or does that mean that if you want to enjoy this port you have to get off now?
If I don't plan any excursions and just want to spend time shopping or at the beach, I may want to wait to disembark a little later than everyone else.

You can get off whenever you want! :)

We've done a few DCLs with formal nights:

Guys: Tux or dark suit
Ladies: Everything from long gowns to shorter, but dressy evening wear. I'm wearing a couple of evening pants outfits. One is beaded an ivory colored, the other is pink satin top with black pants. As you can tell, it runs the gamit with ladies...as usual!

Hi!

I'm curious what do the ladies wear for formal nights? Are they talking full length gowns? 3/4 length? Do the ladies typically wear black/dark, or are theyre pastels worn etc? :confused3 I'm going nuts trying to figure out what to pack! :Pinkbounc Do alot of the guy's wear tuxedos? Please Help!!AHH!

Thanks Stepht5 for the info...are all colors "in"? I didn't know if champagne pink, or lavender was worn? :confused3

I have no idea about that! I am not that *hip*! :rotfl: The colors that I bought (I bought way more then I am going to bring - that's how good my deals were!) are Red, Black & Coral (beaded). The black on is short so, I may just wear it for dinner one night -- I LOVE it and I need someplace to wear it! LOL!

No the ones that are 12" long and are folded over with bar codes on it,
and they give you the bottom portion and attach it to your docs in case your luggage doesnt arrive,
If I knew how to post a pic I would show you...
lol

Here is a picture of our luggage tags.....

Thanks Sandy. It will almost seem like I am there. :rotfl2: :cheer2:

NO Doc Dance for me. :sad2: :sad2:

Like I said before...Fly into Burbank Airport on Sunday, I will pick you up!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anyone else going to the Mouse House on Sunday?

I can't believe it is time to do the doc dance! I was just joking earlier...Three weeks from tommorrow we will all be on the ship. Cheryl and Jon, don't be sad...you will dancing by this weekend!!

I bought a tux last weekend for the cruise (it was a little bit more then it would cost to rent it).The only problem is I hope it fits on the last formal night. popcorn:: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I am so ready to leave...even though I have not packed.

For formal nights everything seems to go. Short or long dresses, pant suits and every color of the rainbow is represented. I usually take a bridesmaid dress to wear. (I bought it might as well use it! I have several from all my cousins weddings.)

Is it just me or our the luggage tags the ugliest yellow!? I thought they would have soemthing cuter then that!

I still don't have a room assignment yet! I am so jealous of everyone else! :sad2:

StephT5,

Another Bargain shopper!! I got amazing deals at Lord and Taylor...I am packing a long black skirt...and two different coordinating tops...one is black and beaded...one is black lace....and this way I only need one pair of black shoes!

To save room in my luggage, I have one formal black skirt and then I have different tops to wear with it. Instead of trying to pack two or more dresses.

I said this on a formal night thread on the main board. I LOVE  formal night. It's usually the highlight of my cruise for me. I love to get a chair in the corner and watch people line up to march into the dining room. I call it "The What the Hell were You Thinking!?" march. My favorite was on a Carnival cruise. Was the 80 year old granny with the pink sequin(sp) mini dress and her walker! :rotfl2: It would have looked great on a 20 something year old with a body to die for. But NOT the granny! Or the 20 something year old that thought her bathing suit top looked hot with the black mini and was considered formal.

I do have to say this. On our disney cruise in Feb, even though it was semi-formal. Nobody was over dressed or under dress. All though I was disappointed I didn't get to have my fun. :sad2:

OK. You cracked me up! :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL On that carnival cruise, I kept telling my cousin to hurry up so we could get a good spot to watch. She didn't see what the big deal was until granny came through. :rotfl2: My cousin got the oddest look on her face when she spotted her. I was like see!! With out taking her eyes off the women. My cousin said "There should be a law on how short a women can wear her dress. When Gravity kicks in!" I swear I fell off my chair laughing!

Everything is looking up over here. He is doing much better now that some of the medication is wearing off. I am not so concered about being gone now that he is functioning almost normally again. He saw a neurologist yesterday that made us feel better about the whole thing though, they are still not sure what is causing the seizures. Another test to figure that out. He is acting like himself again so that is a good sign. Hopefully he'll get the EEG soon. it feels nice to talk (or write about it). I feel guilty planning for my trip while he is sick, but their is nothing I can do now.
It is great that he is doing well! However, having taken care of my father for 3 years, I know how important it is to occasionally have some quality time for yourself. Try not to feel too guilty. :grouphug:

My son decided to clean his room, lol....

He gave me 3 pair of docker style shorts in navy blue from Old Navy...size 14 too small and a pair of Izod khakis...size 14 too small....the worst part...they still have the tags on them.

Oh my, leave for a couple of hours, and you guys go crazy posting! :rotfl2:

When my DH heard that I would be cruising with my best friend (Chipper), he said I could wear his "Monkey Suit". That's what he calls his tuxedo. LOL!
No, I think I'll wear my own clothes honey.

Can't wait to eat Mickey bars, ride the "new and improved POC", buy "stuff", and meet all of my new cruising friends.

For those who can't meet up, we'll be on the ship soon enough driving each other crazy! :rotfl2:

Formal night my husband will be in a tux. My 3 DS's will be in suits and I will be in a long gown one night and a tea length the other formal night. I can not wait to see everyone all dressed up.

I am on my way to find more fish extender gifts. I hope I have good luck.

This sounds just like my son... :rolleyes1 he has TONS of new clothes... all with tags still hanging on and yet, he always wears the same 3 or 4 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts!... He drives me nuts... I keep buying him new clothes hoping he will get the hint to wear them, but he just keep piling them up in his room! What's a mother to do? :faint:

Congratulations to everyone that got their docs today... I'm still looking for our UPS man.:sail: :magnify: :car:
Time is getting short!... :hourglass :dancer:
