I couldn't sleep, so I thought I'd check in here to see what was going on. My DS turns 6 today, Aug.1.

Thanks everyone!

I guess I'm going on vacation before our cruise as well. I'm going to Chattanooga, TN with 3 Girl Scouts and my Co-Leader on Monday for 2 nights. We're going to see Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Incline Railway. On the way home, we're going to stop at a horse farm in KY.

Tomorrow we're suppose to go to the Ohio State Fair, but it's going to be awful HOT.

Well, Heidi and I have started making "gifts" for the fish extenders. Can't wait to pass them out.

Crystal : I am melting too. Heat index of a 110 today. It was still 93 degrees at 10:30 last night.

Heidi : Have a great vacation in Vegas. Remember it is dry heat.

Wazzapp : It would be wonderful to see the shuttle launch. The last time my Dh stood on a mound of fire ants. He got over thirty bites.

Carol : We need you in great shape. I am sending lots of pixie dust. Do everything the doctor tells you to do.

Sandy : Is everything under control now. Are all the kids cured? I still can't believe all you went through.

Dena : Happy birthday to you too. With so many Leos on board, we could take over the ship.

We've done the Ruby Falls, Rock City, etc. on the way back from Atlanta. It's really fun. The girls will enjoy it! My boys did. If I had my photos from back then organized, I could post one for you...yeah, right!

LOL!! I was able to see a launch once, and we also were bitten by fire ants!! Those little suckers pack a punch!

I was really jealous of all the Dillard's bargains I was reading about, 'cause we don't have one around here. But then, I went to JC Penney's over the week-end and found a "prom" dress for DD for...

...are you ready...

...$8.98!!!!!!!

Of coarse, I think she is WAY too young to be able to wear a prom dress. After all, she just turned 12 in May. So what if she wears a size 3 Jr, or a size 11 shoe. Yes, a womens size 11 shoe!! Just promise me if you meet her, don't look at her feet, she'll know I've been talking!

Great bargain! I tried to shop at JC Penny's the day I was shopping at Dillards BUT, it was sooo crowded!

A size 11???? I thought my girls had big feet. <gg> Both of my older girls (23 & 15) wear a 9 and my neice wears a 10 (she's only about 5'5"!) My dh wears a 13 (extra wide) and 26ds wears a 12.
I promise not to look at your dd's feet.

Wow, I have missed so much these past few days. I've just finished reading all the posts that I've missed and had so much to say, but my brain only has a 5 post buffer unfortunately...

AWESOME fish extender Crystal! You've inspired me to make my own, but I'm such a procrastinator that it will never happen in time for the cruise

Happy Belated Birthday to all that I missed!

Weddings, reunions, vacations ...makes time fly even faster! I'm starting to get nervous...I'm not ready to go, there's still so much to do and plan. But then again I'm ready to go!

WINE TOUR - I thought I had read this suggestion in a post or two here, but maybe I just dreamt it, I can't remember! It's supposed to be a get-together where we bring wines from our local regions and we can order some cheese trays from room service and do a little wine tasting of our own. I think it might be fun to do if we can get enough people who would be interested. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but would be happy to bring a bottle of Pinot Noir or Gris from Oregon.

Just another GENTLE reminder to please PM me or email me if you have made your excursion reservations. Lots of DISers here would love to know if there are fellow friends going on their excursions!

While I was making the excursions page for the web site, I was not thinking clearly and CANCELLED my Catamaran tour on Barbados so I could view the list of excursions for that island. The web site would not list any excursions otherwise. ANYWAY of course I could not rebook the excursion I cancelled! ACK! I called up DCL and they just said it's probably booked and keep trying on the web site and try when we board the ship. *SIGH* I'm still kicking myself! *breathe...deep breaths now...*

My dog Minnie had her knee surgery a week ago Monday. She's been under strict orders of being crated 24/7 except to go potty outside, or sit quietly with us while watching tv (or on the computer in my case ). Well, the first day we left her alone in her crate for 4 hours she ESCAPED. We have stairs all over our house so it was NOT GOOD. We're taking her to the Doc again Monday and hopefully she did not ruin her surgery. We're still not sure how she got out...parts of the metal was chewed up and bent, but she unlatched the door as well and squeezed out while wearing her e-collar too. AHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm not sure if I would call my DD & I "tin crack" addicts, but she does have a pin lanyard and a few pins. I have purchased "a few batteries" so she can trade with the CMs, but usually she just buys the ones she likes. I do have a feeling my DS will want to join the fun this time.

Guess What! My kitchen is suppose to be finished this week! (Yeah, right. I'll believe it when I see it!) Maybe I'll get to move before the cruise after all. Just what I need, something else I need to get done in a months time!

In case you hadn't noticed, I'm up in the middle of the night, again. Must be the heat, or I really am on UK time! Which would be just fine if I was SLEEPING on UK time.

I'm trying to book transportation from our Disney hotel to the Port, then to the airport after the cruise...

There are 9 of us traveling together...
Disney is charging $30/pp per trip... 9 x $30 x 2trips... that $540
I found that we can get a roomy van to pick us up for $270 TOTAL
I know that I won't have the convience of Disney handling our luggage from the ship to the airport... BUT come on... I'd be saving $270!

It sounds too good to be true... am I just being cheap or is this really a good deal?

Has anyone used FL TOURS transportation?
Are they reliable?
Any good or bad details I should know?
How much should I tip the driver?

Any information will be highly appreciated.

I have never used FL Tours, but we are using Tiffany Towncar, you should check them out as well. My mom discovered them a few trips back and now that is who we always use!!!
