Thanks for all the Wonderful comments!!!

Well....I called DCL to make some changes on my reservation and inquired if they knew anything about our cruise?

They said that DCL still has not released anything details yet.

This may have been mentioned before, but does anyone know anything that is going on? (Formal nights, special guests, entertainment, etc?)

If not, what would be a wish list of things we would like to see? (Trying to keep the thread alive)

I know we have alot of SOF families on this cruise, so I would love to hear your thoughts too.

thanks,

Steve

I agree, that Shelby is a beautiful girl. What an adorable baby!

Steve, I was one of those on the SOF but not sure what you are interested in. We really didn't participate too much on that cruise with the DISers. We did the meet and greet and the wine party and that was about it. I do know they had the room tour, that they linked dinner ressies and also had the ship photographer take a HUGE pics of all the DISers. Then someone ordered lanyards and had pins made up just for our cruise. They lanyards were fun because everywhere you went you would see a DISer. I wish I remembered who ordered them. They were great as they were made of soft material and had the SOF logo on it. Not that stiff scratchy kind.
They had their own excursions. Gosh, I can't think of everything right now.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for replying.

What I was talking about was the special events that happened on your 14 day cruise. Like Susan Egan, (voice form Hercules), special dinners (like the Mickey Mouse club and the Beauty and beast dance/pin), Special one of a kind shows and entertainment, which was only available on your cruise.

I hope we get some like this on our cruise!

We have our Airfare booked to Orlando! Now waiting for a way to get home

I think it is rumored that Ducky Williams will be on with us.

It's not a rumor. He told us that he chose the 10 day Wonder over the 11 day Wonder. So what does that mean? Probably a special lithograph to go along with the PC lithograph. :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Steve, I could only dream to be treated like we were on the PC cruise. I can't imagine going through that again. All the special shows and all the nice free gifts on our bed at night. Wow, it makes me teary just thinking what an awesome cruise that was. Heidi mentioned that Ducky might be on. I really recommend people listen to his talk. He is so inspiring and has a wonderful personality.

I'm thinking about booking our flights soon too, with gas prices going up(which means jet fuel prices are going up), the airlines are going to have to rasie prices to just to keep up.

Just my thoughts......

Steve

So, any word on when DCL will announce special events and shore excursions? :confused3 It shouldn't be too long...final payment is due in just over two months (I think! ;) ) It seems like the Med cruises have taken over DCL...they've forgotten that they still have our cruise to plan! ;-)

I remember that many months ago someone called and got a list for formal night, etc. I'll scroll back and see whether I can find it. And having Ducky Williams onboard sounds great. I'm sure he'll be very interesting. :thumbsup2

Have a good one.

6 casual night
1 Pirate\Tropical
1 semi-formal (Thursday Sept. 14)
2 Formal (Sept.9 & Sept. 15)

Hope this helps! :cheer2:

Sandy

I totally agree. If Disney does only half of the special things they did for us for the PC cruise it will be great. The pirate training, the princess at sea event, special gifts almost every night at dinner..... the list goes on and on. That was an awesome vacation.

Wow!!! It sounds as if those of you on the PC cruise really got treated like royalty. What a wonderful way to add to your already awesome vacation. Now we can only hope the 10 night cruise is filled with the same magic.

We have had the pleasure of cruising with Ducky several times. He usually does a "talk" about how he came to work for Disney and does a "how to draw Mickey" session with is great for the kids (big and small kids) but get there early, they are well attended and you don't want to be stuck in the back.
This is a big first for the Wonder. The Wonder does only 3 and 4 day cruises in the Bahamas, so this will be the first time for the Wonder in all the ports. Some ports do extras for first time visits (bands, performers, dancers, etc.). Alex

AND, he draws as he speaks to the audience and at the end Ducky draws numbers for the pictures. I was like a little kid praying that my number would be picked! I so wanted to trip :lmao: the lady that got the Jiminy Cricket drawing!

Hey...I just checked my ressie on the DCL site. Barbados has disappeared from the itinerary and has been replaced by two days in St Lucia!? Do your ressies reflect this change, as well?

I don't want to worry anyone, but I am curious. :confused3 The general site still lists Barbados, so there is probably just something weird going on with my specific reservation. :sad2:

Let me know!

Lisa

I have not checked my ressie recently, but I definitely will now. Hopefully, it is just a mistake listing St. Lucia twice.

I am so siked about Ducky being on this cruise. We will definitely be sure to make it to his talks. My sons, Michael and Jeffrey would love the "how to draw Mickey" class.

Lisa - you scared me for a bit, but I just checked my reservation and it still has Barbados. I hope mine is accurate and yours is not!!!!!!!

I also checked mine and it still says Barbados.
