Hiyas, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Michael, Stepht5's oldest and brother to Pirana :)
Glad to meet you. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

David,
Hope Helen is feeling better. Make her take it easy, OK?( I know, easier said than done ;) )

Welcome Michael!

Sandy, Jiminyc_fan, I just sent you the file and then read the latest posts. I did not get Valerie and Terry's names on Leira1989's line. Sorry :rolleyes1

Thanks all for the well wished. My leg is SLOWLY (or am I just impatient :rotfl: ) getting better.

I'm sure you have all heard about Tropical Storm Chris. It is hurricane season and this is only the 3rd named storm this season. Last year we had had 8 by this time. Let's hope Mother Nature doesn't make up for lost time!
We here in Florida will be keeping an eye on it. It looks like it might be coming just below the tip of FL and into the Gulf. May it dissipate quickly!!!!!

Later,
Carol

We will be in 7131, and I believe we will be neighbors of poohluv2u.

Howdy Neighbor! :wave2: That is so cool that our neighbors are fellow Disers. I think we have a pretty cool spot .... for an inside cabin that is!

DF Terry and I will arrive in Orlando late evening on 8/31/06 ($39 Airfare from Pittsburgh on Southwest) and extended our original stay at PC to check out on 9/7/06. With the Cruise we will have 17 days of Disney Fun ahead!!! :woohoo:

Leira, you must be following us, we are also staying at PC until 9/7, It would be way too much coincidence if we were staying next to each other there too :wizard:

Anybody know which stops are tender ports? We are dealing with a power scooter / wc situation.

Thanks!

Jane

OK. Where to start...

Wan: The wine tour is a great idea! I hope Stephanie's hubby will give the thumps up to doing this in her cabin. I purchased a couple of my favorite MO wines today...caught a sale! (You know me...the bargain queen!)

I hope you get your excursion issue worked out. If all else fails, check out shoretrips.com. We were considering their catamaran tour in Barbados, but decided to book DCL's Barbados Beach Day, 9:30 -2:30. Please add this to the excursion page on the website. Thanks.

Your dog reminds me of our Border Collie, Jasmine. Always the adventurer!

Sandy: If you are traveling with more than four in your party, it's better to take private limo. Save some $$$. We'reconsidering pairing up with Darlene's family (WeLuvDisneyAll6OfUs) to rent a Hummer limo. We're going with Happy Limo. But I've done a private limo before when my Mom came with us. It's really nicer than arriving with a whole bus load of people. You don't havle to wait at the airport for the bus to fill up. Also, you don't have to check in with so many people at once. At the airport, they will be waiting for you with a sign and most will help you as you claim your luggage. The limo drops you right at the front of Disney's terminal, so it's not that bad with the luggage. On the return you can check your luggage at the port for most airlines, but not Southwest (I don't think...someone correct me if I'm mistaken).

Frogjelly: Welcome to our thread. I'm looking forward to meeting all the Stepht5 family!

Carol: I'm glad your leg is better.

I didn't think we tendered either.

David - I hope Helen is doing better today.

Today is my last work day before VEGAS!!!!!!!

I had to take half day today because Helen has had a bad day (I don't know if I've mentioned before but she has ME / CFS), and was totally exhausted and had to return to bed by mid-day. All the planning, packing, and excitement has caught up with her I think and along with the children at home for their summer holidays it's all become too much. It's now 22:18 here in the UK and she has been up for about 30 minutes and looks totally washed out............

..........Some good but trivial news, I had aimed to achieve a feedback score of 900 on Ebay before we went on holidays and I took a look today and it was at 907 - I like targets!!

I didn't know that about your DW. About 21yrs ago DH was told that he had Epstein Barr (Cronic Fatigue Syndrome). He had a biopsy done on a lymph node (at the time they thought it might be cancer). After reading many articles (in women's magazines) on Fibroimiolgia (SP?) the last few years I am convinced that is what he has. :)

Tell her to take it easy so that she will have a good time in WDW & on the Wonder! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Congratulations on your Ebay feedback score! What do you sell on Ebay? I've just bought -- alot! :rotfl2:

Sorry, in all my rush to book this and start my preparation, I got confused as to whom I sent which information.

