter them.

I so far have won 375 Free prints and free shipping from snapfish!!

I was hoping you might make it to Ikea before the holidays. We are going to hit 70 tomorrow. I have some nice pictures of us on formal night. I will still have to put them in photobucket and download. Always so much to say and never enough time. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the compliments of DGD. I forgot to say how great the kids looked for Halloween!!!

Before you know it, Christmas is around the corner.
I am finshed with presents and just have to wrap, I start in January and never stop til the crowds start. I hate to shop at the mall with crowds.

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving. :confused3 I have the honor of cooking this year for my family. :teeth: My DD takes turns with in-laws and this year is mine. I would be just as happy going to Boston Market for their turkey dinner. :rotfl2:

Maybe catch you on the board tomorrow.

Cheryl

Thank you sooo much!!!:Pinkbounc I just added 50 prints to my Snapfish account. This rocks!!!!

Ok I've got to vent!!

It seems that my grandmother was NEVER born! :rolleyes1 There is NO record of her ever being borned, ever being in a census. It seems she didn't exsist until her 1946 marriage. The state can't seem to find her birth certificate. What she has used all these years seems to just be where her parents registered with the census people. She has never been issued a real brith certificate. Now she is 77 years old and they want me to produce someone who was a witness to her birth?? :furious: Let me ask you, where am I suppose to pull them people out of??

The state said that her year had never been scanned or processed. They said it would take time that they had 4000 birth certificates to look through in some basement. Lovely! Just LOVELY!

Ok vent over! for now

Disney on Ice was ok, not great, but ok. I expected more and didn't get it. I like it when it's one or two large stories than it being broke down into 5 or 6 short ones.

This had
a very SHORT Finding Nemo
a very Short Beauty and the Beast
A middle to long introduction to all of the princess
A middle to long MULAN
A middle lenght Pinacchio
Jiminy Cricket hosted the show (which was funny as NONE of the kids knew who he was. :rotfl: )
A very very short Incrudable(sp) (so short it was pointless!)
A very nice tribute to "It's a Small World". (again the kids had not a clue, but for some of us that knows the story behind it we enjoyed it.)
A very short mickey mouse club moment. (again something that had to be explained to the kids.) :rotfl2:
a very short Lion King (with Simba in an outfit that was very NON-Disney :scared1: Let's just say it was so tight that it left NOTHING to the imagnation. :rotfl2: )
But for me the best thing was when they brought out all the characters again and then at the very end had Walt's voice come over the speakers saying it "It all began with a Mouse!" Then Mickey came running out. Ok yeah I'll admit I was a sap! I've never seen them do this before, but afterwards characters started interacting with the kids and came out into the crowd.

Isn't that the truth!!! :thumbsup2

And you are right the Grand Floridian is a wonderful resort -- we've never stayed int he main building but, we really enjoy the Sugar Loaf building. I thought the kids would enjoy the Poly but, after visiting there (for dinner & a breakfast) the kids said it was too loud and wanted to keep staying at GF. :)

Good luck with the new job! :thumbsup2 Last week while Elvis and I were shopping for new clothes for him (he's grown a couple of inches since the cruise!) I saw that the Disney store was hiring...... I used a TON of willpower to not ask for an application ;) With that big sign that says 30% discount....

I tell dh every once in a while that I may want a part time job at Office Depot -- who doesn't like office supplies?? -- it is the closeest store to my house. :teeth:

I know he is propably thinking *Good. She'll have more people to talk to....* :rotfl: :rotfl: I tell people that God gave me the youngest two so that I wouldn't have to live in a silent house.. :rotfl2: If it was only Jon & Samantha it would QUIET around here! LOL!
