Thanks again for the Pixie Dust and Prayers. Still no word as of yet. We are still trying to track down two people that he might have had contact with, but so far nobody knows how to contact either persons. All I have is first names and his family had never heard him talk about these people. My hope is he has gone off with one of these people and staying with them. We just don't know.

The bridge tour was also fascinating. It was given by Ian. Did anyone else notice how energetic Ian was? WOW. I keep remembering him and saying to myself that I too could have that much energy if I just tried. :yay:

DisneyGirlTinkerbell's Son and I have decided we are going to bottle Ian's energy up and sale it to the mass market. Did anyone notice at the "Until we see you again" party that when he was brought down, he was swamped with autograph books, by the kids. It was so cute. Babies that had been crying would go to him and start laughing. I was majorly inpressed with this guy.

He was amazing. We asked him about his energy and he said that he has an expresso drip while he sleeps. :)

The last day, NTwine was playing at the Goofy pool. Ian jumped into the pool in full costume with the kids and got them dancing in the pool. Later he was dancing on the side of the pool flinging water from his wet socks. :) Then we saw him jumping onto a stack of deck chairs and playing air guitar with a blow up pool shark. This is only a partial list of this man's antics. Ian is the best single asset the Disney Wonder has.

We talked to him. He said he had worked 2 years on the QE2 before working for Disney for 6 years. When we were all up on the deck watching the Magic go by, he said "My old home." I think I remember him from the Magic, performing that taxi driver for the "If I weren't upon the sea" skit. But I seriously don't remember this high energy level. Wow... Great job Ian, if you read the board. Somehow, I bet he even finds time to do that!!!

LOL just about everytime I saw him, he was soaking wet. I was sitting out by the goofy pool and he was in the pool playing with the kids. Next thing I know he's chasing some little boy around the hot tub. Now this boy was squealing at the top of his lungs. He wouldn't let Ian go. (Now that is what Disney is all about!) Another time at the tropical party he was out there dancing, and running around. Next thing I know he's jumped in the shower and is soaking wet again! Full uniform! He starts chasing these girls around the deck. They are having the time of their laugh. I'm walking around Castaway Cay. Ian comes up behind me soaking wet!! I'm talking dripping!!

An older lady was standing in the crowd beside us and Ian was being himself and the kids were having the time of their life. I'm not sure who this lady was, but her comment made me smile. She said that Ian was the type person that Walt would have loved.

Exactly. The highest possible complement goes to Ian. I had tears in my eyes when he encouraged a boy to dance. It was during a deck party, I think the Pirates one which was basically rained out. The boy, about 12 or so, was sitting on the stairs looking a little bored. Ian sat down beside him and started talking to him. A few minutes later, Ian was kicking his legs with the music from a sitting position on the steps. The boy soon started kicking, too. Soon Ian is up doing air guitar with the band and the boy joins him. Later we catch sight of the boy all by himself dancing and doing air guitar with the band. The guy from the band played air guitar back with the boy. I just wish someone like Ian had been a moment in my life when I was young and too shy to dance and join in.

Disney has changed our lives in the three cruises we have been on. They will have us on board every vacation that we can afford it. A big thanks goes to true Disney people like Ian.

We would love to hear more stories of Ian or other great cast members.

I agree Ian was :lmao:
At Castaway Cay my girls were in the ocean with us and he just walked on up and started chatting with us- IN THE OCEAN! :lmao:

Can someone repost the CD swap information? I have a ton I would love to include! :goodvibes

Yes... if we don't get that info. Please pm me and we can at least share with each other. I have hundreds of pictures. :)

Ian said he would love to do the Med next year, as it was port of calls he knows. I vote that Disney hooks him up!

I'm in the process of uploading my pictures to my photobucket account. When I get them done, I'll let everyone know and they can get them off that if they want them.

I'm Back

It was so cool to meet/talk to so many of you!!! Shelby already misses the Mickey boat and all the new friends she made.

Now I ask you -- is there any greater compliment one can give to a Disney cast member (or any Disney fan in general) than that?

Ian (a.k.a. "Lou Bricant" and "Ee-YON!!!!") was as much a character as Mickey and Goofy, and definitely a highlight of our cruise experience... but I also remember him leading an excursion group (I think it was the St. John island tour) and he was all serious business (wasn't even cracking a half grin). It was an amazing contrast -- almost as if he were two different people.

Amy, prayers and thoughts are with your friend. Also glad to see that you two FINALLY got back up here... :)

Cheryl & John, congratulations!

To everyone who showered our fish with gifts, THANK YOU!!!! :goodvibes Mac had us reading the Peter Pan book to him every night afterwards -- and even on the trip back home (not so easy for someone prone to reading-induced carsickness like myself)!

It was great to meet so many folks from the thread -- although we didn't get to meet as many as I'd have liked -- and a great cruise on which to meet y'all! I don't know what was my favorite part of the trip (though the PubQuest Jeopardy medal and the "A+" from Ducky were definitely up there).

And if you are a DISboards sponsor, moderator, administrator, or owner, you have GOT to be on Cloud 9 after Tom Wolber's presentation!!!! :thumbsup2

Ian was on the Magic for our PC cruise. He pretty much was never dry. It became a huge joke. AND, on the cast member talent show he did the Upon the sea act then too. Don't you just love it?

Uncle Servo, you are so right. The DISboard sponsers etc would have to be floating high on cloud 9 with his comment!

I would love to hook up with the picture CD as well.

hello everyone!

Well, I'm glad to see the thread is still active. It was wonderful meeting all of you and exchanging pixie dust (fish extender gifts). I, however, didn't find the "delivery" the best part of my trip :rotfl: . I needed a nap after delivering gifts.

Cheryl & John--Congrats on your new arrival!

Amy--Prayers and pixie dust that your friend will be found safe, just like little Abby was here in the St. Louis area. I'm sure most of you heard about the missing baby that was abducted and found yesterday.
Tell Sally we said hello.

Stephanie & Family--What can I say...you guys are awesome! Thanks for hosting the wine tasting..it was a blast! Jon, thanks again for the Patron tequilla. All the kids are wonderful...from Claire to Michael...each is special and quite talkative (unlike Stephanie's description prior to the cruise)! I had great conversations with them all.

Dena--what happened to you at high tea?

Steve & Michelle--It was great sharing the cruise with you and Shelby. What a sweetie! Kristy & Brandon --ditto for Juliette!

Linda, Jeff, Celia, Chipper, etc....I'm going to get in trouble if I try to list all the names. I would love to share cruise memories with all of you guys again.

This whole cruise was magical. I'm so happy I spent it with all my DIS friends. I'm going to start on my trip report tomorrow and start uploading photos.

And I'm trying to figure out why this person keeps bashing ME in his replies to you!!!!???? I can only assume it is because I would not sell my Cat 1 to him when he asked.... Yes, he PM'd me several times asking me how much I would take for it...... I don't need his money.

And BTW -- when the talk of the party in my stateroom first came up he asked me if he could be the one to arrange it with Concierge. I declined. I know how to arrange a party! LOL! And like dh said -- we could have hosted the party anywhere, including one of the decks. We had the space and thought it would be a fun way to meet people that we've spent months getting to know.

Did anyone here feel that I was trying to bribe people so that I would be *accepted*? LOL! He obviously has never met me. ;) I'm quite likable. :teeth:

:rotfl2: Now this is getting better and better!! Not only was it nice to have a space to ourselves, but it kept others out of the "cult". :lmao:

ok, all joking aside for the moment, did you see the ladies trying to grap stuff up off the table during the scrap booking!? I'm not sure what they were thinking. :sad2:

Steph,

When did I ever mention you? Only your minions did, not I. Funny how you now change your signature...Well, the conversation about your husband and his "status" with Disney speaks for itself, maybe he can get us the good "hook up" next time. The stories we heard from Cast Members about you are one for the record books. Didn't the Branch Davidians also hail from Texas? Enjoy your status as "leader"
