Has anyone found any deep sea fishing excursions. My DBF would love to do that but all I can find are ones where you have to rent the boat out for 4 hours.

How is the fishing excursion on CC? If you catch a fish do you get to keep it?

My son did the deep sea fishing on our last cruise at CC. It was a catch and release program. He had a great time. He is hoping to do another one at one of the stops on our cruise. Maybe it will be a choice when Disney releases the excursions for our cruise.

I am hoping that they will have an excursion for this on one of the other ports because my DBF also wants to go parasailing on CC. He really wants to go fishing but I told him it was one or the other!!!!! Me, I like to lounge on the beach and go snorkeling with my mom and dad.

I want to go parasailing, but I really want to go on the Eco Tour with the jet ski's. You and dad wanna come with me?

This will be my third cruise on DCL. Both times we cruised my three children didn't spend much time in the children's lab. I hear so many wonderful things about the program I would love for them to give it a try. I am thinking if they made a new friend they may want to go to the clubs. If anyone is interested in exchanging email addresses or home addresses please let me know. My DS is 13, DD 11 and DD 9.

WeLuvDisney,

Your penpal idea is terrific. When our daughter was 11, she found a DIS email pal before the cruise. They hooked-up by Scoops on the first day, and spent the rest of the cruise hanging out together. Five years later, they still keep in touch! :thumbsup2

My kids are the wrong age, but I hope other parents take you up on your offer. Good luck!

Lisa

My kids are all boys, but I can definitely ask them if they are interested in having a pen pal. There ages are DS 14, DS 9, DS 8.

I think the Eco tour sounds interesting as well. Has anyone ever done it? What did you think?

Just how much longer is it until this cruise? :hourglass Man, I need some rest, relaxation & quality time with my oh so special family. :furious: By the way, what's the deal with Ducky? :confused3 I understand there's some hoopla regarding him going on our cruise, but frankly, I don't understand the excitement. Is it time for the cruise yet? How about now? OK, what about now? Now? :hourglass

Smola,

I've done the Eco tour twice. Obviously, I like it! ;) It's really not much of an "eco" tour...its just a chance to drive waverunners (fast!) around the ship and out to a sandbar (if you do it in the afternoon, the sandbar is dry...in the morning, you'll be standing in thigh high water.) Anyway, from the sandbar, you can see Abaco in one direction and Castaway Cay in the other. The water is gorgeous and you'll wish that you could just spend the rest of your day on this little slice of heaven! :cheer2: In reality, you spend about 10 minutes there...the guides give a little talk on the history of the Bahamas and specifically the history of CC. You have a little time to just zip around on the waverunners, and then it is back to the island. Lots of fun!

Sounds like something I would definitely be into doing. Previously on CC my DH and I have had Cabana massages and done the banana boat. This was fun, but not much of a thrill. The Eco tour seems a bit more of an adrenaline rush.

My DS, also 13, will be spending time at Aloft for teens on our cruise. He would welcome a new friend to exchange emails or instant messages with before the cruise. He is also a DCL veteran, as you can see from my signature. Even if they don't want to go to the Aloft all the time, they could just hang out at the pool, play video games (I know my DSs 13 & 19 are bringing the PS2) or whatever else teens do to stay amused on the ship!

I'll send you a PM with his contact info.

My boyfriend told me last night that instead of going fishing on CC he would rather spend it with me, so I think we may try for the Eco Tour on the wave runners!!! How many hours is the Eco Tour?

We've been to CC many times and we really enjoyed the nature walk/kayak tour they had. The naturalist was very informative and it was an easy kayaking area. This trip on CC we are going to practice going Goofy. We are training to walk the Goofy Challenge for the Disney marathon weekend. The Goofy challenge is the half marathon Sat. (13.1 miles) and the marathon on Sun. (26.2 miles). We hope to walk 10 miles on Fri.(30 laps on the ship) and walk 20 miles on CC. We are not sure of the milage from the dock to the end of the road by adult beach, but we walk a pace of 14.5 min./mile so a 5 hour walk should be about right. Anyone want to join us? Alex

:confused3 Who knows? We will have to ask Dad. I bet he would love it. My nerves are already kicking in about the waverunners. You really think I could do it????

Great advice Steve!!!!

Mom - you can do it and I am sure you would have a lot of fun doing it. If you did parasailing and you are afraid of heights, I am pretty sure you can do wave runners. :goodvibes
