Yes, we have the "Free Dining". We had to give up our AAA room discount to get it, so to me, it's not all that "free". But since my DH will be with us I guess it's worth it. He doesn't care for WDW as much as the cruises. I'm hoping with the dining he will think he's on the cruise. ( Doesn't have to worry about paying or how much.)
I was just looking at the excursions, and I saved some to my wish list. But some was being saved that I didn't click on and the one Tropical Waterfall Experience is listed as St. Maarten. And they still don't have anything for Barbados, yet. I would really like the drive thru volcano tour, I think. Anyone doing things on your own? On our two previous cruises, we always just took a cab to a beach or shopping. The last time we felt we were ripped off by the cab driver, so now I'm not as comfortable with it. I know we want to go to Meagan's Bay on St. Thomas.

CJ - I am also interested in the active volcano near St. Lucia and am trying to find out excursions for that, I have been unsuccessful!!!

Where is the excursions for Barbados, I am really looking forward to see what they will offer.

The last time I talked to DCL they said they were waiting to confirm excursions for Barbados. I guess they decided to post the ones for the other islands, even if they didn't have them all finalized, yet. It was something about making sure they were working with reputable companies.

Pooh_Friend#1 - look under St. Lucia excursions, Island Delight. I think it's in the sight-seeing section.

CJ, we always would do things on our own instead of excursions but since the Panama Canal we are kind of leaning towards DCL excursions. I would be interested in the drive through volcano, also. My hubby prefers the cruise over WDW as well. The free food might be a good perk for the men!

Do you suppose we could get a bunch of Dis-er together to do a drive through volcano tour "on our own" (meaning cheaper then DCL)? I'll check into prices on your own and see what I can come up with.

This is what I've found so far :confused3

DCL Island Delight 5.5-6 hrs. 3-9 $45 10+ $55

Shore Trips Soufriere Island Delight See the highlights of this 'Simply Beautiful' Island.
Departures (Local Island Time): 08:50 AM (4 hrs) 08:50 AM (4 hrs)
Pricing: Per Person: $63.00 USD Child: $47.00 USD (Age 11 and under)

Could it be DCL is cheaper?

Alright, time to start planning. Thanks for posting the excursions.

I think it would be great if we could get some DISers together and do a tour of the volcano.

I was hoping they would have an excursion to the Malibu rum factory, guess I will have to do that on my own. Malibu is my only choice of rum so I hope I can get it for cheap and hopefully they have a souvenier shop.

I was on the cruise critic site trying to get reviews on excursions and many people have used private tour services that they raved about in St. Lucia. They said the tours were much longer than the cruise lines offer and obviously much less crowded and more personal.

I would like to see things specific to each island and not just the standard snorkeling, beach break, shopping areas etc.....

Here are some of the sites that people have recommended on cruise critic:

CJ - I am also interested in the active volcano near St. Lucia and am trying to find out excursions for that, I have been unsuccessful!!!

There is an excersion for St. Lucia called "Island Delight" which includes "the dirve through volcano". But is a 6 hour tour of the island. Alex

Man, I can sure relate to the kitchen horror. It was kind of nice cuz we could eat out more. :teeth:

BIG thanks to all that are sharing their excursion info.

We're in the middle of getting a new kitchen, too. We're remodeling an old house that only had metal cupboards. The new wood cabinets are almost finished, the they have to measure for the counter top and install that. I'm glad we're not living there, yet.

I checked out the two links winnyis posted and they both look interesting. One was only $45/ adult and included food. Like I always say "It's all about the food!"