It's going to be me (Valerie) and my friend Terry. We're from north of Pittsburgh PA (Go Steelers!). We're going to be in 7131 and we have a late dining rotation.

I haven't booked any excursions yet. Maybe I'll see what I can get this weekend. We've been able to book a Palo dinner online, but I think I'll have to book the brunch in person.

I've added your info to the roster! :) Have fun picking out your excursions!

Stone Hill? :) When we are in MO I always stop at the Stone Hill place on I-70 @ HWY 19 in New Florence.
I know I've tried a couple of other MO wines from the St James & Hermann areas. My family is German after all! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

I just read they are moving Atlantis to the launch pad. They say the launch window begins Aug. 27 and lasts until Sept. 13. Maybe we will get lucky and we can see it launch as we sail away.

That would be great. We live in Fernandina Beach which is about 2.5 hours north and can see the shuttle launches even from here. It's mostly the bright fire and the contral, but it's still exciting to stand on the beach and see it go!

One question: we have two cabins and wanted to book a Palo's dinner under one and brunch under another. But, I don't see brunch listed as an option when I try to book on-line. All I see are dinners. We had brunch last time (7 Night Western Magic: 2/06) and it was great and would love to do it again!

This should be an interesting cruise for us. We're in our mid 50s and have a 13-year old DD. My parents are in their mid 80s and have been on about 75 cruises....but none on DCL....until now! We all went on a 10-night Mexican Riviera cruise on Celebrity in January, 2005 with them, my brother and his wife, and another couple and had a great time. It was the first time that the three of us had sailed with other folks and it was more festive.

My parents are celebrating their 60th something wedding anniversary on the ship (9/10) and it should be interesting to see what they think of DCL compared to the other lines they've sailed.

We've been on HAL, Princess, DCL, Celebrity, and RCI and would have to say that Celebrity is our favorite for food, service, and general atmosphere. But, DCL is so convenient and has been offering some nice Florida resident discounts....so here we are again...twice in 2006!

The WIne tour is a great idea! I'll check with Dh and maybe that is what we will do in our cabin....
Sounds like a fun time!!!!!!!!! :grouphug: bring. Do you know the rules for bringing sealed bottles on the plane. :confused3 I sure would hate to leave a nice bottle for the security people.

I know that leaving our last cruise I brought home a bottle of the Disney Champagne (in my carryon) with no problem. I could have kicked myself because I forgot a bottle, that we had left from the wine package, on the dining room table in our stateroom.

I'll tell dh that we need to sample some TX wines and see which ones we want to bring with us. ;)

I think all the online Brunch times are taken You can keep checking or call DCL to find out. They do hold back (50%?) of the ressies for onboard bookings.

If your dd would like to talk to my 15dd PM me and I'll let her know. I know Samantha (Pirana) is talking to several other teenagers that are going to be on this cruise.

David, I guess I missed part of the post about your wife. I am not familiar with her conditions. I know it must be hard on her with the children to take care of. I am sure you are helping her and please give her my best wishes. She will be in my prayers. Cheryl

Steph, let me check with Kristy, I think that would be a good idea...thanks!

P.S. I note from an earlier post that you homeschool? So do we....

I would love to be a part of the wine tour. We have some wonderful wines in this part of Ohio.

Sandysplayhouse:We have used FL Tours in the past and had a great experience.

Still need a fish extender and gifts. I need to ge busy. Someone previously told me that they had one I could use, but I have not had time to look back through the posts and find out who it is. Please tell me again if you don't mind. :confused3 :confused3

Have a great Thursday everyone!

My SNL is home! :cheer2:
We all got to go meet him yesterday. He was a such a beautiful sight for these sore eyes. We are sooooo happy he is home.
We can go on our cruise now!
