I have a couple of great shots of Ian in the pool. If someone reposts the CD swap information I will include them on my CD.

Today I finally had time to look through the 15 rolls of pictures that DH took. There are some really great pictures that I am looking forward to sharing, but it will take some time to figure out which ones to put on a CD. Since we have been talking about Ian, I thought I would post one of our shots:

He was definitely the highlight of the cruise! I loved the cruise staff. My favorite things included the Tom Wolber presentation, Susan Egan's show, and waking up in the morning to the rocking of the ship and letting myself fall back to sleep as much as I wanted. :thumbsup2 Tonight I asked Bryan what his favorite thing was, and his answer was "ice cream".

Here is one of the pictures from the scrapbooking meet:

And one from the wine tasting:

Hey Steph, whatever became of the leftover wine - did you manage to finish it up yourself? :rotfl: It was really fun seeing everyone all around the ship. I wish I could have met more of you - there were so many that it was a little overwhelming for me to remember everyone. We were with Ed and Karen on our flight back to Portland. So much more to tell...but it well have to wait until another day.

WOW, what can I say? Glad this thread is back on track. I am so sorry that we missed the wine tasting. Loved the pics of the scrapbooking.

Wow, just love those pictures from the scrapbooking get-together.

PHOTOS: I would really appreciate receiving some photos from each of you. My camera died the first day on the cruise, and I'm photo-less. Anyone that would like to share a CD, I'd be glad to reimburse the cost of the CD.

Hope everyone is having a pixie-dusted day!

We're going to Disneyland this weekend for three days! YAHOO! Staying at the Grand Californian with some friends that are coming off a cruise on Saturday.

Steve, Kirsty, Michelle, Sandy: Anyone want to meet up with us this weekend? We'd love to see you!

Ok, If I manage to come to Cali in the next few weeks. I expect someone to plan a DisneyLand trip!! :rolleyes1 I'm suppose to go to San Jose and then fly down to San Deigo.

Celia, I'm in the process of putting our pictures up on photobucket. If there is any that you want, please take them.

Hello everyone!
I missed everyone at the meeting because we got on late, but I was able to find some of you by pure luck. Celia and Cheryl it was nice meeting you in the pictures line! Wasn't pub quest great? My husband and I won third place. We were very excited!

Linda thanks for the magnet. My husband loved it! i wanted to thank you in person, but i didn't know how to contact you. It is on our refrigerator now!

I want to do another cruise! i am so sad to be home. What is even worse is my husband and i both have a cold now too. i think we got what my mom had before we left. At least it had the decency to wait until after the trip to materialize. Now it is back to school and work again. I am so depressed! I might have to schedule another trip to feel better.

Okay, I'm officially jealous of you... :rotfl:

The three of us went out to DL for a few days back in April (as if we'd go all the way out to SoCal for the taping and NOT visit there...), but about all we saw of the Californian was Storyteller's Cafe. It's a beautiful place though, and I really enjoyed the experience.

Back on the subject of the cruise though... I downloaded the pictures we took while on the cruise, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw that it was almost 600 of them! :faint:

Hi everyone - we arrived home this afternoon (we actually landed in the UK yesterday morning but stayed a night in a hotel outside London). I'm hoping we are over jet-lag as I'm off to work tomorrow morning.

Thanks to everyone who made this a memorable cruise (except for the two days I was ill) and all the extra work and effort they made for everyone else. A special mention to Steph and her family for the warmth and hospitality they extended to everyone concerned - I wish I had been well enough to have attended the wine tasting!!

Helen managed to increase our luggage to eight cases, which was a struugle to fit into our car when we got to London. Alex does not stop going on about the cruise and all the friends he met in Aloft, Bethan misses her "Kids Club" and everyone she met.

Four weeks was a long time to spend on holiday and that was evident by the amount of mail waiting for me when I opened our front door.

I'm sad to see a post on a different thread from people who chose not to "join in" - what I liked about the fellow Disers is that they are there if you want them. I'm actually a very reserved person (even for a Brit) and I personally found the mixture absolutely perfect. I felt the Disers I met were lovely people with many backgrounds, views, and ideas to share - and so many like our Prime Minister, Tony Blair as well :) .

On a sad note, on Monday night we went for something to eat when Helen's bag was stolen containing my camera, lens, and our sunglasses. Due to some strange Florida law of abandonment, the police weren't interested. Helen was very upset as she thought it was her fault and that put a tinge on our whole holiday. I turned detective and found out who had the camera and where it was but the police (very rudely, might I add) still weren't interested.

