9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

I just found out that I was upgraded again for this cruise, I have never heard of a double upgrade before. Went from a Category 9 to a 6 and now to a 5. I checked my parents reservation and they have not been upgraded yet, but there is still time.

How exciting!!!! I really hope our older kids get upgraded.....

Maybe I'm jealous but that wouldn't make sense that DCL would upgrade when we still are over 120 days from sailing and the ship is not even full.

Anyone else upgraded already?

Okay I was checking on the DCL page and there is conflicting information. I can't remember who, but someone posted that there is 2 St. Lucia days and that they took away Barbados. Well when I first log on to My Reservation it shows Barbados on Tuesday, Sept 12th. When I go to My Disney Cruise it shows St. Lucia on Monday and Tuesday and no Barbados...what is going on?

I emailed DCL about this and they responded that they are aware of the problem and are working with their partners to get this fixed. She stated that we are going to Barbados on the 12th and not St. Lucia for 2 days.

Thanks Heidi! I really want to go to Barbados and NOT St. Lucia for 2 days! If anything, I would rather have another sea day than two days in one port.

Steve, the upgrade does make sense to me. The way I look at it, the lower catagorys are being sold and not the upper catagories. To get more bookings they are making more lower catagories available by upgrading. Just a thought.

I assume those of you getting upgrades booked directly through Disney? We book through AAA and I've never gotten an upgrade after four cruises with DCL. I think we have always gotten really good rates, but perhaps it's time for a change when/if we book the Med cruise for next year.

We are going to check and see if we got an upgrade again. This is our 6th cruise and we have never gotten an upgrade. Maybe we will be surprised this time. Thank you Poohfriend for getting the info about Barbados

This is our 6th cruise as well. I don't expect an upgrade. I understand that it is just the luck of the draw. But....it sure would be nice! I was hoping and praying that we would get one for the Panama Canal cruise but didn't. Ended up loving our room so much that we asked for it again for this cruise.

This is our fifth cruise and we have never recieved an upgrade either. I would love to know how they pick and choose.

Maybe we will all luck out and as it gets closer they will upgrade more of us.

But if we dont, oh well at least we will be on the ship.

I just found out why I got the first upgrade. I guess the room I was assigned to was a semi-handicap room that had a walk-in shower and they needed that room for someone with a disability.

Makes sense to me Heidi. When we booked that room we didn't realize that it was a semi handicapped room. I wonder if you would have been happy in it?

Just got a little cruise planning brochure from DCL. Did everyone else get theirs? Still nothing on excursions yet. I wonder how much longer they are going to wait before releasing this information.

I hate to come on and be a BRAGADOODLE but our reservations were linked with Heidi's (alias Pooh Friend #1) and Sandy's (alias Jiminy C fan) and since they upgraded Heidi's reservations (something about needing the handicap room) we all have been upgraded. Woo-woo . Five cruises and never an upgrade before but now we are in a "Deluxe Stateroom Verandah". Since we are three adult women sharing one room that Verandah gives us alot of extra space.

I received my little brochure too but it really wasn't very informative. It is mostly things we knew already. I hope I can afford some excursions since there is a possiblity we may have a Nurses strike in July. No money$$$$$$. No excursions

I am starting to get SOOOOOOOO excited already. I don't know what I will be like by the end of August. I know I haven't been a regular but is there alot of people going to WDW before or after the cruise. We are all going from September 3rd to the 7th staying at All Stars Movies & taking advantage of the free food special. We were going to go to WDW at the end of the cruise but my daughter-in-law is due September 28th - first grandbaby and it's a girl (Zoe).

You will find out I start to ramble on.... have a super Saturday. Can't wait to meet you all. Toodles JEANNE
