9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

I just saw this on another thread...

According to our local paper a disney cruise ship line employee was arrested after he exposed himself to three woman on a voyage. Omer, 38 from Turkey was charged with disorderly conduct. He was in food services and had worked for DCL longer than a year and had never been in trouble before.
Omer was isolated from guest areas after the incident and has now been arrested.



Okay now what I don't get is What makes a guy in "Food Services" serve up something more than dinner to THREE women??? I mean you just don't go around flashing folks for no reason at work if you work on a Disney ship! Sorry I missed that one!

I still don't have a fish extender. Cannot seem to find one at the dollar stores and haven't broken down to make one yet. Got my fishy gifts, though.

Perhaps I'll finally make one about 3am on the 7th???

We found one on Ebay...and it is lime green w/Mickey and Minnie. It isn't long like some of the ones others have made, but it should work.

Did you make him a tshirt to wear that day?? Thats what we are doing for DS, who turns 5 on 9/8. I made (or am making..design is done thanks to julia&nicksmom, just need to do the ironing) a Nemo one it's really cute.

and paid the money to change our flight! I didn't want to miss running around the ship making galley tour, bridge tour, or Palo brunch re servatons!!! Frankly, I just didn't want to miss running around the ship for 10 days with you guys! So, I took an extra 1/2 day of work off and we are flying out Wednesday afternoon. Now, to find a hotel! Just found out the Hyatt is booked and we purchased the Disney transfers. Is anyone staying at another hotel at the airport? If so, we can have our first Dis meet! Let me know.

I have stayed at the Marriot near the airport and the Hilton a few times. They are very nice.

This is our Fish extenders. They aren't completely finished, but you can get the idea of them. It's a simple canvas tote, with pieces of material glued to the front of it, making smaller pockets. Mine is the mickey one with a mickey icon glued to it. Sally's is the pink with the princess on it. I've still got to add our names to them and do a little bit more detail, but you can get the idea of it. It took us about 20 minutes to make them. To hang Sally's where it's lower than mine. I'm taking some string to tie over the fish and then hooking it to her back handle. We folded the outer handle inside so it wouldn' be in the way and added velcro to the inside so the bags wouldn't be hanging open. All with GLUE!!

Okay Linda I saw your Trivia Champ pic, you and my husband are going to get along GREAT!!! He was on Jeopardy! a few months ago!!!

Seems like there are alot of Disney trivia buffs cruising with us...I am scared I haveforgotten everything I knew! But I think trivia events should be alot of fun considering how all of us DISboarders love Disney so much.

What are your favorite characters...we have a spreadsheet going for that, too. I need Mac's and Eric's and yourswhen you get a chance.

I keep journals of my travels, so I think I'll be out on the verandah writing or up at the buffet eating! Sally is a late sleeper, so she can find her way up whenever she wants.

HiYaPal...seeing you in costumes, makes me miss my days at the Disney Store... Of course, I loved the other costumes better. I loved the varsity sweaters w/the "M" on them....
Are you still working there?? I go into the 2 that I use to work at and there is 1 person still there at the first one, and maybe 2 still there from the 2nd one (I transferred when I transferred colleges).

Thanks, I thought you might like that idea. Simple, but it works. Wal-mart has the canvas totes in different colors, and then we used different colors of materials to make the layered pockets. They also had the icons. So you can get as fancy or as simple as you want.

Okay...I am packed for the most part...2 suitcases! One big one medium/small...the big one is hovering at the 50 pound mark though...hmmm...I am wondering if I should use my lightweight hardside instead of my medium one, as it is a little more roomy......hmmm, decisions, decisions...

I also packed a duffle all folded up...for the trip home, lol.

I have plenty of room in my carry on though...