Anyway, it's very late here and due to the previously mentioned storm on 17-August, when my laptop got shocked to death, I'm using Alex's computer and he needs to go to bed.

Speak to you all very soon.

David, Helen, Alex & Bethan.

Us too. We have colds as well but are VERY thankful that it didn't materialize until the flight home.

We did book while onboard for Sept 15th, 2007. Anyone else?

Oh, no!!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! That would be extremely upsetting!

I hope that you all are well rested soon! I usually have terrible jet lag. DH is very fortunate -- it doesn't seem to affect him much!

We did drink some of it. ;) Everytime I ran into someone I would try to remember to tell them to come by for a glass! LOL! No one took us up on the offer....

What fun that you had cruise people on your flight home! And Karen & Ed were (are?) nice! :) I really like people that actually speak to my children and don't act like they are invisible! LOL!

I hope your ds had a good cruise -- I know he was reluctant when you changed dates.

You are so right... it would be impossible to remember everyone you met! I certainly tried but, I do know that I failed.... :sad2:

Amlee: Thanks for the lovely offer. If you make it down this far, we'll definitely find time to go to Disneyland and say hello!

I'll let you know when they are all up and going. I've got about 43 or so downloaded. Only about 6 or 7 hundred more left.

I'll find out more next week on the Cali trip. It all depends on the status of my friend (still no word on him) and what the doctor thinks of my back.

Yall ain't going to believe this and No I don't know how I did it, The doctor thinks I might have broken my foot. I go tomorrow to see about x-rays and the such. It started swelling right after St. Lucia and at night I would ice it down. But by mid day it would be back the size of a grapefruit. Now when I walk on it at home barefoot, I can feel a bone popping in it. Since I have no feeling in that foot or the bottom half of that leg, I have no pain that a normal person would feel. :rotfl2: It's the same one that I broke in May of 05 while in Fiji, that I didn't know was broken until July.

My favorite part of the trip was all of the people that I met and sharing 10 days of magical experiences with them. It is always interesting to meet people from all over the world and learn about their jobs, families, and backgrounds. That is one of the benefits of cruising over other types of vacations...the chance to meet people and develop a relationship. We are a group that cares about Amy's friend, Cheryl and John's grandbaby, Shelby, Steve and John's jellyfish stings, Crystal and her boys, Claire's friendliness, Pirana's shyness (?!?), Karen's mashed potatoes, Chipper's anniversary, where the wedding will finally be, what happened to all of the extra wine, that Mac enjoyed his Peter Pan book, that Tiggerstac liked her hat, etc. etc. I wouldn't have missed meeting all of you for anything! Reunion, anyone?

A couple of California guys have to go else where to get stung..... Jon may have been stung at every port...... The one from Antigua left quite a mark -- it is still there! He has said that the little ones in St Lucia hurt the longest.

I do agree that it is fascinating meeting new people!

That would be chipper :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Hi Chris :wave2:

David I hope you didn't lose your pictures as well as your camera?

Celia, I'm so jealous ... I want to go to Disneyland .... how could you do a trip without us?

:rotfl2: At Castaway I told him to go for it. Why not complete the whole trip with a Jellyfish sting from all the ports!

Glad to see everyone made it home safely. The cruise seemed way too short. Are you sure we weren't on the 3 day Wonder? :confused3

Our flight home to Portland was long and uneventful. Everything seems so much harder to do after the cruise. Todd and I had to go grocery shopping last night, make dinner, and get this....clean up afterward! I was nearly in tears washing my first pot in 2 weeks. :sad2: When we went to bed, it wasn't turned down! What was going on?! I couldn't find the navigator or any chocolates either. How am I supposed to know what to do the next day? :confused3:

It was truly a pleasure meeting everyone on board. You guys are a great bunch! I don't think I could have asked for a better DIS family to sail with! I think a reunion is in order :goodvibes

Thank you Steph and family for being such gracious hosts at the wine party...wish we could have attended more get-togethers. It was great running into people at different times throughout the cruise. Cheryl & John...congrats on the grandbaby! What a wonderful gift to comeback to! And thank you to all fish extender fairies...it was like Christmas for us everytime we went back to our stateroom!

Well it's been back to the grind for us. We are planning on cruising again in 2008...hopefully on a special itinerary such as this one.

Group hugs, group hugs :grouphug:
