Just got off the phone with our TA and got a good rate at Pop Century for our annual Christmas trip.....$59 which I guess is the AP rate. Usually we stay at POR, but thought that we'd save a few bucks this year and just do four nights at a value starting 12/4. We've stayed at ASM before, but not this one.

We're doing MVMCP 12/4. I booked the Fatasmic Dinner Package and also the CP Dinner Package. So, whatever we don't spend on the Wonder will not be wasted!
Ricka47~ we went last year around the same time and it was so magical! You will have a great time!

Carol & Steph~ I have pm'ed both of you our stateroom number, I have 70 something goody bags made- so I am hoping that is enough! :rotfl:

Crystal~ when is the latest we can let you know about the transportation to Pineaplle Beach? Pickup is at 8:30am, right?

Sandy~ I wish I could scrap :guilty: I just don't have the time- but believe it or not- I actually have supplies! ;) I was crafty b/4 our girls were born- so I was given a lot (assunming I would have the time to scrap- but I could never- I am too much of a perfectionist. So if I could devote the time I felt, I let it slide :( ) , then we visit WDW and each trip I pick up more... hopefully I will be able to start soon- our youngest turns 4 the end of next month, so I should be able to try while she is at pre-k, but that is only 2.5 hours 3 days a week.... Maybe next year ;)

I know what you mean, I am also strapped for time... :hourglass
I run a home daycare and I have up to 14 children here on any given day except Sunday.
BUT, I do manage to get in at least 4 hours a week while the kids are napping. I play with my papers, look at my emblishments, and surf the web looking at other scrappers ideas.

I BUY almost anything that sparkles or looks magical or Disney in regards to scrapping, I cut out pictures of Mickey or castles or things that have crowns on them as I LOVE things to do with royalty, princes, princessess, fairytales etc...

Anytime my DH can not find me in a store, he just needs to look in the scrap book department as I am there, rifling thru all the things that I may have missed the day before. :rotfl:

Karen...
I've NEVER done a swap or anything like this before as I am new to scrapping, so I appreciate any info about this swap as possible.

While I am addicted to buying ANYthing Disney and most things nautical as I do cruise, ...personally, I would like everyone to bring as much as they want to trade, that way we end up with lots of stuff,
but on the other hand, my friend Davina is VERY new to Scrapping and does not have very much so she would be hard pressed to bring lots of things, so I feel that everyone should just bring however much they want ... that way no one is obligated to bring any certain amount. And we each end up with what ever amount we originally brought.

What do you think?

Am I over thinking this?

Hi Sandy,

I think this should be fine. It would have been nice to have everyone scrap a two page layout x the number of people participating so that we could each have an album when we got together, but time constraints really wouldn't allow for that at this point. It will be a wonderful opportunity for us to sit and chat, and then we can swap whatever we can. If anyone is interested and has time to spare, you could bring small premade items to swap as well. I just may try to get a few pocket photo albums embellished or calanders and bring those to swap. They are easy and very useful!!!

If anyone else has an opinion, jump right in and we can take it from there!

Thanks!
Karen :)

Karen you sound like a veteran scrapper and I for one, can't wait to see what you bring! :cool1:

Ricka47: The 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, IMO, are the best. Everything is deocrated for Christmas but the parks are not crowded. It seems Most folks want to go during Thanksgiving or Christmas-New Years week. The temperature is great, weather is great, lines are short! :sunny:

We try to go up to WDW each year at this time.

I do not want to step on any toes... :scared:
so please let me know if anyone else is doing this...

I am attempting to put together a Personal DISer Navigator for us... :hyper:

I might totally fudge it up and end up NOT bringing it...
so I have decided to post this thereby forcing myself to DO it...,:rolleyes1

I will get it together as best I can and I will bring enough for everyone to have one and hand them out at the 3pm Meet-n-Greet. (where did we decide to do that after all?) :scratchin

I'll include everyone's stateroom number so we will know who & where we are.
Also any get togethers and celebrations that may be happening...

ANY suggestions are appreciated.

For all those Scrapping, don't forget to invite.........

Wow Sandy- 14 kids?!?!?!? I have a hard time with only 2! Between the girls, I am a small business co-owner and a Behavior Specialist for children with Autism (I now only have 1 after school student, but will occassionally do some one time assesments, etc- before I was a mom this was my full time career), plus keeping Mike (DH) in check... I have the stuff, just can't find the time.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Personal DISer Navigator idea! Let me know if you need any help! :) I don't think ewe'll be at the 3pm Meet-n-Greet (we only land in Orlando at 2pm), is there a later meet?

oooppss!!! I thought I was under my name -- Stephanie

You are not stepping on toes!
I PM'd you but just thought I would repeat for the rest of this great group, and I do mean GREAT, that I have an excel spread sheet with all the staterooms on it that I will gladly e-mail to anyone. I also was able to convert it to a Word document if anyone needs it that way.

I am here to serve :wave2:

Sandy -

The person who did the Personal Navigators for the PC Repo cruise posted the file on the cruise website, so they could be downloaded and other events loaded. That lowered the # of copies necessary to bring to the ship :) It also gave everyone the chance to add events of their own!

Sandy & Karen -

I've taken part in a # of swaps, both on-line and in person, both types. I agree it's too close to sailing time for a layout swap.

A smaller swap of Tags (Disney or DCL theme) with each person bringing enough for everyone would be nice. Another swap I'll be taking part in October is a Page of Me swap - everyone makes enough 6"x 6" pages (all the same) for everyone in the group. Hmmm.... what about a Tag of Me? That way we'd each have a memory of the other scrappers. Then there are also Artist Trading Cards ... another small item, easily made, that make good swaps and can be personalized.

Of course Ribbons, Fibers & Silk Flowers are always great! I'll be glad to bring my Sizzlet machine and the Nouveau & Aphrodite alphas if anyone is interested in using it to cut a title :) After cutting 14 complete alphabets for another swap, I WON'T do all the cutting!

OK... you are talking WAY above my head... I've only been scrapping for a few months... I have NO Idea about what a "Tag of Me" is or Artist Trading Cards are. I can't wait to find out.

Another SB idea - I have kits & instructions for a flag book class I was supposed to teach that never happened.... Would anyone be interested in doing this either the same day or another time? For an example see http://www.clubscrap.com/pgdrv2.cfm?c=ghm/item_details&iID=5287&cid=1&scid=49&b=std&pgNum=2? The kits I have are all different - you'd have a choice of colors (and not the ones pictured). I'd like to collect the cost of the kits ($7 each), but that's all. Everything but the glue (which I'll bring) is included. E-mail me if you're interested.
